Case one: Creatures of the night. part three.

The smell of sesame chicken with rice and vegetables was the first thing to enter the vampire’s mind while he slowly woke up.
The second thing was the fact that his neck was connected to his wrists by a chain that was connected to the stone floor.
Cole curiously pulled at the chain, testing its strength and durability. He quickly stopped when he found out that it tighten with each pull. He began thinking back on how he had ended here.
There was that cute little green-eyed human that he had taken from a pitiful newbie.
They left the Coven in the human’s car for his house. Once they went through the front door, their mouths and hands and bodies went crazy as they blindly walked throughout the places to only fall, the redheaded vampire going backwards with the little brunet landing on top of him. Then as his fingers ran through the silky black hair, something very strange happen.
The little one’s hair fell off to reveal a head full of steel grey that was cut in shabby layers that went almost down to the human’s shoulders.
“Finally up, Cherry-pop?” Cole turned almost round to find the little deceiver sitting at a folding table, eating out of black carton.
“Am I disturbing your lunch, Rochelle?” He growled out the name like it had really pained him to say it.
It had to be a Rochelle. There was only one kind of human that would dare to try capture a vampire, instead of just killing him at his most weakest. And that was the infamous Rochelle family.
“Nah, just got hungry while I was waiting for you to wake up.” He abandoned his meal and moved away from the table with a black remote in his hand.
Sasha crunched down just a few safe feet away and stared at the glaring vampire with his steel blues hidden behind a thick black frame eye-glasses.
“You do know that you have to kill me cause when I do, I will rip your deceiving little -AHHH!” A electrifying pain of shock traveled throughout Cole’s body, causing him to fall back in jerky convulsions.
As suddenly it came, it was gone twice as quickly. He laid there on the floor wit his hand on his still bare muscle thick chest, thinking that his heart had just return to life.
“My brother, Chad was always thinking.” His amber eyes rolled to the outermost part of his eyelids to glare death at the soon-to-be very dead human that was looking at the black remote in his hands.
“Always trying out ways to get answers from the more un-cooperating, most dangerous of people.” He held out the little gizmo and pointed at it. “This is for those that don’t all that easily.”
The little shit had to smile about it.
“So what are your questions then?” So I could break out of here and rip you apart!
“I want to know something about a vamp that has a chipped right fang that preys on teenage girls.”
He shrugged his shoulders and muttered that he didn’t know any of the sort. Two minutes later, he was back on the floor, shaking very controllably like a Chihuahua in the middle of a snow storm.
“I’ll say it again, since it would seem that you are a little hard of hearing, Cherry-pop. I want to know something about a vamp with chipped right fang and that preys on teenage girls.” The vampire was about to say something very rude to the Rochelle bastard but he quickly changed his mind when he saw that thumb hovering over the little button that gives out the very shocking pain.
Pain bad. Pain very bad.
“His name is Scarlet. He lives in an abandon church over on Nottingham.” Then just be cheeky, he added. “You want me to draw you a map, you little insect?” With a mocking helpful tone in his voice.
Then the little grey-haired bastard cocked his head to the side with his eyes narrowed in a thought.
“No.” He stood up and placed the black remote back on the table before heading over to a set of wooden stairs that lead up to a door.
“Ki will let you go in a minute.” Then Sasha stopped walking just at the foot of the stairs and turned only his upper body back. “I’ll wait awhile, if I were you before getting out of here. It’s only three o’clock in the afternoon and there isn’t a cloud in sight.”
Then he went up the stairs and left the vampire to sulk by himself in the big empty cellar.
***
He didn‘t kill the little water demon but did let it known how he felt about how he was being treated by his bastard of a master as he was led out of the room and into the office floor of the building.
“Would you like me to remove the implant before you leave?” The yellow tanned skinned man that seems to like to cross dress since he was wearing a short yellow Chinese floral dress with skin tight black leggings asked the very irritated vampire.
Rubbing his sore eyes with the heel of his palm, Cole just nodded and followed the little cross-dresser to a room where the little shit was pulling out a series of weapons, mostly sliver stakes, lying them on an oak table. Not acknowledging the presences of the two demons.
“Please sit here and I’ll get the tools.” Sang Ki bowed slightly before leaving the room.
“Try to kill me and I’ll stake you before you even move.” Sasha spoke without halting a small bit in his task or looking at the vamp.
The cherry-haired vamp didn’t know why he asked what he was going to ask the little shit the second it came out of his mouth.
“Are you going to try killing Scarlet in his own home?”
It had to be out of curiosity cause he didn’t really care if the human knew that he was going on a suicidal mission.
The grey-haired man just said “Yup.” as he lined the inside of his black coat with the silver stakes.
“Just beside yourself?” Again out of curiosity, not because of a small thought that he was at one point attentive to the man before him, even though at the time he had short black hair and green eyes and looked very, very good in black leather and sparkles but now he felt just a little entranced about the way that little human’s tested out the feel of the stake-lined coat on his thin body by twisting and bending.
Not because of that at all.
“Not that you care but do you see anyone else gearing up?” The blue eyed man removed his glasses and finally looking at the vampire.
The determination and the strength in those steel blue eyes almost threw Cole back. They were the eyes of a true demon killer but he could see just a little glimmer of pain and sadness in those eyes.
Sang Ki had return with a small box in hand with surgical tools and gloves and bandages inside. He nearly laughed at the obvious worry that was pouring out of the sub-demon as he and his boss continue to stare at each other.
