Jason sighed as he kissed his boyfriend Austin, both of them curled up in the back of his pale yellow Hearse. He rolled on top of Austin, pinning his boyfriend to the quilt spread out beneath them. He grumbled in frustration as Austin pushed him away and sat up, giving him an annoyed look.
“What’s wrong babe,” he grumbled, leaning close to kiss Austin’s neck. “Come on this is like the first time we’re able to be together in days.”
“Why do we have to do it here,” Austin said, avoiding him and scooting away.
“You don’t like my car?”
“It’s fine but we always do it here. I want to do it in a bed for once.”
“Then let’s go to your place.”
Austin rolled his eyes at him and Jason slapped his forehead at his lack of tact. “Right, sorry babe,” he said, turning his puppy dog eyes on his glaring boyfriend. “We can’t go to your place because of your folks.”
Austin continued to glare at him before grabbing his discarded shirt and slipping it on. He huffed and climbed from the back of the car and plopping his lithe body in the passenger seat.
“Let’s go to your house.”
“WHAT,” Jason cried, struggling to get his own shirt on and falling into the driver’s seat.
“You heard me. I know your parents don’t have a problem with us.”
“But…”
“You always say we can’t go to your house but I don’t see what the problem is.”
“But…”
“We either go there or I’m getting out of this car.”
Jason locked eyes with his determined boyfriend, feeling his resolve waver. He sighed, grabbing his keys from the ashtray and turning on the car. He turned and wrapped an arm around Austin’s neck and pulling his boyfriend into a sweet kiss.
“You’ll love me no matter what, right?”
“Of course Jason. Why are you–“
“Okay let’s go.”
Jason said no more and drove away from the parking lot, driving in silence to his home where none of his friends had ever been to in his long eighteen years. He pulled into the driveway, parking and turning off the car.
“Jason…why are we here,” Austin asked, confused, turning curious eye on him.
He didn’t reply, just getting out of the car and walking up the main path of the large house. He opened the front door, stepping aside to let his wide eyed boyfriend into the huge foyer. He closed the door and walked further in. To the left of them a set of oak doors, which were shut and on the right was a large staircase.
The doors to the left opened and a man in a black suit slipped out and with the door open even for that short amount of time Jason knew Austin had seen exactly what was going on in his house.
“Hey Jason,” the man said, walking up to them. “I wasn’t expecting you until later. Oh hello Austin. Good to see you again.”
“Hey dad. How’s it going?”
“The usual, nothing out of the ordinary. Are you two heading upstairs?”
“Yeah.”
“Well have fun. I have to get back now.”
Jason watched his father walk away and go back into the room. He sighed quietly, reaching out and grabbing a stunned Austin’s hand and leading him upstairs. At the top of the stairs they came to another door which opened up to an entirely separate apartment on the top floor. Jason dragged Austin in, weaving through the rooms, waving at his mother in the kitchen. He got to his room and brought Austin into the modest space, collapsing on the closed door.
“So you live in a…”
“Yeah I do. Now you know why it took you so long to get to me Austin. I’ve always seen the painful end of relationships that I’ve never believed in the happily ever after people talk about. I mean you’ve changed me babe…but I never wanted to see this part of my life.”
“That’s so sweet.”
Jason turned and he was swept up in one of Austin’s sweet kisses.
“You don’t mind,” he whispered against Austin’s puckered lips.
Austin shook his head, chuckling quietly. “Not at all. You’re so cute, thinking it would bother me. I think it just makes you more interesting.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah. Though I am surprised. I never expected you grew up in a Funeral Home.”
“So you’re okay with making love in such a sad place?”
“Yes. This place could use some more happy endings,” Austin said smiling, pulling Jason down for another passionate kiss. Jason couldn’t agree more.

AN: Okay total inspiration for this came from HBO's “Six Feet Under,” I just utterly adored that show. May or may not expand this one.
