Ch. 3
Chapter 3: The Truth Is Revealed
When we arrived at the docks it was already 10:50, so we gave our tickets to the man and he showed us to our rooms. Our rooms were 3 of the 4 best rooms on the whole ship, only because we were the winning coules of the auction. The first room we stopped at was Shawn's and Jandy's room, when we went inside to look around at their room we noticed that all the furniture and the carpet was black in color and then the rest of us bid them good-day and went to Jon's and Lauren's room which was 3 doors down, Shawn's and Jandy's room number was 12a which made Jonathan's and Lauren's 12d, when we stepped into their room it was entirely done in a royal purple color then Samuel and I bid them good-day and left for our room.
When we arrived at our room on the second floor, we noticed that there was only about 3 other rooms on that floor because the last 2 rooms of the 4 best rooms that were by far better than the first 2 rooms happened to be the only two left of the 4 best rooms so they gave one of them to the most expensive couple that bid the highest amount at the auction.
Our room number was 14a. When we went inside to look around, our room was entirely done in a ruby red color. The doors to the bedroom were french doors surrounded by a gold trim. The livingroom had a wide screen t.v. with 200 different channels, a couch, a loveseat, and a coffee table, it also had a small refrigerator. The bathroom was of a fairly good size and had a shower in the left corner and a jacuzzi/hot tub in the right corner, it had 2 sinks and a towel rack next to the shower for the towels.
In the bedroom there was a cherry wood vanity and next to it was a doorway that lead to the closet/dressing room. On the other side of the room were double french doors that lead onto the balcony that overlooked the port bow of the ship with the vast ocean beyond. The bed was a king sized 4 poster bed with curtains that were made of a ruby red kind of see through material. As a matter of fact we realized that all the rooms were just like ours except that the last 2 best bedrooms were slightly bigger.
As soon as we got everything unpacked I made note of the things I was missing that was in the suitcase that didn't arrive at the airport. When I was done with my list Samuel and I set off for the different stores on the ship. The first store we stopped at was the store that sold swimming suits, as I was looking around the store I spotted a white hawaiian floral print bikini and went to try it on, when I came out of the dressing room to show Samuel he just stared at me and nodded letting me know he liked it and that it looked good on me.
One other swimming suit caught my eye it was a bikini also but it was black with blood red stripes down the side. When I came out Samuel said that it fit me great too. Both swimming suits had wrap arounds with them. When I had settled with those two Samuel insisted on getting them for me and then we left the store. The next store we stopped at sold formal dresses and evening gowns. As I pulled a few dresses off the shelves I went back into the dressing room to try them on.
When I came out of the dressing room and showed Samuel a particular crimson red dress that came down to mid-thigh, he just looked me over and smiled. A few minutes later I came out wearing a black dress that came down to my ankles, he told me that I looked very beautiful in it. While I was changing into the next dress, the clerk mentioned to Samuel that he was very lucky to have a girl like me.
The dress I was wearing this time was a floor length dress that was white and embroidered with light shimmering blue almost silver circles along the top. Samuel stood there with his mouth hung open, he then managed a statement that shocked me at first, he said that I looked absolutely ravishing in it. While we were there I picked up three pairs of white gloves that came up to my elbows to go with my dresses. The whole time we were there he wouldn't let me see the price tag and once again insisted that he would buy all the things I needed.
Occasionally I would see him glance at the size of one of the dresses for some reason but I didn't know what for. The last store we stopped at was the shoe store where he purchased me three pairs of high heeled shoes a black, a white, and a crimson red pair so that they would match my dresses. When we were done it was already 1:00 p.m. We then went back to our room to rest for a few minutes before going to the pool with Lauren and the others at 3:00 p.m.
When 3:00 p.m. rolled around we left and met the others at the pool like we were told to do. When we got there the others were already in the pool, I figured that they got there at around 2:55 p.m. since they were already in the pool. When they had noticed that we had arrived they asked if we would join them in the pool. We declined because we were going to get into the jacuzzi/hot tub/spa first. Lauren and the others just stared at each other with smiles plastered on their faces. Then they said "ok" and hoped that we would join them soon and we walked off towards the spa area. About half an hour later Samuel and I came out and Samuel joined the others in the pool.
And when I had finished putting suntan oil on my arms, legs, and my face, I called to Samuel, who was in the pool, if he would rub some on my back for me, he agreed and smiled. After I was finished putting on my suntan oil I joined the others in the pool. Once everybody was in the pool, which was Samuel, me, Lauren, Jon, Shawn, and Jandy, and two other people, played a game or two of water volleyball. The idea of the game was not to let the beachball hit the water.
