Start of a Fallen Love

Here\'s the third chapter...a little short I know...but already working on the fourth...shouldn\'t be too long...Please review! Enjoy!

Chapter 3



Waking up, hearing the birds sing to me, and the sun shining through the tent…slowly making me wince because of its brightness. I looked around, not feeling the warmth I had felt when I fell asleep last night…looked outside to see that Loki was nowhere to be found. I then decided that she had hiked down to the small lake I had told her about…and got up to do the same. Grabbing my shampoo and extra clothes, putting them in my small pack as I began to hike to the lake...looking to be clean, cause my body felt gross and disgusting. As I came up on the lake, I saw Loki bathing and swimming…absolutely enjoying herself. Beautiful as she was, she was even more beautiful with the sun bouncing off the water and reflecting upon her tanned skin and her beautiful chocolate brown eyes which lit up with happiness when she saw me. Seeing that I had my pack to bathe and get clean, she got a smile on her face to make me think that she was up to something…and I was right. As I undressed and tossed off my boots, I suddenly felt hands around my body…quickly pulling me to the water’s edge and hearing her whisper “Gotcha” as she suddenly threw me into the water, drenching me and my clothes…glad I had taken my boots off. I came up, my hair now soaking wet and dripping straight over my face, seeing Loki standing in front of me smiling. I smiled back as I flung my hair back, whipping water into her face, making her laugh…and me crashing down again in a fit of giggles as she pushed me back.



“How dare you…that wasn’t funny…” She said…though she was laughing as she grabbed my head and dunked me under the water…waiting for her to do it again…I dived down causing her to drop suddenly and splash into the water face first. As I came up for air about 25 feet away from her…I was laughing my head off and stuck my tongue out at her, as I saw her face go from fun to serious. I looked behind me to where her eyes were staring, and I saw a huge snake in the water…quickly closing in on me. I stood still…ready to grab it and throw it as far away as I could and make my getaway. It neared me, 10 feet, 8 feet, 5 feet, 2 feet…and then turning to look at me, sticking its head up…I quickly grabbed it behind its head…throwing it 20 feet away from me…and then swimming towards the shore. “See…I told you it was dangerous out here…make sure to check your clothes carefully before grabbing them…” I said seriously, never wanting Loki to get hurt. “Okay…will do…so how bout you shed the rest of those clothes and take a bath?? You reek…” She said…very seriously I might add…even though I knew she was right. I quickly took off my clothes and hung them up to dry…hanging my bag up next to them, grabbing my shampoo out and heading towards the water…body soaking up the warmth of the sun. I surfaced right about where Loki was, smiling as I splashed her in the face.



“Swim with me, I want to show you a place…but we have to swim there…” I said as I began to swim, seeing Loki follow me. As we swam through a part in the cliffs, finally arriving to a waterfall of about 100 feet tall…smiling, it was beautiful.

“Wow…it’s beautiful…and warm…” She said smiling.



“Oh…sorry, that was me…” I said smiling…knowing that the disgusted look was coming, and sure enough…there it was. “Kidding, I’m kidding…it was a joke, it’s a hot spring in certain spots…” I said swimming under the waterfall. Coming up underneath into the cave, a small waterfall coming off to the side, which is where I washed my hair…Loki watching me with interest. What could I say, she was addicted to sex…any kind of sex…but she wasn’t a whore…no…never a whore or slut. “Are you going to wash your hair??” I asked as I finished rinsing my hair out…wringing it out. “Yeah…” she said as she grabbed the shampoo, washing her own hair. As I watched her, her hair wet, and water trickling down her body…knowing that I was watching, she looked at me with those chocolate eyes and smiled.



As she finished, I could only look at her. “Are you coming??” I asked looking back at her making my way along on the edges, only to lead us back to the clearing we started in. “I thought you said we had to swim??” She asked a little bit perturbed. “Yeah…well…I felt like swimming, and I didn’t need you getting lost.” I said with a smile as the look on her face changed to a more calm look…I really did worry about her you know…Especially up here. I don’t know what I’d do if anything bad ever happened to her…well…anything I could prevent. Quickly retrieving my clothes and getting dressed, Loki checked her clothes before doing the same.



