Episode Three

The week passed without a problem, Wednesday afternoon was the ‘Acid Kisses’ band practice. Lacey sang, Mitch on drums, Hunter on guitar, and Jason on bass.
“Don’t make me tell you the truth, after I’ve been running for so long. Don’t know how to say why I need to be strong. Everything’s falling apart, and I’m wondering why, wondering why. I can’t live without you by my side. Come to me now, let me-”
“Stop!”
“God Hunter what is it this time?” Lacey said her hands dropping off the microphone stand. She turned to Hunter, as he swung his guitar behind his back.
“It’s five…didn’t you say you had to be home by six?” Hunter said, and Lacey looked at the clock. Sure enough it was five…Lacey grabbed her bag and her keys.
“I’ll see ya’ll at school tomorrow.” And she left the garage.
Mitch shook his head, Hunter just stared after her. Jason pulled his bass over his shoulder, and set it on a chair.
“Where’s she off to in such a hurry?” Hunter asked.
“Who knows” Jason replied.
“She wouldn’t tell me…but something’s up. She wasn’t home all Saturday, she takes long trips to the bathroom during classes.” Mitch said setting his drumsticks down.
“Aren’t you her best friend?” Hunter said following Jason’s actions.
“Yes but…she’s hiding something, she thinks I won’t approve of.”
“That makes sense.” Jason said as he picked up his bag.
“Well let’s hope she doesn’t get herself into any trouble.” Hunter said, and packed up his guitar, taped inside the top of the case was a picture of Lacey singing. He touched it gently and put away his guitar, not noticing Mitch standing behind him.
“I don’t know why you don’t go for it man.”
“I’m off!”
“Bye Jason”
“I can’t go for her, she made it perfectly clear, that she doesn’t want a relationship, and because this isn’t her home…London is.”
“So you could always leave with her, you say so often you hate it around here…you could find a good job in London…then you’ll be together.”
“Maybe… I should head off too.”
“Think about it man…I’ll see you in school tomorrow.”

Lacey started dinner; she had forty five minutes before Aiden arrived. She was making her famous enchiladas. The radio blasted Metallica through out her tiny apartment. She couldn’t wait…her first date after coming to America. And with Aiden…the most wanted guy in the school.

Lacey came out of her bedroom, everything was ready. And she looked stunning; she wore a gold slinky top, a pair of black pinstripe pants, and a pearl and gold choker. She pulled her hair into a bun and her speaker buzzed.
She pushed the button, “I’ll buzz you up.” She said and hit the second button.
A minute later Aiden was knocking on the door. Lacey took a few minutes…to make her not seem too desperate. When she finally opened the door, and almost fell over; Aiden wore a blue dress top that he had unbuttoned enough that you could see his firm collar bone, and black dress pants.
Lacey smiled “Please come in.” She said and stepped aside.
“So this is your place, its nice, and you look amazing.” Aiden said taking her hands in his and looking her over.
“Back at ya!” She said pulling him toward her, and giving him a gentle hello kiss. Then she stepped back and headed towards the kitchen. “I hope you’re hungry!”
“Very!”
“Well take a seat and I’ll get our dinner.” Lacey gestured towards a small candle-lit table. Aiden took his seat and Lacey stepped into the open kitchen, and pulled out two plates. She set one before Aiden who smiled.
“This looks delicious, Lace.”
“Thank you.” Lacey said taking her seat. She smiled at him and picked up her fork… “Well don’t just stare at it…dig in!”

Janie walked past Jimmy’s as Mitch was riding out on his bike. He stopped in front of her. Inside he desperately hoped she’d let him fuck her again.
“Want a ride, princess?”
“Not from a slimy punk like you!”
“That’s not what you were saying the other night.”
Janie’s face went red as she walked past the bike and stormed off down the street. Unaware that Mitch was following her till about three blocks later. She stopped and turned and there was Mitch, ten feet behind her.
“Fine…but don’t call me princess!” Janie said hopping on the bike and gripping tight to Mitch’s waist.

Lacey and Aiden sat close on her small couch. Aiden slipped his arm around Lacey’s waist… and pulled her even closer. Lacey looked up at him and smiled, Aiden leaned down slowly and captured her lips. Lacey's eyes fell close when she touched Aiden's warm, wet lips. Aiden let out a soft groan and pressed his lips firmer against his lover's. In Lacey's life, nothing ever felt this right before! Lacey pulled back quickly, it felt right…her insides felt all warm and fuzzy, not hot and fiery.
“Oh no,” Lacey said standing up, and taking a few steps away from Aiden.
“What? What’s wrong?” Aiden replied standing up too.
“I feel warm and fuzzy…not hot and fiery.”
“Is there a difference?”
“Yes…I only feel warm and fuzzy for someone I feel is more then just a fuck buddy.”
“Oh…I see, look Lacey, so what you’re falling for me…who cares, I’d rather you be my girlfriend then my fuck buddy any way.” Aiden said pulling her into his arms.
“But I can’t risk that…no it can’t go farther!” Lacey said stepping away.
“LACEY!” Aiden said his voice lined with his growing aggravation with her emotions
“I’m sorry, but I can’t put either of us through that… trust me…I’m a bad influence…if you knew the kinda stuff I’ve done, and the guys I’ve gone out with you’d be running for it.”
“What ever! It was a very nice dinner, thank you!” Aiden said heading towards the door.
“Fine, just leave, just so you know what you’re missing…I’m not wearing underwear!” Lacey yelled as Aiden stepped out the door.
“Call me when you want more then a fuck buddy…” Aiden said over his shoulder and left the apartment, slamming the door in his wake. Lacey fell to the floor, tears brimming in her eyes.

