The Confession

Mia woke up to the smell of bacon. She frowned in confusion and sat up slowly wondering if the after effects of the wine messed up her sense of smell. Her head hurt, but it wasn't too bad. Memories of last night came back to her. That's right; Kale and Aidan had spent the night after she'd drunken herself into a stupor. Then she realized why she had started drinking in the first place. Those men were going to drive her crazy one day. She just knew it. She glanced at the clock and was surprised to see it was already 11:00am. She could hear the television blasting in the living room. Kale was watching his usual Sunday football.

There was a knock on her door. It opened before she could say anything. Aidan peeped in the room and smiled at her. Mia gasped and ran her fingers through her tangled hair. She did not want them to see her as soon as she got up. She must look a mess.

She threw the covers over head, hiding from him. "Aidan! Could you at least wait until I say come in, before you open the door?"

Aidan chuckled. "It's kind of hard to take you seriously, Mia, when you're fussing at me under a sheet."

"What do you want?" She asked, as dignified as she could from under the cover.

"Well, it's a little late, but breakfast is ready. We were trying to give you time to wake up. You should come join us."

"Okay, I will as soon as you leave."

"Okay, Mia."

The door closed. Mia sighed in relief and pulled the covers off her. She screamed when she saw Aidan standing in front of her bed looking at her curiously.

"Whoa," he said teasingly. "So this is what you look like in the mornings."

"Aidan! Get out, get out, get out!" Mia raged and started throwing pillows at him.

"Mia, you look beautiful, I was just teasing. I couldn't help myself. Ow...OW! You're not allowed to throw pillows at your boss!" Aidan ran out the room when he realized she wasn't about to stop. Women. "It's not like I haven't seen you before in the mornings!" He said from the hallway.

"That's because I was always showered and groomed and wearing makeup before you saw me. Now leave me alone. I'll be out in a few minutes." Mia walked over to the door and slammed it shut. She couldn't believe he saw her at her worse. She had always tried to be so perfect around them, although she didn't know why. They were always surrounded by women who were a whole lot more perfect that she was. Still, she must have been doing something right. They always gave her appreciative looks and complimented her latest hair style or outfit. But, last night was the first time she'd seen them physically attracted to her. She blushed at the image displaying in her head and quickly walked to the shower. No need to get herself going when she was about to join them for breakfast.

Mia came out the bedroom 20 minutes later wearing a sleeveless yellow summer dress and yellow sandals. Her hair was curled under and rested on her shoulders.

"Don't we look fetching this morning," Aidan said winking at her. "You look as pretty as a picture."

Mia smiled and glanced at Kale knowing he wouldn't compliment her like Aidan, but the look in his eyes, as he ran them down her body, gave her goose bumps. 'Who says you need words to flatter a person?' Mia thought as she walked into kitchen to get away from his hot stare. She could not believe she had two sexy men in her apartment that had cooked for her. Her job did have its perks at times. They were dressed in jeans and a t-shirt, different clothes than what they had on yesterday. She'd forgotten they kept extra clothes in their rooms. She rarely ever went into the rooms, except when she cleaned. Mia stared down at the plates sat on the kitchen table and smiled. Eggs sunny side up, bacon, sausage and pancakes. Lots of pancakes were stacked high on a plate to themselves and smoked deliciously.

"This looks wonderful guys, thank you so much!" She sat down and smiled at them as they joined her.

"Thank Aidan," Kale said. "I don't cook breakfast. I'm more of the grill type."

"Mmm, I know," Mia said remembering the barbecue ribs Kale had grilled at his house during an outdoors event. "But I have to say, Aidan knows I love breakfast and especially pancakes."

"Dig in," he told her. The small round table was big enough for only three people. The guys sat down and began to eat.

"How are you feeling?" Kale asked analyzing her as if he was searching for signs of a hangover.

"I don't feel that bad actually, just a slight headache, but nothing big," Mia smiled at him as she picked up a piece of bacon and took a bite out of it.

"Good thing he stopped you from drinking the entire bottle at once," Aidan said. "It could have been so much worse."

Mia nodded, "yeah, thanks for that, Kale."

"You want to tell us the reason why you started drinking like a crazy woman in the first place?" Kale asked digging into pancakes.

"Oh come on guys, I'm trying to enjoy my breakfast. Can we talk about something else?" Mia grabbed a glass of orange juice and began to gulp it down.

"She's doing it again," Aidan pointed out as she poured herself another glass.

"At least it's not wine," Kale said.

"Mia, why are you so nervous?" Aidan wanted to know.