“Okay, there is a trail leading to the top of the waterfall…did you want to come?” I asked her as I tied my last shoe. “Yeah…I would love to…” She said smiling as she followed me.





Switch POV





Kira got on my nerves sometimes, today being a good day…first it was the swim…though it was well worth it…and then it was the hike that we were now going on. I was still tired from the trek yesterday, and she was still going…probably no doubt very sore. She was strong; I had to give her credit for that…this much I knew because of all the activities that had worn me down had barely fazed her. As we walked along the steep trail, making our way to the top, I began to see more of the mountains…the tops as it were. It was really chilly though as I wished I had brought a small jacket, just to block the breeze going through my skin. Kira had noticed me shivering, and pulled out the blanket we had laid down on last night, wrapping it around my shoulders…quickly warming me up as we reached the top of the waterfall.



“You like it??” she asked me as she pulled out her camera and took several different pictures, including me who just stared off the waterfalls edge, overlooking everything we had traveled up.



“Yeah…I love it…its beautiful…” I said smiling for a picture…and smiling at the gesture of her bringing me to such a beautiful place, knowing now that it would be OUR place and nobody else’s. “Well…if you’re done, I’m hungry…how about we head back to camp to get something to eat??” She asked smiling at me while she put her camera away so it wouldn’t get wet. “Sure…sounds good to me…” I said as I followed her, heading carefully down the steep incline. Losing my footing, I slid down, knowing that I was going to continue to fall until I reached the bottom…only to find two arms wrapped around me, catching me and helping me find my footing. “You okay??” She asked, worried about me, “You have to be careful you know…I don’t need you getting hurt…” she said as she made sure I had my footing. “Yeah…fine…thank you…” I said, eternally grateful that she had caught me, remembering those firm muscles that held me up, her keeping her balance the whole time…knowing it was only because she was so strong that I didn’t pull her down with me.



When we reached camp, Kira quickly grabbed the food and pulled out stuff for us to cook with, and food to eat. As she cooked our breakfast, the smell wafting into the tent as I rested my body, sore from all the hiking and swimming. “Loki, it’s ready…” she yelled at me, getting my attention as she had already started chowing down on hers. Looking at everything she had fixed, my eyes opened wide…amazed at all the food…there was more there than what we could eat. However, I soon found out that the extra food was just for Kira as she made her way to get seconds. The cooler had done its job in keeping our food cold and good…leaving us to have a good breakfast which consisted of eggs, ham, and even toast that Kira had grilled on the skillet.



“Hey…I think we should head back to the car in the morning…I need rest before we hit the schoolwork again, and I have a lot to do…” She said as she cleaned everything up, dumping all the food over the cliff edge. “Sure…sounds good to me…” I said as I finished my breakfast, leaving the ham for Kira to eat, I didn’t like ham. “What’re we going to do for the rest of the day???” I asked her, curious if she had anything else planned. “Just chilling out, resting, I’m going to take a nap…” she said as she hung the food back up in the tree until the next meal.



“Okay…sounds good to me…” I said smiling and stripping my clothes…laying the blanket out on the ground. “Whoa…what’re you doing Loki??” She asked me with surprise. “I’m sunbathing…got a problem with it??” I asked her as I soaked in the warmth of the sun. “No…just watch out for critters, I’m going to go take my nap now…” She said as she headed into the tent, taking her boots off before zipping it up. Soaking up the sun, I laid there for 20 minutes before flipping over, and lay there for another 20 minutes before I decided to call it good. Walking over to get in the tent with Kira, I unzipped the tent…laughing at the sight that I saw. Here was Kira, all spread out all over the mattress, hands above her head, and mouth wide open…but sleeping so peacefully…I had to have a picture. I ran over to her satchel, and pulled out her camera, knowing she would kill me for doing this later…when she found out. As I snapped the picture…I couldn’t help but bust out in a fit of giggles…taking a picture of me laughing at her with her sleeping form in the background. Quickly deciding that I was too tired to think anymore, I put her camera up and joined her in the bed…having to push her to the side, only to be attacked once settled down…her arm draping around my waist and her head laying against my shoulder. It was cute, and it felt good…to have somebody who cared so much about me, knowing that she loved me…but waiting for the time for her to tell me. Smiling…I fell asleep…only thinking of her…which was something I never did…I never thought about girls…but I did her.