Hunter woke to the ringing of his cell phone. The screen read Lacey (H), under that the time read 12:00 a.m. Hunter hit the green button.
“Hey Lace, what’s up?”
“Can you come over I’m feeling kinda…out of it.” Hunter could tell she’d been crying.
“Ya sure I’ll be there in five.”
“Thanks Hunt, see you then”
Hunter hung up and pulled on his jeans and a black muscle shirt, and headed out of his house, passing his drunken mother as he grabbed the car keys.

Lacey was sitting curled up on the couch when the door bell rang. Lacey got up slowly; she hadn’t changed out of her previous clothes, but had added a cigarette to the ensemble. She opened the door and there was Hunter. She let Hunter into the apartment, and then broke down crying. Hunter quickly wrapped her in his arms and guided her to the couch.
“Lacey what happened? And why didn’t you call Mitch?” He asked as she wiped away her tears.
“Mitch wouldn’t answer his phone; you’re the only other person who I thought to call.”
“Now tell me what’s upsetting you?”
“I fell for I guy I knew I couldn’t be with and just an hour ago he was ready to give his heart to me but I said it wouldn’t be fair to either of us…because I don’t belong in America. And he stormed out… just like they always do.” With that Lacey broke down again, Hunter had never seen her fall apart like this before.
“He doesn’t understand you’re reasoning, Lace, don’t let yourself fall apart over it… Look let’s get you in bed. And you’ll wake up in the morning, feeling wonderful.”
Lacey pulled back, and looked up at him, her amber eyes glowing with tears. That’s when Hunter got his first look at her outfit. Heat bubbled through his veins, when he saw the low rise jeans and skimpy top that showed off the angel wings on her shoulder blades. Quickly Hunter pushed all dirty thoughts from his mind.
“You’re probably right…But Hunter, please don’t leave me alone tonight…I’m tired of being alone in this apartment every night…The couch is really comfy…I can fix it up for you…Please!”
“Ok, Lacey, I’ll stay, but only because I’m worried about you.” Hunter said realizing how close they were. Lacey quickly closed the gap, their lips connecting gently. Lacey's lips were incredibly soft and kissing her was, as rumored, amazing. Hunter could hear the unmistakable sound of Lacey moving even closer to him. But Hunter felt completely content. Here he was, kissing Lacey in her apartment, and the kiss resonated her appreciation.
Her entire self, her insecurities and loneliness, had been revealed. And Lacey had never felt better. She knew Hunter wouldn’t leave, wouldn’t storm out like so many others had.
“Lacey before I stay, I want you to know that I wish I could be with you, I’d do anything…even go back to London with you, please Lacey…will you be my girlfriend.”
Lacey stopped, and looked down at him, “I wasn’t expecting that…um…I don’t know what to say.”
“Say you’ll go out with me.”
“Ok…but if it doesn’t end before I leave for England…will you come with me?”
“I’ve always wanted to live in England.”
Lacey broke out into all smiles and practically jumped onto Hunter. Suddenly, Hunter found himself kissing her, but not like the kiss before, time seemed to stop, fire traced their veins.
Lacey pulled away, and climbed off the couch. And pulled Hunter into the bedroom. She pushed him lightly onto the bed then climbed on after him, her long lean legs straddling his toned swimmers legs. Their lips met briefly, but it was enough for Lacey to be satisfied with the newly developed bulge in Hunters pants.
“Lacey, isn’t this moving kinda fast.” Hunter asked talking hypocritically to his crotch.
“Hunter…I want this and though you may not say it…I know you want to too.” Lacey said running her hands under his shirt and pulling it over his head. It didn’t take long before, Hunter was down to his boxers and Lacey was down to her bra and low rise pants.
“My god you’re beautiful…you know you’re even more beautiful when you sing? Every band practice, I could hardly play when I watched you sing?”
Lacey smiled, “No matter how long I sleep. All I can do is thinking of you, as my heart sighs. I can’t help but cry now that you’re gone.” She sang softly, but Hunter stopped her. He lifted her chin gently and their lips met, Hunter pulled her closer. His hand ran over her breasts and down her thin waist, and stopped on her firm hips. Hunter hooked his thumb in the belt loops of her pants, and Lacey got off him.
“Excuse me while I slip into something…a bit more to your liking.” Lacey said disappearing into the closet. Hunter climbed up higher onto the bed, suddenly music started playing and the lights dimmed. The closet doors opened and a scantily clad Lacey re-entered, wearing a red see-through robe and a white thong. Hunter smirked and pulled Lacey onto the bed with him.
“God you make me hot!” Before Hunter could comprehend what he was doing, he was kissing Lacey. His hands were tangled in that mass of beautiful, soft, black hair. Then his hands were trailing over her body. Quickly the robe was removed and the lights dimmed again.

Mitch lay in his bed twirling a nude Janie’s blond curls between his fingers. He knew this relationship would go no where, but he did enjoy the sex. Mitch looked down at Janie’s peaceful petite face, she was like an angel…perfect in everyway but slightly egotistical. Mitch enjoyed these peaceful moments when he watched her sleep…it would be the only times he saw her like this.

Lacey went over to the window, watching the sky, now softly banded in shades of blue and gray and lightest pink. After a few moments, Hunter walked over to stand behind her, and, naked, slid her midnight blue sheet from her shoulders. He slid his arms around her, and kissed her on the neck and shoulder.
“Good morning, beautiful,” Hunter said as Lacey let out a soft moan.
“Morning,” She replied glancing at the clock, “We have to get ready for school.”
