Chapter 2 - Life's a bitch
Creeping up the stairs of his dorm, he had to smack his bag lightly to keep the new dragon silent. "Edward... Be quiet," he hissed out, watching the dragon's small head poke out of the bag. Glaring at it, he pushed it gently back into the bag, just as several students walked past. Tensing slightly, he finally reached the top, only to find masses upon masses of his classmates. Damn, it was going to be much harder to be incognito now.
Standing up to his full height of 6'4, he breathed in deeply. "Alright, Louis... You can do this..." he murmured quietly, before stepping out into the crowd. Putting on his best smile, in gently pushed through the horde of people, greeting and apologizing as he went along. "So far, so good..." he sighed out, finally reaching his assigned room. Opening the door, he was surprised to find it already set up and devoid of any life except for him.
Closing the door behind him, he sighed softly, opening up his bag. He shrieked loudly as Edward leapt out of the confinement quickly. Stumbling until his back hit his bed, he fell over until he sat on it. Watching the creature literally bounce off the walls with lightning speed, Louis attempted to think of where he was going to hide the dragon. "Maybe I'll hide him in my underwear drawer... No one will go in there unless they want to be traumatized," he giggled out, his thoughts sidetracking towards his collection of underwear.
His mind snapped into alertness as his door began to open. He shrieked loudly as Edward slammed into his face, and latched on. Flailing his arms wildly, he stood up and attempted to remove the beast. Pulling almost violently at the dragon, he began to stumble around the room like a chicken with it's head cut off. "MRRRF!" he cried out muffedly, finally yanking the dragon off his face.
The door began to open ominously, making Louis' frantic mind practically suffer a seizure. Thinking quickly, he shoved the dragon into his shirt, before wrapping his over coat around him and clutching it to himself. His eyes were wide as a prefect slowly stepped in, looking as snobbish, as per usual. 'Ugh... Not now!' he whined mentally as he saw which prefect stepped in. Cain Hawthorne; The most popular guy on campus. Gagging inwardly, he forced a smile. "Cain... What a... Pleasant surprise..." he greeted, not wanting to deal with the obsessive man at the moment.
Cain arched a slender brow at the redhead, blue eyes fixated on him. Louis had not changed since last year, so hopefully, his 'hobbies' were still the same. The tall, blonde man had the strangest obsession with the other. Ever since he saw the boy get "abducted" by the ugliest creature he'd ever seen. Now, he didn't know if he were hallucinating, but he vowed to find out once and for all what Louis was hiding, and what Cain wanted, he got it. No questions asked.
Louis winced as he felt Edward clawing up his stomach, not helping his situation. He nearly growled as he watched Cain do nothing but stare. Honestly, did he have nothing better to do with his time?! Glaring, he waddled over to the prefect, turning him around to face the door. Pushing him out, he quickly stated, "SorrybutIneedtogetchanged! OK THANKS!" Slamming the door, he realized he had just made a smart move. At the instance after the door closed, he felt the tiny dragon's teeth latch onto his left nipple. "AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH! NIPPPPPLE!" he screamed loudly yanking the dragon off the sensitive part of his body. "Owwwwwwwwww...." he whined out breathlessly, glaring at the dragon who was practically grinning. Stupid dragon.
Cain's eyes widened slightly at the screams from the other side of the door. Backing away slightly, he blinked at the whimpering. Perhaps, he'd continue his investigation when Louis wasn't as weird as he was now. Shaking his head, he walked down the corridor, still bustling with people, barking orders every now and then.

Finally after a half hour, Louis left his room, locking the door behind him. He had several claw marks along his face, a few charcoaled edges on his shirt, and a very disheveled look. "Stupid dragon..." he muttered, making sure the door was locked securely. As he turned to walk away, he cringed at the sound of breaking glass. He really, really, didn't want to know what just happened. Shaking his head, he made a quick exit, ignoring the looks he got from his peers.
Leaving the dorm building, he glanced about the campus. Everyone seemed to have divided themselves into their 'cliques'. Good. Now he'd be able to find his friend's much more quickly. Walking past the jock group, he yelped as he felt a sandwich hit the side of his head. Pausing, he glanced at the meat filled food item, before glaring at the jocks. This only earned him howls of laughter. Honestly, who through a sandwich?! A freaking, sandwich?! Grumbling quietly, he adjusted his bag before making his way away from those assholes.
Finally, after walking half the back courtyard, he found his friends. Smiling widely, he approached the bickering group. Waving at them, he sat down beside Kenny, who was busy arguing with Wren about which Online Community was better. Shaking his head, he glanced over at Rupert, who was giving him an incredulous look. ". . . What?" he questioned softly, biting his lip.
