I AM SO IRRITATED! THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I’VE HAD TO WRITE THIS CHAPTER!

My computer died cause the power went out right after I finished typing this and since I hadn’t saved, everything was gone. So I’m a little disgruntled towards my computer for making me have to write this a second time….

But my main irritation is only one person reviewed. Saminada you are my faithful review and I love you for it!

I hope you all enjoy this new installment of “scarlet tears and a broken past.”

Yasu growled playfully as he wrestled with Kisame, laughing loudly, the sound light and pleasurable. In the hours time since Kisame had arrived neither of the teens had done any of what they’d aimed to accomplish in the beginning.

“I won’t let you beat me this time, chump!” he growled with false bravado as he pinned Kisame underneath his smaller frame.

“Nice try,” Kisame smirked, easily getting the smaller boy off and flipping him underneath his own body. “Where my dad comes from, they live for this kind of stuff.”

Outside the sky had gone from pale pink to orange and finally to a dark rich ebony, encasing the house in shadows which seemed to seem into every corner of the home but the lighted room where the two boys were playing. A tall figure melded with the shadows in the doorway, completely unnoticed by the two laughing teens.

Their laughter floated out into the thick darkness, a joyful lilting sound. Red eyes watched narrowing with dark anger, fierce jealousy and a dangerous possessiveness. It was new, it was controlling. A powerful and addicting force.

“Yasu…”

The word seemed to echo through the air, chilling the light happy sounds. Yasu lifted his head, the hairs on his arms rising as if someone had poured ice down his back.

“Did you hear something?” he asked softly, his eyes going to the dark doorway.

“No, but that’s not getting you out of this chokehold!” Kisame laughed, wrapping his arms around Yasus neck and shoulders, pressing his body down over Yasus as he pushed the smaller teens head closer to the ground. Only Yasus arm kept his head from being pressed to the floor completely. “Now call it quits! Say uncle.”

“Hell no!”

The sound of a feral hiss leaked into the air, chilling the room down, the sound slithering like a snake down Kisames spine. The shadows themselves seemed to quake with fear, shivering with slight movement.

“I win,” Kisame said grinning uneasily, shrugging off the chilling feeling. He stood and turned from Yasu, glancing at the open door apprehensively. “I guess I’d better head home. I don’t have my cell phone on me so I know Ai is probably blowing up right about now.”

He turned to Yasu, grinning to see his weary friend already pulling back the mussed covers of his bed and pulling off his socks and shirt. “See you tomorrow,” he grinned as he picked his stuff up from the floor, ignoring the chill running through his body.

Yasu smirked slightly as he watched Kisame from his bed. “Don’t get caught talking to any strange ladies on the street,” he teased lightly. “Ai might get angry if you help an old one across the street.”

Yasu snickered at the helpless look that flashed across his friends face. He loved throwing Ai’s jealousy at Kisame since the taller teen never seemed to have the guts to talk to his girlfriend about it and never seemed to learn his lesson about flirting with other girls behind her back.

Kisame laughed sarcastically before flicking Yasu off over his shoulder as he left the room. His footsteps faded and the sound was follow by the click of the front door closing as Kisame left.

Yasu sighed softly, lying back on his bed staring at the ceiling for a moment. He closed his eyes tiredly and smiled in faint amusement.

“Yasu…”

The sound seemed to whisper softly through Yasu’s mind, the caress of a gentle hand in his thoughts. Then as soon as it was there, the chill from before and the warmth the sound now brought was gone.

Yasu opened his eye slightly, sitting up in his bed. He shook his head gently, placing his palm to his forehead. He closed his eyes again, laying his head back on the pillow, curling onto his side staring out the window at the bright moon overhead.

“I swear,” he murmured. “It sounded like someone was calling my name…”

The moon shone in his window as he drifted into unconscious slumber.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Outside the full moon glowed bright and full, a pure, cold, white sun stranded in a sky completely void of stars. The luminous orb caressed the street which seemed to stretch on endlessly like a black sheet of silk in the dark.

The wind picked up, bitter and biting breezes; wafting through the trees making the branches dance a live and sinister looking waltz.

Haruka stared up at the sky, stepping out from the encasing shadows allowing the soft cool light of the moon to embrace him. He moved to the center of the street, gazing up at the black blue sky and the pale face of light with a faint look of stricken awe.

“It’s been so long,” he whispered weakly. He felt the pressure of would be tears behind his eyes and felt the damp cold moisture on his cheek a moment later, though he knew better. He reached his, his fingertips brushing the course of the scarlet drops, pulling away his hand to gaze at the color with sadness. Scarlet tears of blood were all he had.

