Thunder's Release
The technitian began breaking down the codes in order to get into the machine's deepest secrets. Getting through the red tape was going to take the longest time but soon they would have all of the information that the computer held.
"Might I be so bold to ask what is in this computer that is so important that you would risk a breaking and entering charge, Mr. Devlin?" The technitian asked, "If McKagan did not leave his secrets on his computer at the company, what makes you think they would be here in this one?"
"He knows more about the Galactic Knights than he is letting on Leonard." Devlin said, "For now, the Galactic Knights have yet to be released. When Thor Thunderis used the last of his power and strength to send his people to safety, in four ornately designed chests, he placed everything he knew they would need and sent them here. He also had the Universal crystals of power, the weapons, battle armor, and history of the Galaxian Alliance added as well. It was said that whoever was able to harness the powers in those chests would be totally unstoppable."
"We have broken the codes and are beginning the downloads." Leonard announced, "We will have the information that this computer has stored momentarily."
Jamie was having a tough time in her sleep which was filled with a series of nightmares that woke her up instantly. Physically as well as mentally exhausted, she wished that she could get a full night's sleep without all of the nightmares. Stretching, she got up and padded barefoot into the kitchen to find something to help her sleep. When she got there, she found that she was not the only one who could not sleep. Hazel, the housekeeper and the rest of the adopted siblings were having the same problem.
"I had a nightmare, Hazel." Jamie said, "I keep having the same nightmare and it will not let me sleep. These nightmares are draining my energy. If I can not get a full night's sleep, I can not get through the day without a fight."
"Well let us see what we can do about that shall we?" Hazel replied, "This tea I just made is a natural and safe sleep aid. This will also help keep the bad dreams away for good."
Jamie found out just how right Hazel was. With just a few small sips, the tea was beginning to make her drousy just as it was her brothers and sisters. She knew that her parents would be home soon and they needed to get back to bed. She thanked Hazel for the tea and the kids drousily made their way back upstairs to their rooms. Walking up to the second floor, Leslie spotted a light on underneath the door of Robert's study. That was odd since Robert and Veronica were out for the evening. So who was in Robert's study and why. The door was open just enough for her to peek in but she noticed that none of the men were Robert.
"Jamie, Randall, there is a group of intruders in your father's study." Leslie hissed, "They seem to be breaking into his computer. We have to stop them before they rob your family blind."
"That is not the worst of it." Garrett whispered, "The security system on this side has been cut off and I do not know where the other one is in order to set it off and alert the police."
"It is inthe rec room on the back wall." Jamie said, "Brian, you and Lita tell Hazel what has happened. Kaitlan, you and Derek set off the alarm, the rest of us will distract the intruders. Now go."
"Do you know that the mansion's second alarm has been made active?" Leonard asked, "It has been activated on the far side of the estate. Someone knows that we are here, so we have to act fast and get out of here."
"You have got that right Bozo." Jamie snapped, "You are on private property. I say you leave now. Leave whatever you are doing and get out now before we make you wish you had never shown up."
"You just made a huge mistake sticking your nose in where it does not belong little girl." Devlin growled, "Boys, do away with this intruder and her friends. Show them it is not nice to sneak up on people when they are busy working."
Jamie and the kids scattered each taking on a different intruder. Jamie found herself stuck in a corner, so she let out a blood curtling scream. Tristan knew that Jamie McKagan fit into the equation somewhere along the lines, but where was a different story. He was still musing about his situation when he saw a white beam of light shoot up from the house. Then he heard it, the scream of one of the girls scared. Jamie! Tristan saw the lightning beam and raced full throttle to the ranch style house. The whole inside was completely engulfed in flames. He heard Jamie scream again and found that it was coming from Robert's study. He raced to the room, but was stopped short and thrown back from the force of a massive explosion knocking him back against the railing, knocking the wind from his lungs and to the floor semi-conscious. Jamie's screams forced him to move, but the smoke was severely thick and suffocating as well as blinding. He had to get up, his young charge would not survive without him. Tristan struggled to his feet and was hit by a serious pain. Suddenly he was enveloped by a rainbow array of colors. After the colors disapated, he was amazed at what he saw. He wore the pitch black, gold-lined, low-cut, pointed shouldered uniform of Knight Wolf, royal blue up-to-the-knees boots, blue gauntlets and a black and silver wolf shaped mask. Knight Wolf knew that Cordonis and Andrew had already taken out Jamie's brother and the other kids. The flames were all that stood between himself and Jamie. Thinking fast, he grabbed a nearby fire exstinguisher and sprayed the flames. The attack caused a break in the flames long enough for him to break through and get to Jamie. Jamie screamed upon seeing this new stranger setting off a new series of lightning strikes. He grabbed her up and jumped out of the house through the side doors to safety. Her trusting him showed him they were meant to be together no matter what happened.