"Nothing... Just wondering where you got those lovely scratches and burn marks," he stated calmly, ceasing the argument between Kenny and Wren. Soon, both Kenny and Wren had began to eye the redhead as well, eye brows raised.
Louis shifted back slightly, trying to think of a excuse. "U-Uhm... I-I-I was attacked by rabid, radio active, squirrels!" he squeaked out, waving his arms to emphasize his statement. "Every time they bit my clothing, it caught on fire! A-And they scratched me... Alot!" he finished, eyes wide. Hopefully, the wouldn't believe him, and make up their own, logical, excuse for him.
Wren stared at Louis for a moment, before snorting. "Oh please," he started, rolling his eyes. "Just admit that you tried to cook something for your mom, ending up in a disaster, and you attempted to pet a stray cat again," he muttered, staring at the redhead sternly. Honestly, Louis was such an idiot sometimes.
Bingo. "Oh... Hahaha; Wren... You caught me," he sighed out, raising his hands in defeat. Thank god Wren was the way he was, because he would have never thought of something like that. Earning a snort from the dark boy, he scratched the back of his head, laughing nervously.
However, Wren and Louis missed the exchange of looks between Rupert and Kenny. "Oh yes... He's definitely hiding something," he whispered in unison, before joining in on the argument about which Monster would be the best pet.

Finally, the day was over, much to Louis' delight. All day, Kenny and Rupert asked odd questions, making him uneasy. It sounded to him like they were growing suspicious of him. He'd need to think of a different excuse aside from his mother being ill. Sighing softly, he exited his room, dressed in one of his signatures outfits. He wore a long, white, dress shirt, with a small, striped tank top over top of it. He also wore pinstriped pants, that were almost to big for him. His red hair was tied back, with big pieces of hair left out in the front of his face.
Smiling happily, he locked the door to his room again. He had to quickly go to the Library and pick up the latest Alien Sighting magazine. People didn't know it, but everything those corny magazines said was true. Oh yes, he had seen many of the aliens up close and personal. Shuddering at the memories, he quickly made his way to the exit of the dorm.
The sun had already gone down, leaving the dark sky to be lit by the harvest moon, and many, twinkling stars. Inhaling deeply, Louis sighed as the fresh air filled his lungs. He loved September. It always had perfect weather, he thought so, anyway. Walking down one of the sidewalks that led towards the Library, he couldn't help but feel that eerie 'You're being followed' feeling. Glancing behind him for good measure, he was happy just to see a junior couple talking amongst themselves.
Finally arriving at the Library, he enthusiastically greeted the elderly Librarian. "Did you get the newest editions?!" he asked excitedly, earning a nod from the woman. He practically bounced in place as he slowly, very, slowly, reached for the magazines. Louis literally yanked them from the Librarian when he caught sight of them. "Thank you!" he thanked hurriedly, before running out of the Library.
Smiling to himself, he quickly approached the dorms. He wasn't going to sleep until late tonight! Bouncing at the thought, he didn't notice the figure following him. Even when he walked into the bright lights of the hall, he never noticed the person following him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was nearly 2 O'clock when Louis had finally fallen asleep. Around him were opened magazines, with little post-it notes on pages of interest. He wore little alien boxers, and was currently tangled in his bed sheets. Releasing a quiet sigh, Louis turned over onto his back, before settling back into a deep slumber. As his breathing became normal, a shadow slowly slunk towards his unaware form, eyes flashing.
A dark hand slowly reached out, caressing the redhead's slightly chubby face. Releasing a small purr, the shadow's hand slowly moved along the boy's throat, scratching ever-so slightly. His hand paused briefly as Louis stirred faintly, before settling back down once more. Sharp teeth appeared as the shadow grinned, his hand resuming it's journey once more. Ghosting his hand along the redhead's chest, he chuckled in a demonic voice as the boy released a soft whimper. Leaning down slowly, the demon grabbed lightly at Louis' head, bringing it up slightly. Then, he placed his lips against the other's, starting up a rather sensual kiss.
Louis released a small groan, eyes fluttering open. Furrowing his brows, he found himself staring at the ceiling, but, something was off. Eyes extremely wide, he realized there was pressure on a certain area. "Mrrf!" he tried to cry out, only finding himself muffled by... 'What?!' he cried out mentally, body thrashing about.
Almost instantly the presence was gone. Sitting up quickly, he glanced about, chest rising and falling. Groaning softly, he let his head fall back onto his pillow. However, he felt a shiver run up his body as he felt a moist spot on the pillow. Shooting up, he glared over his shoulder. There, sat Edward, an ever-so smug look on it's face. "I... hate you..." he muttered, before releasing a sigh. God, Life was a bitch.
