Chapter 3

NEXT CHAPTER (HAHAHA YES)

Rosette heard a knock on her door. She had her light on so they knew she was awake and not sleeping like she had told her mother. But she had also told her mother to leave her to be alone.
"Rosette? It's me."
"Come in."
She sat up in her bed as Grant opened the door. He put a fake smile on for her.
"Hey, how are you feeling?"
"Better thanks. I wasn't really hurting but..."
He shut her door, setting the mug in her hands. He noticed her attire. She was wearing a thin pink sleeveless shirt that hugged her chest. He couldn't really tell what she was wearing under the covers, except for the small fabric that peeked out. He guessed she was wearing her favourite blue short shorts with a turtle on the bum.
"Thanks."
He nodded and sat in front of her. He watched her take a sip and she cringed as the liquid touched her lips. He pulled her hands back away from her face.
"It's hot silly. Be careful."
"Yeah."
She put the cup on the dresser next to her. She sighed, taking in a deep breath lowering her head. Grant moved closer to her. He reached out and pulled her head back up and stared into her eyes.
"Something is the matter isn't it? What is it?"
He looked at her with worried eyes, she could clearly see it. She couldn't help but look sadly back at him. When he saw this, he pulled her into his arms and hugged her.
"You can tell me anything, you know that. What's bothering you?"
"I-I-I don't k-know."
She brought her hand up to hold on to his arm that was around her neck. He was pulling her into his chest. She turned her face and hid it in his chest. He felt her breath hitch and his shirt became wet in one spot. He let go of her and brought her face up.
"Rosette, what is it?"
"I don't know what's wrong, Grant. I don't know how to explain it."
She had tears running down her reddened cheeks. Grant wiped them away with his thumb as her breath hitched again.
"Explain how you feel. I'm sure something doesn't feel right to you, right?"
He pulled her back again, as her head laid in the crook of his neck.
"Well."
She sniffled.
"I'm not sure, but I think I feel like something’s growing inside me."
She stopped to think about that sentence before he pushed her away and stared straight into her face.
"I don't mean in pregnant!"
He seemed to calm down a bit and she went on.
"I feels like, it could control my actions, maybe the way I think, the way I feel."
She looked like she was going to cry again. Grant started to rub her arms.
"It's okay. Don't forget I'll always be here. It this problem or feeling get worse, you can always come to me okay?"
She hesitated for a second but then nodded.
"Okay. Well, I'm going to leave you alone now, but if you need anything, I'll be up in my room okay?"
"Okay."
She smiled slightly and he got off the bed and walked to the door.
"Grant!"
"Uh huh?"
"Thanks, for the soup."
She added. He smiled.
"No problem. Just be sure to get some rest little sister."
He wagged a finger at her and shut her door.
'Hmm...He's right. Time to get some rest.'
Rosette rose from her bed and turned off the light and climbed back into bed to gain a well deserved rest.