Kisame sighed, running a hand through his blond spikes as he walked down the road. He kept his eyes partially shut as he scanned through his thoughts. He pocketed his hands, unaware of the tall, looming figure ahead of him.

“Damn it,” he muttered. “Ai is going to kill me tomorrow.”

Haruka turned, the teen’s voice carrying on the wind, clear as if he were next to him. His dark blue eyes flashed dark crimson, his lips curling up over his fangs in a feral hiss. He turned slightly, the light from the moon sliding over his bare granite chest in a light caress.

The pale peach skin held the lines of scars long since faded, as well as puckered red wounds inflicted by the butler, Yuri, in his last moments before Haruka had snapped the mans neck, stealing away the life the lowly worm hadn’t deserved to have.

His ears perked slightly on the teens words and a cold smirk passed over his lips in a cruel grimace.

“She may not get the chance to,” he whispered, but his voice carried clearly, a deep and sensual timber. A very weapon itself; the voice of the beast.

Kisame jumped, startled, his eyes widening as he took in the tall pale figure standing before him.

“What?” he choked out. “Who the hell are you?”

Haruka smirked cruelly, his pale lips curving delicately over his hidden fangs. He stepped forward slowly, the wind brushing his long waist length, black hair out of his face. The lithe, pale, angelic beauty of a demon embraced in the moonlight.

“Who I am,” he murmured, “is none of your concern. However, who you are though…has me quite intrigued. As well as…ho you are to him.”

Kisame took a step back, chills running up and down his spin like panicking rodents on a sinking ship. “H…him?”

“Yasu Makemahi,” he whispered, taking another small step, his eyes narrowing darkly. Kisame took a sharp breath as he blinked once and in that blink the taller mans face was inches away from him, a clawed hand gracefully curving against Kisames cheek. Dark red eyes scanned the blonds’ startled face, taking in every detail with the scrutiny of a predator. “Just what are you to Yasu?”

Kisame opened his mouth slightly, his words stuttering from his lips as fear paralyzed his body like a vice. “You…you’re not human…”

Haruka pulled his lips over his fangs in a wild snarl, his cool hand going from gentle to ruthless, claws digging in to back of Kisame’s neck. He pulled the teen against his icy body, his other hand grasping Kisames wrist, his arms and hands like velvet covered steel.

“I am not the subject here!” he snarled, his voice slithering over Kisames skin like icy waters and scalding heat all in one. He smirked at the sharp yelp the teen let escape. The smell of fear and pain coming from him was as intoxicating as an aged wine.

“what the hell do you want from me?” Kisame whimpered. “Is it money? I’m broke. Whatever Yasu did, I have nothing to do with it, I swear!”

“Yasu did nothing,” Haruka whispered softly, sadness and faint pain crossing his beautiful face. But as soon as it was there it vanished, followed by a contemplating mask. He scanned Kisames face, stroking his cheek with his thumb, his claws still dug into the teens tender flesh.

“I could easily snap you neck; leave you here as a speed bump,” he murmured and let go of Kisames wrist, lifting a claw to Kisames cheek, drawing a thin red line. He lifted his claw and licked the drop of ruby from the tip. “Or…I could rip you apart and bleed you dry, like Dr. Kuro…”

Kisames eyes widened in horror at the taller mans words. “Y…you killed Dr. Kuro? You killed my best friends father?”

Haruka’s nose flared as the scent of fear intensified and spiced with the scent of anger. His eyes darkened even further from rose to crimson. The scent was like the sweetest of aphrodisiacs, tempting and forbidden all in one.

“An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind,” he said softly, sounding almost bored, “but in the good doctors case…he deserved what I gave him and worse. But…the question is…do you?”

He smirked cruelly, his fangs glinting in the moonlight. He let out a dark hiss. “Let’s find out.”

Kisame let out a sharp scream as Haruka struck, smooth and quick as a cobra strike. His fangs slid deep into Kisames neck, the force of the strike sending them both to the ground.

Haruka leaned forward pressing down with his hips, his hands moving to pin Kisames arms above his head. He pulled away, not caring as he tore flesh, blood coating his chin and lips with a ruby sheen. Kisames body fell slightly slack beneath him and he smirked icily. “Don’t pass out yet,” he purred. “I want an answer.”

Kisames screams were drowned out by the sound of the howling winds.

I wanted to make this chapter longer but….beggars can’t be choosers I guess. I hope you enjoy this installment. I’ll update again in the next few days. Hopefully Saturday….if I’m lucky and don’t have too much work to do.

Remember to review. I’m irritated as it is, don’t make me mad too!
