Treasure at Oak Manor - Solution
Treasure at Oak Manor - Solution
It was a woman who found and slipped in the lube. We know it wasn’t Mavis as she found the Prince Albert, thus it must have been Cousin Zinnia. This couldn’t have taken place in the bedroom as that person stole the object, or the cellar as that was the home of the stocks, or the library which was where the portrait was discovered, or in the attic.
Thus, Zinnia found the oil in the bathroom and slipped in it. Luckily, she kept the name of the product in mind and decided to look into finding a supply…just as soon as she found somebody who could explain to her what the ecstatic looking couple in the illustration on the label were doing.
Cousin Tommy ‘wet’ himself when he made his discovery. He wasn’t in the bedroom as he didn’t steal his discovery, nor the bathroom as that is where his sister was having her misadventure. We know he was on the ground floor, so he couldn’t have been in the cellar which is underground, or the attic which is three stories up, so that leaves the library. We know from clue 6 that the portrait was discovered here.
Thus Tommy found the portrait in the library and ‘wet’ himself. It was some time before he confessed to Cuthbert that he had in fact gotten a little over heated at the sight of Albert in his naked, vital glory and had orgasmed on the spot, making rather a mess of his clothes. Happily, he won the argument to have the much desired portrait hung in his bedroom, and privately paid his respects to the memory of his beloved Great Uncle at least once a day.
One person found the stocks in the cellar. This couldn’t have been Mavis as she found the Prince Albert, nor could it have been Cuthbert as he refused to go in the cellar. Thus it was Uncle Hetheridge. He couldn’t have been the person who stole an item from the bedroom, nor could he have fainted, as we know that that was a woman, so he was the person who ran from the house.
Thus Uncle Hetheridge found the stocks in the cellar and ran away in shock.
He soon got over his horror of the situation, but he would never break open a lock again for fear of what he might find, which was just as well given that both his son and daughter would both ask for locks on their bedroom doors shortly after their adventures in Oak Manor.
Aunt Mavis discovered the Prince Albert. We know that a woman fainted, and that it couldn’t have been Zinnia as she slipped, so it must have been Mavis who passed out in a lady-like heap on the floor. This particular floor could not have been in the bedroom, as the person in there stole rather than losing consciousness, and so must have been in the attic.
Thus Aunt Mavis found the Prince Albert in the attic and, upon realising what it was, fainted. It would have been nice if Cuthbert had broken the news to her a little more gently, but only last month she’d revealed to his mother the rumour regarding a recent horse race and how Cuthbert had managed to queer the odds in his favour by a certain tactic which left one of the jockeys with a sore backside. So really, he was simply evening things out.
Finally we can deduct that Cuthbert Rigby himself was the one who discovered the dildo in the bedroom and stole it away, having needed a pillowcase to wrap the massive thing so as to disguise its shape. Though it was a crime, he felt that dear old Great Uncle Albert would be pleased that what was clearly a dear favourite of his would be enjoyed and played with after his passing. And Cuthbert knew all sorts of people who’d be interested in joining him in fondly remembering the old chap.
In brief,
Zinnia, Lube, Bathroom, Slipped over
Tommy, Naked Portrait, Library, ‘Wet’ self
Hetheridge, Stocks, Cellar, Ran
Mavis, Prince Albert, Attic, Fainted
Cuthbert, Dildo, Bedroom, Stole it
Congratulations if you managed to solve it! If not, don't be dissuaded. These puzzles take a little practice. I'll add a new one soon!