Dear Gods! He doesn’t know what he was bout to step into. The blue-haired demon thought as he broke the silence in the room by clearing his throat and asked the vampire to hold out his arm as he prepared for the electric shock implant removal.
“Later.” Sasha gave a parting salute and left the room and then the building itself.
For over twenty minutes of cutting, digging in silver flesh and then flesh sewing and bandaging, the two demons were quiet. Each to his own thoughts.
“I got a coat and hat that you can borrow. I am sure that they will successful protect you from the sun.” The water sprite spoke as he pulled of his gloves with a snap.
Cole just gave a chuckle and said that they would do just fine.

Always on a hunt such as this one, Sasha’s heart pounded loudly in his throat as he moved as silent as he could in the dark building with a stake in hand.
Out of the four Rochelle children, the youngest brother wasn’t really that thrilled about going on a mission like this. That was the reason why, he preferred look-out duty while his more suited siblings did the hard work.
It was much safer in the black surveillance van with very nice alarm system.
The door had to squeaked so loud as it was shoved open to reveal a room that must have been an office since there was a filing cabinet still in the room. No vampire.
Oh darn.
He sighed in a small mixture of relief and frustration but almost screamed when a hand touched his shoulder.
“Shush.” Cole quickly covered the demon hunter’s mouth and pressed his own lips with his index finger.
“He’s in the basement. I could smell him from here.” He removed his hand and inwardly laughed at how cute the little human looked with his eyes open wide and breathing harshly in and out of his mouth.
Just like little frighten grey mouse.
The cherry-haired vampire was quickly showed of how strong and fast said little mouse was when he was thrown onto a wall with a stake pointed up in his neck.
“What are you doing here and is that my dad’s coat?” Sang Ki is so going to die when he gets home!
“Helping you and I needed something to protect myself from the sun.” He answered like Sasha was the insane one and he was the sane one.
With a low growl, the detective step back and waited for the vampire to led the way to Scarlet’s lair.
***
There were no doors that blocked the way to the church’s basement as the two men walked in the darken hallway. Cole moved normally since he could see better in the dark then Rochelle so to avoid being stabbed in the back, more accidentally then on purpose he made the human to walk in the front.
“You know for a Rochelle, you don’t look too bad.” He whispered, enjoying how the little shit jumped.
“Don’t” He stopped to turn around at the smiling vampire.
“Don’t what?” The amber eyed un-dead man faked innocence, knowing full well what the Rochelle bastard meant.
In a harsh whisper, he replied. “Don’t talk. He might hear us.”
“He already knows that we are here, so I doubt that talking would hurt us even more.” He tapped the human’s nose.
Sasha roughly pushed the ignoring finger away but before he could even think of a retort for the annoying once dead man, something just grabbed him out of the darkness and he went flying backwards before eventually hitting a very solid wall.
“Rochelle…” A voice hissed as a pair red glowing eyes stared malicious into very terrified steel blue eyes. A talon-like hand, cold as ice kept his neck pinned to the wall as a heavy body pinned the rest of the detective’s body.
“Scarlet, I presume.” For a slight moment a body on the floor had caught his eye.
A dead girl with her clothes ripped to shreds in the middle of bare mattress bed.
Okay, clearly he has been fed so odds how, Mr. Pissed Vampire was just going either snap Sasha’s neck like a twig or something more painful.
“Yes. Glad to know that I am a Rochelle’s radar since the slayers’ haven’t been able to notice that I have been for months already.” He moved in closer to whisper in the man’s ear. “I ate a quite of few of them too.”
He must be so proud of himself.
“There still a demand for Rochelle’s heads, even though there are only nine left in the entire country. “ A clawed finger slid slowly down a pale cheek, leaving a thin trail of blood in its wake.
“Someone sure does hate you, little Rochelle.” The red-eyed vampire gave a toothy grin, proving the theory that he did, in fact, had a chipped fang on the right side.
“Everyone hates me.” Finally finding his voice after being scared out of his wits, he was feeling bold enough to sneer back at the vamp.
“True. It must be hard to be the only human that was truly hated by both sides.” He chuckle darkly.
The mention of his family and how very likable the name ‘Rochelle’ was, was the very thing that was needed to remind the grey-haired man why he was in the church in the first place. He raised up his stake but the vamp was quicker and slammed his hand hard against the wall behind him, and again to force that very hand to drop the silver weapon.
“Gah!” Sasha cried out in both in pain and in frustration as the stronger being just tsked at him like he was a bad little child that just did something wrong.
“You know, I like feasting on little girls because they seem so innocent and pure but I’m always so curious on how Rochelle blood taste like.” Scarlet forced the man to tilted his head to the side, just enough to expose his bare neck.
Sasha gulped and close his eyes as he felt the tip of sharp fangs touching his neck.
“Now, I get to have my-” There was a sudden explosion of dust and Poor Sasha was dropped to the ground, covered in vampire dust.
With a hand worriedly touching his neck, Sasha breathed heavily as he tried to figure out how the vampire just suddenly turned to dust before sinking his teeth in him.
A very familiar, very welcome laugh echoed throughout the room as steel blue eyes looked up to see Cherry-pop twirling around a silver stake in his hand.
“Now I prefer that thanks with deeps bows and feet kissing.” Cole beamed down at the detective.
Sasha just smiled back and laughed at the amber-eyed vampire’s childlike antics.
The end of Case one.
Next is the case of the Shadow of Fear.
