Entrapment

Co-written with Aya Frost

Ruka silently watched Suke go back into the club, clutching his jacket. Had he done something wrong? He knew kissing between strangers wasn't a normal thing but he had thought there was a mutual attraction. He realized that he still didn’t know his prince’s name. It made his chest kind of hurt and he pulled his jacket on smelling a soft fragrance that wasn't his own. A smile played on his lips. It belonged to his Ouji-sama.

Licking his lips he decided he would just watch him from a distance and see what happened. He wanted to be closer to the dark haired stranger even if the other seemed to not want it. It was a challenge for Ruka and he was up to it.

Daisuike ordered himself another rum and coke. Closing his eyes for a moment he leaned his head on one hand. How had things gotten so confusing so quickly? He'd never thought he would find himself attracted to another man. An absolutely gorgeous man, who made him feel weak and powerless. What was wrong with him? Letting some guy feel him up and kiss him like that. Was he really that desperate?

“Hi there.”

Daisuike looked up eyes narrowing as he took in the too pretty face of a blonde woman as she smiled at him. He inclined his head slightly and turned to face the bar. He didn’t mind foreigners, but American’s tended to be a bit too forward. Though after Ruka he didn’t think he’d ever think of anyone else as being forward again. He shivered lightly those jade eyes suddenly appearing before him again. He wondered if the man had come in. It didn’t bear thinking about. He’d probably already found someone else to hit on anyway. That thought caused the strangest ache in his chest and he took another drink hoping to drown it.

“Would you care if I join you?”

Daisuike almost rolled his eyes and with a sigh inclined his head. “Be my guest.”

Ruka glared watching a blond foreign bimbo walk over to his Ouji-sama. Irritated he walked closer then stopped, just waiting. If she pulled any moves, he'd reclaim what was his. Even from here he could see the tension in Ouji-sama’s shoulders and the way he leaned away from the woman. She was pretty in a slightly over done way.

Ruka moved a little closer keeping out of their line of sight, part of him wondering why he was doing it. The guy had pretty much rejected him, yet there had also been an undeniable mutual attraction. Ruka was too good at spotting it to have mistaken it. You don’t hook up with as many people as he had and not learn a thing or three about body language. No matter what his Ouji-sama had said his body had spoken volumes and right now it was telling Ruka that he was uncomfortable around the woman.
She cocked her head to the side looking at him. Setting her drink down, she moved closer. Daisuike leaned away irritated that she wasn’t getting the hint.

"You want to go dance?" She raised an eye brow at him one hand coming to rest on his thigh.

Daisuike frowned, not liking how she was touching him and acutely aware of the fact that she didn't even begin to make him feel like Ruka had. There was no tingle, just the desire for her to remove her hand and leave. What was so different about the two? The woman was pretty, but she lacked the charisma Ruka had exuded, that inner fire that had seemed to envelop and consume him from the first moment he met that intense gaze. He looked at her meeting the pale blue. Nope. Nothing. Not even a flicker.

He looked back down at his drink and downed the last of it, missing the smirk that crossed the woman’s face.

“So are you going to come dance with me or am I wasting my breath?”

Daisuike didn’t get a chance to reply feeling someone brush past him to lean on the bar next to him.

"Oi. You left before we could finish our conversation." Looking at the woman Ruka frowned as he realized where her hand was.
"Personal space much?"

Daisuike whipped around staring at Ruka for a moment before looking down at the bar. He was shocked that Ruka was back so soon and it threw him off a bit. "Ano . . . I'm sorry."

"Ne, Ouji-sama, let's go dance. You owe me for walking off like that and I also charge for borrowing my jacket. So I say . . . three dances." A whimsical smile played on his lips as he looked down at the blushing man. He spared a glance for the woman. "I dare say I'd be better company. And better looking."

The woman huffed her cheeks reddening. “You arrogant bastard-“

“You might as well go, I wasn’t going to dance with you anyway.” Daisuike didn’t look up from his glass.

She said something in English that he didn’t catch and stormed off shoving Ruka as she went by. Daisuike glanced up hearing the soft chuckle above him. It was dangerous to look at him for too long and he glanced around for the bar tender signaling him for another drink. He really didn’t know what he was going to do. He was glad to be rid of the woman but didn’t know what to do about Ruka. Three dances, roughly fifteen minutes. He could handle that right? He looked at the glass as the bar tender set it down in front of him. He went to reach for it when a hand stopped him and he turned to look at Ruka. Everything else suddenly seemed distant, the noise, the heat, the press of people, nothing existed except the man before him. Before he even realized it he was up off his bar stool and following Ruka.

