The Visit

I had seen Lilith one time since the day she raped me, and that was when all the vampires came into The Great Circle. She had three long scars across her beautiful face. Her long blond hair was up in a elegant bun, standing as if the scar made no difference. I inwardly smirked as I stood beside my beloved. It made me wonder why they had not healed. I then assumed that Valentine made sure they were not to heal. I was startled out of my musings when Valentine wrapped his arm around my waist, leaning down to my ear.

"You are not to say anything to Lilith." his smooth voice whispered. I nodded once and before I could register it, his arm was gone. I stood before a number of vampires and some gave me high regards... and many not. But I did not care what they thought of me. Hmm... well, besides Sabrina, Carmella and Astra. Those three vampires were nice to me.

They did not treat me like Lilith. They are more... carefree. I had not been with them for a while, but I will make sure to see them after the meeting. Though we don\'t talk often, I doubt that anyone had to tell them what happened to me and Lilith\'s face. I am pretty sure my love had already told them... either that or the word had spread; and word spreads pretty quick in Blaque Manor.

"Sit." Valentine said coolly and every vampire and human sat. I, beside my love of course. The room itself was huge and was mainly black and red. There were windows in the Blaque Manor (except for the room I shared with Valentine), and so they kept the room lit with candles.

It also amazed me that every time I visit this room, the candles seemed to never burn out or melt. As I sat beside Valentine, I noticed that eyes were on me. Not the usual, I feel like I\'m being watched, feeling; that\'s always there. I shook off the feeling and left my hands underneath the great table. I wanted to reach over a little to touch Valentine\'s hands, but I decided against it.

"I have called you hear this evening to discuss the disagreement with the Sterling Family." I look at him, remembering the last name. I wondered if it were--

"That damned Virgil!" Christopher growled, his blue eyes dark. Yes, they were speaking of Virgil... but, that would mean Virgil was a...

Vampire.

"He is always bitching about someone hunting in his territory!" Christopher continued. Valentine put up his hand to silence him. I nearly smiled at my love. So calm was he.

"Be that as it may, whoever was hunting around Sterling\'s mansion, must be stopped. I know it has to be someone here in the Manor, but I will not threaten any of you yet to know who it was." Valentine said, his voice now firm. I continued to watch my beloved as he spoke. His serious voice began to excite me. I know how weird that may sound, but you just don\'t understand. Hearing speak with authority, even though it wasn\'t towards me, sent shivers down my spine. I had to bite the inside of my cheek to keep me from moaning out loud. I knew that would only get me either glares or raised eyebrows.

Coming to the end of the meeting, Valentine had sent Christopher and his brother Deacon out to patrol the lands. He would speak to Virgil himself.

"The meeting is over." Valentine said standing. I inwardly sighed, relieved. If I sat in that seat any longer, my butt would become numb; no matter how comfortable the seat were. I stood up along with everyone else and I noticed that Carmella, Sabrina and Astra, was trying to get my attention. I smiled at her and nodded. Before I could walk in their direction, Valentine stopped me.

"Ariana." he called and I looked back to him. He caught my wrist and brought me to him. I stared into his lovely eyes.

"Yes?"

"You do realize how serious this is?" he asked. I sighed, nodding. "Yes."

"Very good. I will just have to keep more of an eye on you now." I gasped.

"No! I\'ll just--" He rose an eyebrow at me, cutting me off.

"You\'ll just what?" he asked.

"Well... someone else could watch me." Valentine\'s eyebrow rose again.

"And whom might this be?"

"Carmella, Sabrina and Astra!" I said quickly and I knew they all heard me. I wasn\'t worried about what Sabrina and Astra would say... just Carmella. I could see her crossing her arms now. The gesture automatically said no.

"The Trouble Sisters." he said, dryly, not believing me. "Ariana, you expect me to believe this? I would believe them three to be the perpetrators if it weren\'t for how deep the situation was."

"Oh, come on. They aren\'t that bad." I defended. "They\'ve saved me plenty of times and have kept me out of trouble. And since when did you give them the name of "The Trouble Sisters"? Now, that\'s just plain mean." I said reprimandingly.

He did not budge. "I\'m saying no, Ariana. I will watch you-"

"Please?" I suddenly asked and I could see him stiffen.

"No."

"Please?"

"No."

"Please, please, please?" I begged, clasping my hands together. I saw his shoulders relax and I knew I was getting to him.

"Ariana. The answer is no and that\'s fi-"

"I\'ll love you forever and ever and ever and ever!" I said childishly and he glared at me. He leaned down to my face, staring me straight in the eye.

"If something happens to you or if you find yourself in trouble again, I will punish them severely." he growled. "And I will punish you worse." he finished and I gulped. I nodded.

"Go." he said and I quickly kissed his cheek before running around the massive table to the three women. Valentine inwardly smirked before disappearing himself.

"Ariana," Carmella said and I smiled innocently at her.

"Yes?"

"I will get you for this." she said and walked out of the room. Sabrina and Astra shook their heads, smiling.

"I love you too!" I called after her.

Sabrina and Astra went to either side of me and grabbed my hands. Astra then said, "Don\'t worry about Cara, she\'ll be fine." Sabrina smiled, her fangs surprisingly white.

"She\'s just grumpy because she hasn\'t fed yet." Sabrina said playfully.

Valentine walked down the long corridor, wondering if he made the right decision. Though he wished nothing would happen to Ariana, he had a feeling something would happen. The only thing he had to do was wait and think of the sister\'s punisment.

Especially Ariana\'s.

I sighed as I waited for the three to dress. They were trying to find the right dress, skirt, and corset to wear on the outing. I was all ready dressed in my light blue, v-cut shirt and short black skirt. The skirt went way above my knees and the black lace bra I was wearing along with my shirt, pushed up my breasts. I boredly played with my hair as I watched them primp.