Mia finished her juice and let out a loud sigh. "You're determined to talk about this aren't you?"

Both guys nodded at the same time and waited for her to answer.

Mia took her time. She stuck her fork in the pancakes and transferred them to her plate. She buttered them slowly, before pouring syrup on top of them. Then, cut them into small pieces. She took a bite and chewed slowly. "Mmm, this is sooo good."

Kale, who was sitting in front of her, got hard immediately after staring at the rapturous look on her face. Everything she did seemed turn him own lately. His eyes followed her pink tongue as it licked the syrups off her bottom lip. He looked at Aidan to see if he was affected by her innocent display of sensuality. Aidan gaped at her with his mouth slightly opened. Kale reached over and pushed his jaw closed. Any second longer and Aidan would have started drooling. Luckily, Mia didn't see him closing Aidan's mouth; she was too busy cutting up another piece of pancake. Mia was too damn sexy for her own good.

"Are you going to tell us anytime soon?" Kale snapped at her suddenly feeling impatient and restless. It was a good thing she couldn't see under the table.

Mia shot him a dry look. "I just wanted to enjoy my food before I'm forced to talk about the embarrassing event that took place last night."

"What's so embarrassing?" Aidan finally spoke.

"Come on, you know," Mia said blushing deeply. They stared at her expectantly. "Gosh, don't make me say it!" They continued to watch her quietly. "Okay, damn! You guys got hard when you saw me in that dress. It was a little embarrassing; I'm sure it was for you too."

"We weren't embarrassed," Aidan said with a shrug and took a bite out of his sausage.

Mia gave him the strangest look. "How can you eat a sausage link while we're talking about this?"

Aidan blinked and looked down at his plate.

Kale burst out laughing and shook his head. "Mia, you are so funny sometimes."

Mia looked at him in surprise. Seeing Kale laugh was a rare sight. At least, it made her relax with the conversation, just a little. "Well, I was embarrassed."

"Why?" Aidan wanted to know deciding to leave the sausage alone.

"Hello? You're my bosses and my best friends, two reasons why you should not be getting um...excited around me."

"True, we are your bosses and best friends, but we're still men, Mia. How do you expect us to act around a stunningly, sexy, voluptuous woman?"

Mia stared at Aidan in shock. The man had a way with words, she'd give him that. She shook her head and stared at her food. "Stop that..."

"Stop what?" Kale asked.

"Being nice to me, I don't need your pity. I know I'm not as attractive as the other women you date so stop trying to flatter me. I'm not even your type."

"Mia," Aidan snapped at her causing her to jump and look at him. Aidan rarely got angry at her. He was always so laid back and cool. "Are you really that naive or you just won't let yourself believe that we could find you attractive?"

Kale raised his eyebrow and leaned back in his chair as he watched the two. Well this was interesting.

Mia didn't know what to say to that so she said nothing.

"We are discussing the fact that you were so beautiful in that dress last night that you got both of us hard as rocks and then you turn around and say we pity you? My god woman, open your eyes. It wasn't a lie, you saw physical proof last night and if you eat pancakes in front of us like that again, you're going to see more proof in a few minutes!"

Kale grinned. This was getting good.

"Aidan...what's gotten into you?" Mia asked completely shocked and confused.

Kale almost felt sorry for her.

"You, Mia, you've gotten into me and Kale too." Aidan stood up pulling the chair back. He reached out his hand for her. "Come here."

Mia stared at it afraid to take it. Aidan grabbed her arm and gently pulled her up, then dragged her into the living room with him. Kale followed. They stood in front of her towering over her like giants. Mia looked from one serious face to the next.

"What's going on?"

"You're fired," Aidan said.

Kale looked at Aidan in surprise. He wasn't expecting that. Neither was Mia.

Her brown skin paled visibly in front of them. "What? Why?"

"We can't continue to work with you knowing what you do to us. It's gotten out of hand and neither one of us can take it anymore. It would be better if you didn't work with us anymore," Aidan said. He didn't like that he was scaring her, but she had to know. It would be unprofessional and awkward to continue to work with her after he told her what he and Kale wanted from her.

"This wasn't my fault! You sound like you're trying to pin me with sexual harassment. Just like the men I see on the television. A woman wears a sexy dress and her boss gets turned on and makes a pass at her, then he blames the poor woman for his behavior and fires her." Tears sprung to her eyes. "You men are all the same! Bastards!"

Aidan frowned. They obviously weren't going in the same direction with this. "No, Mia, it's nothing like that. My god, what are you thinking? Baby..." He tried to hold her, but she pushed him away.