Switch POV





As I woke up, I realized that I had slept all day and night, and it was the morning that we were supposed to have headed out, feeling more refreshed, I got out of the tent. “Morning sunshine…” Loki said with a smile as she stood there ready to pack up the tent…everything else already gathered at my feet.



“Sleep well?? You looked tired and worn out, so I just let you sleep…” She explained pointing to my feet, seeing water and a sandwich. “Thank you…” I said smiling at her as I ate the sandwich and watched her pack up the tent. “This time…I get to haul the stuff…going down should be easier than coming up…” She claimed as she finished, quickly putting on majority of the packs before I could get to them. “Okay…fair enough…not like I can talk you into doing something different anyways…” I said…not really caring whether or not I was actually the one taking them. She did leave me with the heavier stuff though, which I didn’t mind at all…I couldn’t afford to be bulky on the way down if Loki decided to fall again…I did have to be able to catch her…even though my arms felt weak from catching her yesterday. As we descended the mountain with no incidents, we arrived back at the car and loaded everything up…Loki tired from carrying everything.



As we headed back to the college, Loki had fallen asleep…she must not have slept at all yesterday…the bags under her eyes was evidence of that. Driving on the highway at about 80 miles an hour, a motorcycle sped past us, making me smile…I had always wanted a motorcycle, but living with my parents had been a problem. However, since I no long lived with my parents…I could buy one, I’d still get chewed out…but it would be worth it. As we finally pulled into the college, Loki was still asleep…not wanting to wake her, I picked her up and carried her to the room, covering her up with her blanket after taking her shoes off. Quickly unpacking the car and setting the stuff down in the room, putting it where it belonged, I took a quick shower and laid down…I would do my homework when I woke up…and I quickly fell asleep.





Switch POV





As I woke up, I noticed that I was in my bed at college…knowing I had not walked there myself, I looked over at Kira…who was sound asleep. Getting up, I grabbed my shampoo and a towel and went to take a shower…thinking of everything that Kira had done for me this weekend….all of it soaking in at once. I started to cry, the feeling overwhelming me…never in my life had I ever had anybody that cared this much about me…and with all the crap going on at home…what was I supposed to do? I could feel relief as I cried it all out, glad that Kira was sleeping. She meant a lot to me, more than I could even know…and I knew that if anything ever happened to her, I would be bored…never having a boring moment with her. Though she did sleep most of the time, she was fun to be around when she was awake…and she was my best friend, a true friend and other people were too stupid to see that, but that was their loss. Turning the water off…I made my way back to the room, ready to face the world once again with a smile on my face, even though I was broken into a million pieces on the inside.



Doing my homework and reading the chapters I was supposed to read, hearing Kira stir in her bed, I smiled as I said “Morning Sunshine…” hearing a faint reply of “ugh…” making me laugh. Kira wasn’t exactly a morning person, especially when she was wore out and tired, and it made me laugh because I never sleep that much, I would go to bed around 3 in the morning and wake up about7. It was mainly because of all the crap going on, and the first night I had slept well and even slept in was the first night that we spent on the mountains.



“You better get up and do your homework, it’s due tomorrow you know…” I said laughing at her, receiving a look that would kill me if looks could kill, as she rolled over and put her pillow on top of her head, finally getting up and starting on her homework. The day went on like normal, only to fall asleep once again…this time sleeping the whole night.
