EPISODE 3
“It feel so good to be home.” Brian threw himself on his bed. Staring up at the ceiling. He wanted to call everyone and let them know that he was home but he felt like he needed a break. So he lay there staring and wondering. He was really mean to Liam two days ago. He knew that Liam was sensitive. Brian began to worry. He got up from the bed and dug in his back pocket. He pulled out his cell phone and he began to dial.
“Hey thanks for calling but I’m busy so leave me a message.” BEEP.
“Hey Liam it’s me Brian. I’m calling to see if you’re okay. So call me back I guess and let me know what’s up.” Brian hung up the phone. He threw himself back on the bed and stared at the ceiling again.
“Welcome to Barnes and Nobles how may I help you?” Amanda asked the woman.
“Well I was wondering if you have any VC Andrew books.”
“Give me one second while I check our system.” Amanda typed. “Yes we do she will be in Mystery/Thriller. That’s to your right.”
“Thank you so much.” The woman said.
“No problem have a wonderful day.” Amanda mad her way to the Horror section with books in hand. She was going to put the books back on the shelves. She was putting the books back when one fell out of her hand. Just then someone picked the book up and handed it back to Amanda.
“Thank you.” She said as she looked up from bending.
“You’re welcome.” Melinda said. Amanda looked at her with disgust.
“What are you doing here?” Amanda began to walk away not even caring to get an answer. Melinda followed her.
“I’m here to ask you to come home already. We can work this out.”
“What home?” Amanda asked her as she continued to walk.
“With me and mom. That home Amanda.” Amanda stopped.
“Mom? I have no mom. I have a woman that lied to me about where I came from.”
“She had a good reason to.” Amanda now turned around to face her.
“Oh really? Did you have a good reason to? I dropped out of school to help you around the house. I got fired from that job cause I stole stuff we needed. I became something I didn’t want to become. All to help someone that wasn’t even my family.” Amanda began to walk away again.
“I am so sorry for lying to you. Mom asked me to keep it a secret. She wanted to tell you herself when the time was right.”
“So the time was right at my party in front of everyone?” Amanda talked calmly. As much as she wanted to scream and curse she knew she was at work.
“No that wasn’t the right time. I never expected for her to do that I swear.” Melinda tried so hard to get Amanda to see that she needed to come home.
“Well it was great seeing you Melinda. I wish you a great life.” Amanda walked over to a customer and asked the man if he needed help. Melinda stood there watching Amanda help the man. She turned back around and made her way out the store.
David stood there at the entrance to his father’s door. His father had arrived back home. David was so scared to knock. He hadn’t seen his father for a whole month and for that month he needed his dad. The death of Derrick was hard on him and now the death of his baby had him on edge. There are days when David feels like being left alone. David needed someone that he could truly open up to at this moment in his life. David knocked on the door. He waited for his dad to answer. His palms were sweating and he was shaking. He knocked again. There was no answer. David took out his cell phone and he dialed his dad’s house phone. He listened as the phone rang in his ear.
“You have reached my voicemail leave a message.” BEEP. But there was something different about the voicemail. The voice wasn’t his fathers. He hung up the phone and then he dialed his dad’s cell.
“Sorry but the number you have dialed is currently not in service at this moment.” David took the phone off his ear and he looked at it.
“What the hell is going on?” David stood there at the door and stared at it.
Brian woke up from his nap. He wiped his eyes and he looked around. He forgot that he was home. He got up from the bed and made his way to the bathroom. He turned on the bathroom light and he made his way to the sink to wash his face. H turned on the faucet and there blood poured out. Brian looked at the blood pouring from the faucet. Then he felt it dripping down his arm. He looked down at his wrist and the blood poured out from the cut. He began to get frantic. He looked at himself in the mirror and there was the woman.
“You think it’s over? It has only begun.” She said with her evil smile on her face. Brian jumped up from his bed. He looked down at his wrist but everything was fine.
“It was all a dream. Thank God.” Brian grabbed his cell phone to see if he had any missed calls. There was only one and it was from Kimberly. He flipped his phone open and instead of calling her back he called Liam instead. Once again he got the voicemail.
“Listen Liam I want to apologize to you bout the other day. I had a talk with Amanda and she made me see that I shouldn’t be mad at you cause we have a bond. We need to talk so please call me back. Later.” Brian hung up the phone. “Damn Liam I hope you’re okay.”
Theresa was at work folding the clothes. She placed the jeans back on the shelf and then she made her way to the breakroom to get something to drink. She reached the entrance to the door when she heard people talking.
“She is a psycho. Yesterday she told me her name was Monica and that she wanted to see me at night.” One guy said.
“Yeah she told me that she hated her boyfriend cause he is bad in bed and that she wanted to give me a test drive.” The other guy said.
“Monica?” She said to herself.
“Theresa needs help man serious help.” Theresa turned back around and made her way back to the front of the store.
The sun was nowhere in sight in New York as the clouds blocked it. The people were all out doing some last minute shopping for the New Year. People were purchasing party supplies and hats. The people of New York were ready for the New Year. While some people shopped one man was planning to get what he wanted. He had his eye set on one thing. The joy of a young woman. There he sat at his computer desk on AOL typing to someone.
BLINGGIRL06: Yeah I’m 17. How old are you?
LYONGER: I’m also 17. I want to meet you. You’re really pretty.
BLINGGIRL06: Thank you. What are you doing on New Year’s?
LYONGER: Nothing at all sexy. What are you doing?
BLINGGIRL06: I’m coming to chill with you and ring in the New Year with a bang. Sounds good to you?
LYONGER: You know it does shortie. So hit me up on New Years eve in the morning I’ll be on. We can arrange something then.
BLINGGIRL06: Sounds good. So later.
LYONGER: Take care beautiful.
The man got up from the chair and made his way to his closet. He fumbled with his clothes in hope to find what he was looking for.
“There you go my little friend.” He pulled out a gag. He held it up by its leather strap and stared at the ball on the end. “My trusty little friend. I hate to hear them scream.” The man swung the gag around and threw it on his bed.