Kale rolled his eyes. He'd seen enough. The last thing he wanted to see was Mia crying. "Mia," he said in his deep voice that gave her no choice but to look at him.

Mia glared at both of them. She was so hurt; she felt she would pass out. She was foolish to think they were good guys that cared about her. Of course, they didn't care about her; she was, after all, so different from them in every way.

"Mia, we love you."

She stared up at Kale, tears running down her cheeks and wondered if she was losing her mind. Did Kale-of all people-tell her he and Aidan loved her?

"He's right, Mia. We love you so much. We fell in love with you the first day you walked into our office," Aidan said.

Words could not explain what she was feeling right now. She opened her mouth to say something, but found she'd lost her voice.

Aidan took advantage of her shock state to tenderly wipe the tears from her eyes and cheeks. "Stop crying, Mia. You're killing me. I never meant to hurt you with what I said. I was trying to tell you how I felt about you, how we feel about you. It wouldn't be right for you to continue to work for us knowing that. As crazy as it sounds, we do have professional standards to uphold."

"So you fire me because you're in love with me?"

Aidan nodded. "Yes," his fingers rub the side of her face gently as he stared into her eyes.

Mia slapped his hand away. "You're full of crap, both of you. What is this? Some cruel joke you decided to play on me?"

Kale sighed. "She's not handling this well at all."

"You think?" Aidan said dryly.

"Okay, why don't you tell me what's really going on? Just tell me you don't want me to work for you anymore. You're probably tired of everyone staring at you because of me anyway. Did you think hiring a black girl would be something different and exciting? Just tell me the truth."

"Wow, you really have a crazy imagination," Kale said.

"We are telling you the truth, Mia. We're in love with you. We want you to be ours. You don't have to worry about working, unless you want to. We'll take care of you, forever if you let us."

"Take care of me? Oh I get it, you want me to be your lover or something, like a mistress?"

"I thought you had to be married to have a mistress," Kale said in confusion.

"Shut up, Kale. I don't need your comments right now," Aidan snapped at him. He turned to Mia. "We don't want you as our mistress. We want you as our girlfriend, significant other, best friend, yes, lover eventually, and hopefully our wife one day."

Mia took a step back. Whoa. This was too much for her. She sat down on the couch hard. "Let me get this straight," she said looking up at both of them. "You're telling me that you've been in love with me since the day you met me which is, let's see, going on four years now?"

They nodded.

"I find that hard to believe. You've dated so many women. Heck, I've heard you talk about your little sexual trysts when you didn't think I was paying attention. If you wanted me so badly, then why didn't you let me know in the past?"

"Would you have stuck around if we did?" Aidan asked.

Mia sighed, "no, probably not."

"Exactly, you didn't know us that well and we wanted you to know us. We wanted you to be comfortable around us like you are now. We needed to know that you would accept us, not just one of us, but both of us. And you did."

"Yeah, but as friends!" Mia said.

"At the time that was good enough for us," Aidan said.

"Mia, we took things slow with you for a reason. We didn't want to scare you away. Do you think we dated all those women because we were interested? Not really, they were beautiful and interesting sure, but we needed them to take our minds off you at least temporarily. Mia we wanted you so badly and it was the most difficult years we've ever had being around you so much and not being able to touch you or tell you how we feel. "

"So why now?" Mia asked.

"Because we think you might have feelings for us too which gives us some hope that this might work. Are we wrong, Mia? Do you have feelings for us?" Aidan asked softly.

"I...I...I don't know how to answer your question."

"I see," Aidan face dropped.

Mia stared up at both men. At that moment, they looked as if their whole world was about to crumble in front of their eyes. Was she their world?

After awhile, Aidan spoke. "You don't have to answer me. You don't have to do anything you're not ready for. I know this is a lot for you to think about. The decision is in your hands now. We've told you how we feel about you. Nothing will ever change our minds, even if you never want to see us again after today. All I ask is that you give us a chance and let us prove to you how much we love you. We won't try to rush you or force you, we'll take it slow, very slow, but you do have to understand that we are very physically attracted to you and it's been months since we've slept with another woman. In fact, we're not even interested in other women anymore, we only want you, so please don't do anything that would make us do something you're not ready for. Just be aware of how you are around us. You have no idea how sexually appealing you are to us."

Mia stared at them wondering if she was still sleep in bed and dreaming this entire conversation. It would be a cruel fantasy to seem so real. "You both want to be with me, like, at the same time?"

They nodded.