Ruka smiled as he moved to the dance floor with Suke. It was nice to be dancing with him again and it made him happy. Really really happy. Wrapping his arm around his waist again he grinned. A flash of platinum blonde caught his eye and he realized the woman was watching them. Well there were a lot of people watching them, but not quite with that intensity or latently hostile expression. Shaking it off, he turned his attention to the man in his arms. It amused Ruka how he would glance up at him and blush.

"Ne, you don't seem thrilled to be here. How about coming with me? I know a better club. A bit more upscale and with better music." He couldn’t stop smiling as he watched his pretty prince struggling to remain unaffected by his nearness. "And they make better rum and cokes."

He really wanted to leave and get away from that woman. The way she was watching them was making him nervous and he didn't like it at all. Foreigners bothered him a bit, especially suspicious ones like her.

Daisuike was going to reply when everything seemed to fade out for a moment, the noises distorting and the room seeming to spin. He stumbled reaching out to try and catch himself. Panic blossomed in him. What was wrong? He'd only had two drinks, they shouldn't already be affecting him.

Instantly Ruka grabbed him back holding him upright.

"Ouji-sama? Hey! What's wrong?" Fear rose in him as there wasn’t a response. Taking the now limp man and moving him to a booth yelling at the people closest to move. They instantly moved back with startled exclamations. When he was angry he was scary and right now he was scared and angry. Not a good combination.

Sitting down, Ruka touched his face trying to get some kind of response, "Hey- Hey what's wrong? Answer me! Please?" Panic was setting in and Ruka was scared. Had he drank too much? But it wouldn't suddenly hit him so hard. Not with just him sipping at the rum and coke.

Daisuike blinked slowly trying to focus on the face above him. He felt trapped in his own body, unable to move, unable to speak. Another face appeared beside the first one and he frowned trying to get himself together. Just when he thought he was going to be able to shake it off he would feel it come back over him.

“Maybe you should let me look at him, I’m a nurse.”

Anger surged through Ruka seeing the woman again. Something seemed off. He staggered back as she shoved at him trying to get to his Ouji-sama. He saw something in her hand and his eyes widened. What the fuck was she doing with a syringe? He was moving before he even realized it.

"Fucking bitch! You’re drugging him!?" He grabbed her shoving her against the nearest table the syringe going flying. She gasped and lashed out at him. He slammed her back. He knew he was causing a scene and he meant to. He'd get the whole club involved if he had to. He could hear a commotion behind them, the rough voices of bouncers ordering people out of the way.

"What the hell is going on here?"

"This bitch's drugged him!”

"Get him to a clinic. We’ll take care of her"

Ruka nodded panic driving him to move quickly. He was glad he had kept an eye out for the man. He looked down his heart thumping loudly in his chest, those mesmerizing eyes were half closed his body slack against Ruka’s.

"Hey, it's okay. We'll get you to a hospital. You'll be fine." He hoped to god he was or that woman was dead.

Daisuike felt horribly ill. He couldn't stop the soft moan as they put him in the cab. He didn't understand what was going on. Why would that woman drug him? It didn't make any sense. Actually nothing was making sense at the moment. He was doing his best to try and keep the panic down. He could hear yelling but then the door shut cutting off the voice. He lay over needed something warm to keep the chills away.

Ruka was panicking all the way to the clinic, going through Suke's phone as he held him close. It scared him to no end that the person in his arms was just drugged. He thanked whatever god was out there for having him meet the beautiful man in his arms. Who knew what that bitch had planned on doing to him?

Now that he was in his arms he wasn't letting him go.

Reagan was shaking she was so mad. Her cover had been totally blown by that okama and now two full weeks of work was down the drain.

"Damn it all to fucking hell! Why didn't the profilers pick up on that? Two whole weeks and for shit! I won't be able to get close to him again. This is going to blow the whole operation. Did anyone say anything about him meeting with a blond guy?"

"No. We'll figure something out. He was just the most obvious way to get the information we needed." Chad glared at her for a moment before stubbing out his cigarette in the ash tray. “I’ll find him again. We tried your way, now we’ll do it my way.

“Fine, I don’t fucking care anymore. The lieutenant is going to have my ass if this operation is blown.” Reagan slammed her fist against the console cracking it. "God damn it! Who the fuck was that guy anyway?"

