chapter 3
“Do you want to go the short cut?” asked Mark, while he pulled the shivering form which was Sylvia closer.
“Yeah sure,” Sylvia answered, unaware of the look of hunger and lust that Mark was giving her.
“Down here then.” He barely whispered, leading her down a deserted alley way shrouded in shadows.
As they travelled down the alley, the air stilled as if knowing something was about to happen. The shadows closed in around the pair, evading the moons light as the clouds shifted across the sky.
“Mark, I’m scared,” whispered Sylvia, unconsciously moving closer to Mark.
“There’s nothing to be afraid about,” he purred pulling Sylvia’s small shivering warm form closer to his.
The clouds were now fully blocking the moon’s light covering the alleyway in a shadowy blanket; Sylvia couldn’t see the monstrous transformation taking place within Mark. His eyes flashed blood red, his incisors lengthened till they lay over his bottom lip. With a barely audible growl Mark slammed Sylvia against the wall, drawing a gasp of pain with was quickly smothered with his lips as they leaned in for a passionate kiss. Slowly Mark started moving gentle kisses down the side of the face till he reached her neck. Her heart was pounding in fear and lust, Mark couldn’t stop himself as he listened to her heart beat, beating her life blood through her. He tore into her jugular, sucking away her life’s blood. So tightly was he holding onto Sylvia that her tender skin was beginning to bruise. Mark drank from Sylvia till her gasps of pain were barely audible, her heart barely beat. He released her and watched her sink to the ground with a soft thud.
As Sylvia felt herself being lifted up, a wet substance entered her mouth. She vaguely realised that it was Marks blood. She would have thought more of that if it wasn’t for her clouding and dimming vision or the cold numbness that was spreading through her body. Her last thought before it all went dark was “it was all Tanya’s fault but I do hope she’s ok.”
Mark moved away into the darkness going to find James and see if he had yet disposed of his girl or had forced her to join with them as he had done with the dying beauty he had left behind.
He would come back for his beauty in a month’s time as the new moon rose and help her adjust to her new unlife.
Just then the cloud drifted past the moon so light could descend upon the alley, in time to see a figure wrapped in shadow disappear into darkness. Leaving behind the corpse which stared out into nothingness, in shock and pain.
The end for now at least.