"How is that possible? I mean, wouldn't you get jealous of each other?"

They looked at each other and then back at her. "No, you should know by now we're closer than anybody you've ever met. Mia we both fell in love with you at the same time. We can't deny each other the woman we're in love with," Aidan said.

"So you want to share me?"

"Share you in everything. We already share our lives with you. We only need to share our love with you," Aidan replied.

"So, you two aren't really bisexual are you? I mean have you ever had a threesome?" Mia couldn't believe she was asking that question. This entire conversation was just freaky!

"Hell no," Kale said frowning in disgust. "Mia, you should know Aidan and I aren't like that. He's like a brother to me. And no we've never been with a woman at the same time. This experience is new to us too, but it's what we want, what we need. The idea of having a threesome with any random woman would be disgusting to us, but for you, it's a big turn on and it's what we want, only with you, Mia."

"So, you expect me to be with both of you at the same time...sexually? I don't know if I could do that. I'll admit it's one thing to dream about, but in reality...it's kind of crossing the line."

"It's too soon to talk about those things, Mia. We don't want you to think we can't wait to jump in your pants if that's what you're thinking. As much as we want you, and believe me we do want you in every way possible..."

Mia eyes widen as Aidan stared down at her giving her a look of pure passion and hunger. As he spoke, she felt her body responding to the need she saw in his eyes, in both their eyes...

"We can wait, maybe not too long if you entice us with that beautiful body of yours, but we can wait until you are ready for us. And if that time ever comes, you don't have to be with both of us at the same time. We don't require you have a threesome with us. One of us at a time is enough."

Mia jumped up. "This is so crazy and weird and how could you put me in a situation like this? I mean you know I care about both of you; you're like my best friends, actually even closer than best friends. You guys are always worrying about me and looking out for me and making sure I'm safe and comfortable. What more could a girl like me-who practically has nobody except my girl friends-ask for? I was comfortable with the idea of us just being friends, but to tell you the truth, I often wondered if I ever left this job or you guys sold the company or laid me off, if we'd continue to be friends. I guess I know now..." she gave a sarcastic laugh.

"We're sorry to put you in such a complex situation. We can't help how we feel about you. We've held ourselves back for three long years waiting for a moment to tell you. You had to know some time."

Mia nodded.

"Do you believe us now?" Kale wanted to know.

"My mind is protesting against everything you guys are saying to me, and yet, I believe you are genuine. You have to be. This is too crazy not to be. My friends tried to warn me..."

"Mia, will you give us a chance? You're free to walk away from us whenever you want if it doesn't work out for you."

"The hell she will," Kale glared at Aidan for saying the words. "He's lying you know. He won't let you go, not without a fight. He's just saying that to make you feel comfortable. I sure as hell not going to let you walk away once this gets started, so you better tell us now that you want to actually try this with us or not. If you don't, it will kill us, but we're not going to force you. If you do decide you want to start this "tryout" just be aware that once you start, we may not let you go if you lose your nerves and want to back out. We'll do everything we can to keep you with us, that's legal of course."

"Could you be any more threatening?" Aidan asked him in annoyance.

"She loves us, just as much as we love her, she just has to get use to the idea." Kale said.

"Well that's a really arrogant thing for you to say!" Mia yelled at him angrily.

Kale shrugged nonchalantly. "Women have no idea what they want, you got all these dreams and preconceived ideas of how things suppose to be in that head of yours and that's why you're holding back. I've been around you for three years, Mia. I know you, we both know you, emotionally and mentally at least. Hopefully, we'll get to know you physically very soon."

"That's it!" Mia said walking towards the door. "Out! Both of you!"

"Remind me to beat you when we get home," Aidan growled at Kale. "Mia, take your time, but please do call us and let us know. Don't keep us waiting..."

"Out, out, out!" Mia said holding the door open.

Aidan sighed in defeat, gave her one more hopeful glance and walked out the door. Kale smirked at her on his way out. "We love you too, Mia." He said softly as she slammed the door in their faces.

Mia walked back into the living room and fell on the couch face first. What was she going to do?

"Are you trying to scare off the love of our lives? I swear to you Kale if you've destroyed any chance we have with Mia, I will never forgive you." Aidan argued as they walked to their car.

"I wasn't so sure about how she felt about us either until she made that last speech before she threw us out. Weren't you listening, Aidan? Mia said she sees us closer than best friends and she cares about us. I think she loves us too, she's just doesn't know it."

"I hope you're right," Aidan said. They got into their Porsche Carrera. Aidan glanced up at Mia's apartment before driving away.