"Are you sure Valentine will be fine with this? " I asked for the umpteenth time that night. I heard Astra let out an irritated sigh.

"Ariana! If you do not shut up, we will leave you here!" I smirked.

"What about Valentine? Forgot about the consequences?" I asked and she hissed at me. Her fangs glistened from the light in the room.

"Don\'t push it, princess." Astra warned. I smiled nonetheless. Astra was a good per-- vampire by nature, but she had one mean attitude if someone did the slightest thing. Sabrina shook her head as she clasped her bra.

"Astra, stop it. Ariana, stop messing with her." she said in a motherly tone. Astra growled low, muttering something under her breath before she finished dressing.

"I didn\'t do anything." I said innocently and I heard her scoff. I smiled and looked at Carmella\'s black and purple corset. I could have sworn I saw her smile before I saw her lift her arm, running her fingers through long black tresses. I loved her hair. Sometimes, she would let me play with her hair. Wash it, dry it, braid it, twist it, curl it, ah, just so many things she would let me do... when she\'s in her I-don\'t-care mood. Which isn\'t too rare. I smile at the thought. Not many things excite her... except sex and trouble.

Though mainly sex.

Carmella was such a quiet person. Quiet and stoic. Not many people were able to get close to her besides Sabrina and Astra. Sabrina had told me the story of how they met and she did not leave a single detail out. Much to Carmella\'s dismay. Carmella was born in the 1600\'s, but looked as if she were no more than twenty. Her father was a vampire and turned her against her will. Though she was weak afterwards, she swore she would have him killed...

For he killed her mother.

Unconsiously, my hands clenched tightly. No. I need to think of something else. Carmella\'s life was more harsh than Sabrina and Astra\'s. Sabrina was a vampire from birth. Her parents loved her dearly, up until they died from a vampire hunter. Astra was turned, but by her love... who died only a year, yet by another vampire hunter. I--

Ariana. The voice whispered in my head and that quickly brought me back.

"Aai!" I screamed and brought my hands up to my head. When I felt the little voice slip away once more, I looked to Sabrina to see her laughing. Astra looked as if she would do the same any minute. And Carmella just looked stoney as ever.

"Who did it?" I asked, my voice dark. All three of them knew I hated when they did that. No one confessed.

"Dammit, guys! You know I hate that!" I yelled, rubbing my ears. Sabrina only laughed more, knowing it was not my ears that was bothering me.

"Then maybe you shouldn\'t space out." Carmella said and I glared at her.

"You." I said, standing up from the bed. "Not you! Sabrina or Astra maybe, but not you." I said in disbelief. Carmella then smiled.

"Oh, my god. You smiled!" I said, honestly surprised. I did not see Carmella smile too many times... in a year. I looked towards the other two girls. "Don\'t tell me you didn\'t see that! She was smiling!" I exclaimed. Astra sighed and Sabrina continued to laugh.

"Let\'s go." Carmella said, her six inch heels clicking the hard wood floor.

"Oh, come on! You\'re gonna act like that didn\'t happen!" I said and Sabrina didn\'t say anything, only pulled me along with them.

Valentine waited inside his study, wondering what Ariana and the Trouble Sisters would be doing this night. He could only hope there wouldn\'t be any trouble. Though he doubted it. During the past hour, he\'s been thinking about going to take Ariana from the three and having her stay with him. He would feel better that way and Ariana would be safe.

He tapped his nails on the desk. Valentine sighed to himself. It\'s amazing how many vampires breathe though its not necessary to. Old habits die hard, I suppose. He thought. His tapping slowed when he noticed another in the room.

"Valentine, nice to see you again." The cool voice greeted. Valentine\'s tapping completely stopped as he looked up towards the door.

Valentine held back a sneer. "Virgil."

Virgil smiled and brought a hand up to his chest, over what used to be a heart. "Your tone sounds so uninviting. I\'m wounded."

"I am not in the mood for your jokes." Valentine said, his reply sounding more like a warning. He stood up from his chair.

"I can only wonder what... or whom, you were thinking of." Virgil continued as if Valentine had not spoken.

"Virgil..." Valentine growled.

"Ah, I believe it must be the radiant Ms. Delgado. Oh, she is a beauty." Virgil finished, inwardly smiling. Valentine growled and quicker than any human, he was in front of the vampire, flexing his claws.

"Virgil. Don\'t you dare bring up her name." Virgil laughed.

"Oh, dear friend. I was only joking. My goodness." Virgil laughed whole-heartedly. Valentine snarled at him. Virgil rose an eyebrow, waving a hand at him.

"You should really calm down. You are so up tight. I seriously do not know how Ms. Del-" Virgil\'s sentence was cut off by Valentine\'s fist. Virgil took a graceful step back, putting his jaw back in place. A low growl erupted from Valentine\'s throat. Virgil continued to rub his jaw as he spoke.

"Well, I should have seen that coming." Virgil commented, now smiling. Valentine growled once more before clenching his fists. Virgil rose an eyebrow at the vampire in front of him.

"I suppose I should start this conversation anew." Virgil said aloud. More to himself than anything. Valentine turned away from Virgil to compose himself.

"Have you any idea who\'s been hunting in my territory?"

"We\'re looking into that now." Valentine said, his voice a bit gruff. He cleared his throat and glanced back at the other vampire.

"We?" Virgil asked.

"My pack and I." Virgil nodded.

"I wish to punish them if--"

"No." Valentine said sharply, turning around to face him. "I will not have you punish them. Especially when your punishment involves more torture than anything else." Virgil smirked, his fangs glistening.

"Agreed. Now, getting off this subject, let\'s discuss Ariana."
