Chapter Three
***Chapter Three***
Faith scans hastily over the scene in front of her taking in as much as she can. The young Athenians have just been brought in by the soldiers, and Raine is also chained and guarded. A large tan man sits in the throne, and she can only assume that he is King Minos. She can already tell that this situation is not going to go very well, especially since Raine has apparently got into some trouble. She watches as Minos gets a large grin on his face.
“People of Crete, today we let the Athenians feel our hatred for what they have done in the past. Ariadne, come out and the ceremony shall begin.” Faith had managed to make her way to a pillar behind the throne by this point. She watches as a beautiful young woman makes her way into the throne room gracefully gliding over to her father’s side. She wore a skirt that had a slit that went all the way to the top of her hip on the right side, a gold belt with tassels in the back and three tassels in the front, and her top was a wrap that went around her back, crossed over her breasts, and wrapped around her neck. The rest of her dark tan skin was on display for everyone to see. Faith keeps an eye on the young woman and has a feeling that she has been seen, but the girl does not say anything if she did see her.
“Father, which Athenian shall be the first to be thrown in and sacrificed to the Minotaur?” Ariadne looks over the Athenians, knowing that there is no way that all of them will make it out alive.
Her father’s hand rises and he begins pointing and moving it across the line of Athenians. “The ambassador shall go last just so she can witness the full extent of what she failed to save her charges from.” His finger stops suddenly. “She shall be first.” Ariadne walks to the middle of the room beside the large pit. She saunters up to the girl and looks into her eyes seeing how terrified she is. Her mouth comes near the girl’s ear as she whispers sweet words that both calm and arouse her. The guards standing beside the girl free her of her chains. As soon as Ariadne pulls away and makes a swift motion with her hand, the girl is tossed into the pit.
The other Athenians are forced near the edge of the pit and their heads are turned by the guards so that they are forced to watch their companion’s fate. Asterion pounces upon the girl as soon as she is dropped in and takes a large bite out of her stomach. He is hungry for the Cretans have not dropped anyone down since the time has neared for the arrival of the new batch of Athenians. Screams rip out of the girl’s throat as she is eaten alive. Arms are torn off of the body and munched on, and the legs are treated no differently. The girl is being eaten alive and slowly bleeding to death. It can only be hoped that her torment will end soon.
Faith peeks out from her hiding spot and watches some of the Athenians release the contents of their stomach onto the floor. She can see that Raine wants to look away and is probably wishing the same thing she is. If only that poor girl could be put out of her misery, it is cruel to let her suffer and be in that much pain. Faith notices that Raine is in an outfit that you would have normally had to have a fight with her to get her into. The outfit was very similar to Ariadne’s except the cloth seemed to be made out of coarser material and the belt was made of brown leather. Raine’s brunette hair was still braided in her normal fashion and hung down her back to the top of her butt. Even in this situation, Faith had to admit that Raine looked very good in those clothes.
Faith pulls herself back behind the pillar and silently begins to slide a dagger out of a sheath that is hidden in her boot. She uses the light coming in from the open palace doors and windows to try and signal to Raine that she is there. Faith stops when she hears Minos shift in the throne after the girl’s screams have finally stopped.
“Ariadne, begin throwing the rest in.” The real ceremony has now begun as everyone’s eyes lock on Ariadne as she starts to dance around the young Athenians. Even the girls’ eyes are locked on her and her graceful movements. She weaves and seductively dances around each Athenian in turn until they are aroused. Her seductive voice only helps her accomplish her goal. One by one they are thrown into the dark hole that leads to the labyrinth. During this time, Faith has been trying to signal Raine but it has been to no avail.
The only person left now, who had not been thrown into the pit, was Raine. She also seemed to be the only one unaffected by Ariadne’s voice, dances, and slight touches to the other Athenians. Faith watches as Ariadne’s style changes to try and arouse Raine while she slips her dagger back into its hiding place.
Ariadne could tell that Raine was smothering her arousal as soon as it would start to build up. She knew the consequences that would follow if a person could not be aroused before being tossed into the labyrinth, and she did not want that for Raine. The guards would rape her without abandon if she could not get her aroused. Ariadne began rubbing her body against Raine’s and letting her feel skin upon skin. Her mouth whispered sweet things into her ears while her hands ran all over her body. Ariadne made sure that Raine would not be able to squash down the arousal that she was causing her. Ariadne backed away when she could smell her arousal, letting the guards throw her into the labyrinth.
Faith heard the crash of Raine’s body hitting the floor of the labyrinth, but could only wait behind the throne or risk showing herself and getting thrown in there as well. She knew that Raine could take care of herself as long as an unusual, unfortunate circumstance did not put her in the hands of the Minotaur. Faith could hear Minos chuckle from the occasional screams that would come from the pit in the floor. He sat there while the townspeople cleared out, now bored that the show was over. Faith sits behind the throne becoming more annoyed that Minos is sitting there enjoying the random scream instead of leaving and returning to his chambers.
When Minos finally gets tired of listening for screams that were not coming, he left the throne room to go and mingle elsewhere. Faith let out an aggravated sigh once he was gone at the time she had lost because of the fat king. She slowly checked her surroundings before standing up from her kneeling position and heading towards the door that would put her into one of the palace halls. When she stepped through the door, the princess Ariadne was there waiting for her.
“Follow me.” Ariadne quietly says as she takes Faith’s hand and leads her through the hallways to her chambers. When they have entered her room, Ariadne closes the door and says, “We are free to speak in here.”
Faith looks over the girl she had watched arouse every Athenian captive in the room earlier before waving her hand for them to be thrown into the labyrinth. She could not help but remember what she had done to Raine. Faith could not help but to accuse Ariadne first off. “Why should I trust you? That was my friend you threw in there!”
To Faith’s surprise there was an immediate response from Ariadne, “I want to get her out as much as you do.” Faith gives Ariadne an odd look while she tries to understand the odd girl. Faith can’t help but wonder if something has transpired between her friend and Ariadne. Ariadne sits down on the sofa in front of her bed, and Faith stands staring at her. Ariadne getting annoyed at Faith’s unending stare finally says, “Can you at least sit down if you’re determined to stare at me?”
Faith plops herself down at the opposite end of the sofa that Ariadne is sitting on and turns so that she can face her. Ariadne is beginning to become frustrated from Faith’s continuous staring. Ariadne finally just blurts out, “Do you want my help or not?” Faith’s eyes snap to Ariadne’s, her attention had finally been caught by the princess.
“You want to help?”
“Yes, I did ask if you want my help or not.” Faith looks over the princess once more.
“I’d like to have your help. My name is Faith.” It is Ariadne’s turn to look over Raine’s strange friend who was still in the dark cloak she had first spotted her wearing during the ceremony behind her father’s throne. “I’ll make a deal with you Ariadne. I'll give you the best night of pleasure you've ever had if you can get me into the labyrinth and then get both me and my friend out.”
Ariadne’s eyes widen at the very unusual offer that is surprisingly intriguing. There is a total stranger offering to give her the best night of pleasure she has ever had, but she is not exactly a good girl. It would be hard for this stranger to fulfill her boast, and Ariadne was curious to see if she even could.
