You Can Try
Thanks for the awesome comments! They encourage me to continue my friends old piece of work! I hope this brings the whole ‘twilight vampire’ to shame.
Ch.3 You can Try
Soon everyone went off to do their things while Amber retired to bed. Jessica told her that she would watch over her room while she slept. Though she tried to convince her friend that she was otherwise capable of taking care of herself, it was of no use.
Hugging Jessica, Amber disappeared into her room. Hitting the soft bed and cuddling against warm covers and pillows, she soon fell into a deep sleep. It didn’t seem like a long sleep, no dreams were remembered, but Amber had been startled awake. She sat up in bed and tried to find out what it had been when she heard a loud thud, as if something was being thrown against a wall. She looked to her window and saw it was dark out: either she slept a whole day or it was very early morning.
After getting dressed in a shirt and blue jeans, she heard another bang, this time it made her jump, WHAT THE HELL! Just as quickly as the noise came Amber’s door was slammed open. It was Jeremy.
“AMBER! Oh, thank goodness you are still here! Hurry, you have to help me!”
Amber ran quickly to her newly acquainted friend, but before she could ask what was the matter, Jeremy had her wrist and was dragging her in directions that shw would get lost in if not for the girl leading her.
*Thud*
There it was again, it was closer now. “Jeremy what is going on?!”
They suddenly came to a halt upon reaching a stair railing. Looking over it and down upon the foyer was the location of the sound.
At first, all she saw was Dunkin, standing there with a proud smirk on his face and his attire ripped and torn at. Then Amber saw Ryan come from an unseen wall below her. She opened her mouth to say something but just as quick, Jeremy covered her mouth with her soft hand.
“You…Bastard.” Cursed Ryan as he approached Dunkin.
Dunkin’s smirk became a vile smile, “You can talk bad all you want, its not going to change anything.”
Amber watched, struggling with the hold Jeremy had on her. Ryan ran at Dunkin and hit him square on the cheek with a harsh punch that made her cringe. Dunkin’s footing faltered but his face stayed unmoving.
“You never learn do you?” Taunted Dunkin before he pushed Ryan. The effort seemed like a small effort, but Ryan was sent hurling into the wall underneath Amber’s feet. This time, as she struggled, Jeremy lost her hold.
“Stop it, Both of you!” Amber shouted as she flew down the stairs almost falling at the end of the steps, but catching herself. She ran over to the fallen man. Before she could ask if he was all right, he pushed her away.
“Get the hell away from me!” He growled at her.
Amber was hurt but she didn’t move from his side.
Amber turned to face Dunkin as he began to taunt Ryan once again, “Would you look at that, Ryan, you have yet another human trying to help you. How sweet. Maybe I should kill her too, huh?” He grinned madly as he tilted his head, “And maybe while you watch this time.”
Ryan growled and it made Amber’s hair stand on end. He was about to fling himself at Dunkin again but Amber got up and pushed against his chest, trying her best to stop him but it was of no use. As hard as she was trying he didn’t stop and she was going forward with him.
“Stop it!” He yelled trying to get his attention but he was blinded by his rage.
Amber turned towards Dunkin, she was angry and hurt, but worried about Jeremy at the same time. Ryan was Jackie’s boyfriend, and Jeremy seemed concerned for the girl and her boyfriend. Either way, Amber couldn’t let this continue. “Dunkin, Ryan, stop this before you kill yourselves!”
Dunkin laughed, and Amber’s outstretched hand that was used to stop them both, connected to his chest. Ryan had unknowingly pinned her between the two of them.
“Sweetheart, we are already dead.”