Ruka was panicked and unable to figure out who the hell these people were. Were they close friend? Acquaintance? Family? Business? It took him a while but he finally figuring out Suke's system, but he still wasn't sure who to call and finally picked a random name.

He just hoped this Jiro person could tell him who he needed to contact to let Suke's family know what was going on.

Jiro yawned deciding it was time to go to bed, he was tired and there was no reason to wait up for Daisuike and Haru wouldn't be home till morning anyway, Akira would be home in another hour or so from practice. Getting up he pulled back the curtain slightly. He shook his head. The car had been gone for hours. Maybe they were finally giving up.

He glanced over has his phone rang. Picking it up he frowned slightly. Why would Daisuike be calling him now? He shrugged, maybe he gotten bored with the clubs or something.

"Moshi moshi, what's going on Suke?"

"Ano- Actually it's not Suke-" Ruka looked down. So that was his name. Seeing Suke's eyes closed alarmed him, shifting the phone away he shook him, "Hey! Don't you dare go to sleep! Wake up!"

Putting the phone back to his ear still shaking Suke, he spoke to Jiro trying to keep from sounding as panicked as he was.

"S- Sorry, Ano. . . I know this sounds really odd but do you know what Suke's family member’s names are? I- I need to call them, something happened to Suke. I'm taking him to the clinic right now but I need to let them know."

Ruka bit his lip finally smacking Suke on the leg trying to get him to wake up. He didn't know what would happen if he fell asleep and it scared him.

Daisuike shuddered the smack on his leg startling him. He was starting to feel less sluggish and sicker. It almost felt as though he'd drank too much too fast, but he knew that couldn't be the case. What the hell had happened? Everything was a blur of lights and sound and nothing was making sense. He opened his eyes slowly hearing Ruka talking.

He shifted around slightly leaning his head on Ruka's chest. Hearing the soft steady heartbeat was comforting for some reason and he felt his eyes closing again. He just needed to sleep this off and he'd be alright.

Jiro's grip on the phone tightened as he listened to the man on the other end. "I'm his brother. Who is this? Where is Daisuike? What's going on?"

He was already gathering up his wallet making sure he had plenty of cash just in case. He had a sick feeling as he tried to keep the panic down. What could have possibly happened to Daisuike? Had he got into a fight? That didn't seem likely, Daisuike wasn't the rash, hot-tempered type.

"A-Ano. . . I'm Ruka, he is with me and-" Ruka swallowed the lump in his throat. "Suke- he. . . Someone drugged him I think, and then- I dunno he started acting funny when we were dancing and then collapsed and she ran over and-" Ruka had to calm himself, he was speaking a mile a minute and Jiro probably couldn't understand him.

"S-Sorry, let me try and start again, I'm sorry- I . . . I'm just-"

"Ruka, is it? Just get him to a hospital."

"Already on my way."

"Which one?"

"Junko."

"I’ll be there in 10."

Jiro started the car and tried to keep his mind on driving and not on the fact that his brother had been drugged.

"I'm going to kill whoever is responsible for this." He wove the car through traffic not caring that he was speeding.

He sighed again seeing the sign for the hospital up ahead. He couldn't help but feel bad for Daisuike. He'd been in a much better mood lately and for this to happen . . . Jiro didn't know how he was going to take it. He probably would just throw himself back into work like he normally did. That wasn’t going to solve anything though. As good as Daisuike was at what he did, Jiro knew that he really didn’t care from being part of the clan. He’d just felt it was the only option he had. Jiro wished now he would have told him no. A fifteen year old has no business making a decision like that. He simply had not been aware of the ramifications of such a commitment. But that had been three years ago. Daisuike was eighteen now and was one of his best enforcers. If his looks didn’t get people to pay up his fists worked, it was only a rare few that ever got to experience Suke’s knives.

Jiro shivered as he parked. He’d made the mistake of watching Daisuike work one time. It had been creepy as hell to have the techno music blaring in the back ground while his younger brother had systematically tortured the man. Once word had gotten out about what Daisuike would do to you if you didn’t pay, no one had any problem coming up with the money. Just the mention of Suke’s name was enough to get late shop owners scrambling to pay. Jiro wasn’t really sure how he felt about Daisuike’s reputation. It was good for the clan, but he wondered how it affected Suke.

Shaking his head he got out and headed inside. He just hoped that someone hadn’t tried to poison him. There had been plenty of death threats already, but no one really wanted to start another gang war.
