Chapter 3
I looked backwards out the corner of my eye, I saw nothing. It called my name
again. I turned around swiftly turned around drawing my sword in my left as Eternity
held its position in my right. I listened intently, my mind scoping the forest around me.
I heard nothing until I closed my eyes, I turned half way round and walked forward. It seemed to
be darker hear than anywhere else, and seemed to grow ever darker. I wondered who was calling me.
It didn't sound like a woman, although I couldn't sense a spy as we travelled out in this forest.
"Show yourself." I said stopping, drawing my sword. The light sliced through the darkness, exposing what seemed like hundreds of men.
None of them looked as if to be human, I smiled a devilish smile.
"Who sent you?" I asked politely, as the light died down and we were all hidden from one another yet again.
"The King." the voice whispered.
"So that's why he's a wanted man." I said smiling putting everything together. The King of Etyr was in league with the demons and the
ninjas knew it, and I was a pawn in the game. I loved things like this. I closed my eyes, I felt my body drop to one knee holding onto
a planted Eternity's handle.
"Where are you?" my voice rang through my head.
"What do you want?" the voice of the beat ran through my head.
"We have to act as one, give me your--" my voice rang through my head, then dissipated into nothingness. I felt renewed, cracking my neck and spine as I felt my wings hit the ground. I extended them out at full, I picked up Eternity and dashed through the forest killing everything in my path.
