Itching for a fight
My apologies on this chapter being short and probably not too well written, I was totally hammered when I wrote this. It's really just a set up for the next chapter which I'll have up tomorrow at some point. Enjoy and please review. For those that have, thank you.

Chapter 3: Itching for a fight
---------------------------------
Nate’s POV
Saturday! At long last it was finally Saturday. It couldn’t have take longer for the tough guy tournament to big. Em was absolutely dying and so was I. I would finally get a chance to beat the living piss out of those TKE bastards. And to make it even better, it was a one on one fight until either a knock out or submission was scored. No points, no judging, no bullshit. Knock out or tap out, that was it. I was smiling in my head thinking about the ways I would get revenge for my oh so unfortunate and inopportune trip to the hospital. I was sitting in silence on the couch watching Em pace back and forth, getting himself pumped up.
“It’s 8 o’clock big guy. Are you ready?” I asked knowing very well what the answer would be. He shot me this ominous glare like a caged animal ready to run wild.
“If by ready you mean ready to unleash the wrath of 800 years of Slaithen fury on the poor fools of this land, then yes. I’m as ready as ever!” His voice was menacing. Unlike the usual loving, caring, and ultra protective brother I had always known, he was a different person right now. “Get your coat kid, it’s fight time and I’m ready to put a hurtin’ on someone.”
I could only think about what would happen if we had to fight tonight. I hoped it would never happen because I couldn’t stand to fight my own flesh and blood. The only person that had ever truly cared for me, standing opposite form me in the cage. It was a nightmare I hoped to never live through. “What would happen if…” I tried but he cut me off before I could finish.
“Don’t worry about it. It won’t happen like that.” He reassured me but I still had my doubts,
Liz had stayed home. She never like to watch Emelious fight, as I had found out, he was not the same person. She was so caring towards me, as if I were her little brother and couldn’t stand to see me get hurt. Or even worse, to see what type of monster I was when I let my natural being loose. I was sorry that my brother had to see this tonight but he understood this world of violence and carnage.
It took us 25 minutes before we got to the storm drain were the entrance lie. We walked through the damp passage before it reopened into the arena that was our destination. The beats were thumping and the sound of flesh colliding against flesh was so unnerving, yet so comforting at the same time. I looked at my brother and he returned the gaze before he spoke.
“We are Rush, but remember, we are still Slaiths. An 800 year old bloodline of demons. Half man, and half beast, it is only in our blood to dominate and decimate everything thrown in our path.” He was looking straight ahead at the cage that was soon to be my proving ground. I looked around and saw the TKE boys sitting there. When they saw us, I honestly thought I saw one of them throw up. A look of pure terror struck across their face when they realized that I was here to play ball. Either that or the colossus that is my brother scared them half to death. Too bad it was me they really had to worry about. I was so lost in thought that I barely felt Emelious tap my arm.
“Look at the matches for the first round.” He said with complete dismay in his voice. I wasn’t sure why he was so distraught but when I saw the match up board I saw the bad news.
“E. Rush vs. N. Rush? You cannot be serious! What the fuck are we going to do?” I almost fell to my knees in shock. But I saw a smile on his face when he said, “don’t worry, I know what to do with a little punk like you.” I was shocked. Did he really plan to do this? Was he really planning on taking me on even though I had such a score to settle? He knew what I thought about him fighting my battles for me but before I had time to talk sense into him, we were due up.
“Em, don’t do this. I seriously don’t need…..” I tried to reason with him as we stepped through the cage door but as soon as the bell rang I knew there was no point.
“Watch this little bro, here’s something I never taught you and never want to see you do again in your life.” He smiled as he kneeled down and tapped the mat. I was dumbfounded as the referee called the match in my favor.
“You just tapped?!? What the fuck are you doing you dumb shit! I was supposed to fight you, you stupid prick!” I was barking at him full force and before I knew it a large hand had covered my mouth and pinned me to the wall. I tried to fight him off but he was too big and too strong.
“This is your fight Nate. You fight it.” He said in a perfectly level tone. I was still in shock when he wrapped and arm around me and led me out. The crowd was booing loudly but I understood why he had done this. He had nothing to prove and I had everything to gain. I was out for revenge and he felt that very clearly, I would get it. He whispered into my ear, “don’t let that loss go to waste. It’s only my third loss and first by submission so make me proud.”
I stood there still shocked but a smile crossed my face when I realized he had given me exactly what I wanted. A clear cut chance to take out the entire TKE house. Oh god would this be sweet! First up, Rush vs. Tony. Batter up mother fucker, because the new slugging sensation is in town. Emelious just looked at me and smiled. “Go get ‘em, and make him regret he ever crossed your path.”