"Do not be afraid, I am here to help you." he whispered, "Do not worry, Princess, you are safe now. I am here as your guardian and your protector. The rest will be revealed in time, but for now you need to sleep. Your parents will be coming for you soon. Do not worry, I will always be here if and when you will need me."
She slowly fell asleep as Randall and the other kids joined her and Tristan. They looked none the worse for wear but were all lucky they all got out alive. What caused it all remained to be seen. They were soon joined by Andrew, the McKagans, and the Llewellyns. The looks of relief on their faces was a very welcome sight. The fire cheif and police officer made him wonder.
"It looks like everyone is alright." Lieutenant Collins said, "What happened to cause all of this? Where was everyone when all of this was happening?"
"My husband and I were out for the evening with our new neighbors, the Llewellyns." Veronica replied, "Andrew, Hazel and Roger were here with the children."
"I was down at the stable when I heard Jamie scream." Tristan explained, "By the time I got to the house, it was engulfed in flames. I found Jamie in the study upstairs."
"What in the world was she doing in there in the first place?" Veronica demanded, ""I do not even go up in there unless Robert is in there working."
"We were all there Mom." Randall said, "It was Leslie that discovered the intruders in the study. They were on dad's computer looking for something because they were saving them on some disks."
"When they spotted us we fought against them but it was Jamie who eventually stopped them when she screamed." Leslie added, "A white beam shot out from her and attacked the electronic stuff and their disks as well as them."
"Until we get to the bottom of this and the house can be rebuilt," Robert said, "we have a suite that we can stay in until this thing is resolved."
John Devlin furiously threw a vase at a nearby wall causing it to shatter into a million pieces. If it had not been for the timing of Robert's kids, he would have had all of Robert's programs from his computer including all of his secret projects. Leonard ignored his employer as he ranted and raved. He was focusing more on the kids and the display of the power they held.
"Did you see the power that came from those kids?" Leonard asked, "The energy they were emitting was completely off the scale. Their power strength came from their emotions."
"What in the world are you rambling on about, Leonard?" Devlin snapped, "You have not been making sense at all since we managed to escape from ThunderStar Estate. Now what are you going on about?"
"The McKagan twins and those other kids have special powers and abilities." Leonard explained, "Mr. Devlin, we all saw that ourselves. If we could find a way to gain control of her, then we could harness her poewrs for our own personal gain. What do you think?"
Devlin paced the floor as if contemplating his partner's ideas and thoughts. If there was a chance to capture Robert's daughter and exploit her and her powers for their own purposes, no one would stand a chance against them nor would they be able to stop them. But as long as she was well guarded and protected there would be no chance to capture the girl.
"Alright, I want you to keep Robert and his family under tight surveilance." Devlin ordered, "There will soon be a chance to capture her and use her for our own desires and purposes. She can not be shielded and protected forever. If she is the child of Thor's prophecy, then I know she must be turned before her powers reach their full strength."
"We will send some of our people into their ranks." Leonard suggested, "Someone is bound to find an opening in order to capture the girl then we will have the power to destroy your enemies once and for all."
"You do what you can on this end." Devlin said, "I believe this mission has just taken a very dramatic turn. I will relay this report to our client. In the meantime, look for an opening to capture that girl." Devlin left the living room and walked into a secret passage behind his bedroom's fireplace. He followed it for three full corridors then stopped in a room off to his left. In the heart of the room was a shrine, altar, and foul smells. Two shadowed figures appeared before him but remained hidden. "I have some good news King Primas." Devlin said, "I believe we have found the child that you and Lady Shadra have been looking for all of these years. My men and I came by her while hunted for the information you were looking for."
"Are you certain that she is the child of Thor's prophecy?" Shadra demanded, "How can you be certain that she is the child of Thor's prophecy and not just someone pretending to be her?"
"I have seen her powers in action my Empress, she is the real deal." Devlin replied, "To prove I am telling the truth on the matter, I will have her captured before the day is out and brought to you."
