Chapter 3
“Miyu it’s time to wake up now.”
She was all dressed in white. This room was so bright that Miyu could not keep her eyes open.
“Who are you?”
A figure in red came and kneeled down before her, whispering in her ear “I am you.”
Miyu looked again and saw a different woman standing in front of her. A woman who looked like her but different in every way, “I am Nyth and I am also what you lose in battle.”
“No, I am Miyu,” Miyu told her, pointing to herself, “How can you be me?”
Nyth continue to walk around her retorted, “Easy you were hit from behind as you flew back home by an opposing officer.”
She walked around Miyu, looking back at the girl who was crying. Still, she continued, “You fell from the sky, landing so hard that if you had been human there was only a snowball’s chance in hell you would still be alive.”
Miyu could not understand her world, her happy ending would never be. Now in this room of white walked a wolf dressed in red telling her about her life, what happened to her parents, to her friends, and to herself.
“I DON’T BELIVE YOU!!!”
Nyth stopped in her ramble about Miyu or herself. Her voice was soft, “Miyu…Miyu I know this must be hard for you to understand right now, but this life is not you.”
Kneeling once more taking her face in her hands, she said, “I am so, so sorry that this had to happen, but if you don’t remember who you are then Latif and Mrs. Sasa could be in danger. Don’t you understand?”
Miyu was still crying but began to listen more closely to what Nyth was talking about, “You are a warrior of the eastern skies.”
“East...ern skies?”
“Yes. this territory is our mother’s, and ever since we have been gone the great lakes have dried up, the indigo skies have grayed,” Nyth looked her in the eye, “I know what you are thinking. Why would our mother let this happen? When you are lost our home is lost, when you are not home, then mother is not happy and our lands began to die.”
Miyu’s eye where wide with fear and sadness. Backing away from Nyth to a corner, she thought about what was said. She didn’t even notice that Nyth had stood up.
“Miyu,” she looked to Nyth who was walking over to her. The young woman was wearing shoes that laced up to her calves, moving up her right leg was a band with a single chain link dangling on the side. A long loin cloth hung low on her hips. As she moved slowly towards her Miyu took in as much detail as she could. Her top started between her naval and breasts and was wrapped around her back leaving her arms free. It tied at the top. Her wrists had what seem like leather cuffs. Her left arm had the same band as her left leg. As she moved ever so closer to her she noticed that she had the same choker as Miyu herself; black with two green leaves. Her eye were black as coal, her hair was short and feathery.
“Miyu because I know how hard this is for you, I will hold off unlocking all your memories for now. If anything happens I will show up again, but when that happens I will take total control of your body and mind. Will we return to being just Miyu after? Hopefully yes; what I want is to be whole again, not just two halves.”
Miyu could not help but feel a bit uneasy about the whole thing.