On the first team was Samuel, me, Lauren, and Jon. On the second team was Shawn, Jandy, and another couple and their names were Phillip and Leslie and they had room 14b which was the last of the 4 best rooms which was right next to Samuel's and mine. The girls were to sit on the guys shoulders and try to hit the ball without falling over into the water. As I climbed onto Samuel's shoulders I could feel his muscles brush against my legs, I felt as if I was going to melt!
When I was situated on his shoulders I suddenly felt a pair of warm hands embrace me so that I woudn't fall. When we were done swimming it was about 6:00 p.m., then we all dried off and went to our rooms to get ready for the ball they were holding in the ballroom tonight. When Samuel and I got up to our room, I went to the closet and took down the white dress with the embroidered light shimmering blue almost silver circles at the top, my white high heeled shoes then went over to my dresser and took out the needed undergarments and one pair of my white gloves and went to get dressed.
Samuel was already dressed, he was wearing an all white tuxedo and a white tie. When I came out of the room Samuel was trying to tie his tie, when he seemed to give up on the whole thing, I offered to help him and I tied it for him. When I was finished tieing his bow tie he looked at me with a look of curiousity on his face as to were I learned how to tie bow ties and I quickly told him that I learned from my dad. When he had finally got a good look at me and what I was wearing his eyes widened and he seemed to be lost for words.
He leaned in and kissed me softly on the lips, once we parted we left or we'd be late. When we arrived Lauren and the others were already at a table waitng for us. When we reached the table and had greeted everyone Lauren introduced us to Phillip and Leslie who were engaged and getting married on the cruise, they were the same couple that played water volleyball game with us. No sooner than the music had started Samuel came over from where he was standing and talking to Shawn, Phillip, and Jon and he asked me to dance, I agreed to his offer, and he lead me onto the dance floor, and we started to waltz. Before I knew it a large crowd had gathered around us, I felt as if I was dancing amongst the stars as if I was on a cloud.
When the song was over there was a mutlitude of applause. Throughout the entire night we danced. During the middle of the fifth song Samuel and I stepped outside for a breath of air. It was about 8:30 p.m. when we got outside I leaned up against his shoulder and sighed, he then wrapped his strong arm around my waist. After a few minutes of silence I looked up at Samuel and asked him if I could tell him about something, he said "yes" and I told him.
I then turned and faced him, our eyes meeting. He lifted my chin towards him and he leaned in and kissed me softly, then a deep passionate kiss. Suddenly Samuel broke our kiss and stared down at me as the moonlight cascaded over my face, and he commented that he was very lucky indeed to have a girl like me. I blushed slightly and he pulled me into a strong embrace. He then asked me to come and live with him at Ft. Sill, and without a second thought I said "yes". About half an hour past while we were outside and it was already 9:00 p.m. and the ball ended at 12:00 a.m. so we decided to go back inside. Once inside we sat down with the others, who were getting ready to eat, and ordered ourselves a steak and baked potato the others placed their orders to the waiter and he left.
When he was out of sight Lauren and the others looked at me and Samuel, and then suddenly bombarded us with thousands of questions. When they had got what they wanted out of us they smiled and said that they knew it would happen sooner or later and what they meant by that I didn't know. When our dinner arrived we ate in silence except for Lauren and Leslie talking about what time and day Leslie was getting married. When we were finished with dinner it was 10:00 p.m. So Samuel and I along with the others danced for the remaining 2 hours. At 12:00 a.m. the ball ended and we said goodbye to Lauren and the others and made our way up to our room hand in hand fingers interlocked and smiling. When we got up to our room and stepped inside we immediately changed into our night clothes and Samuel went and sat on the loveseat to pick out a movie for us to watch.
The movie he picked out was Romeo and Juliet. When the movie was about to start Samuel called for me and I came back from the bathroom where I was brushing my teeth and joined him on the loveseat. When I was situated I curled up next to him with his arm around me and we watched the movie together. When the movie was over I was in tears because it was so sad. Samuel comforted me and gently brushed my tears away. It was 2:00 a.m. when the movie was over so I decided to go to bed and Samuel was going to stay up for a little bit more.
I said goodnight to him and climbed into bed as he kissed me gently and left the room, closing the doors behind him. When the doors were closed I could hear him in the livingroom. About an hour later I was woken up by him crawling in bed beside me and wrapping his arms around my waist spooning me against his chest. I awoke the next morning at around 9:30 a.m. and put my robe on and went into the livingroom. When I got in there I noticed that Samuel had unfolded the bed and was still napping so I climbed into the bed next to him and quietly turned on the television. As soon as I had turned on the t.v. Samuel turned over onto his side and opened his eyes. When he opened his eyes and had finally noticed that I was there he wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me towards his body and kissed me gently.
We watched t.v. until about 10:30 a.m. and then decided to order roomservice. About 15 minutes later our breakfast arrived and we ate; we were done eating at about 11:00 a.m. and decided to go parasailing when we got to the Bahamas. We quickly went to take a shower and change. I was wearing my crimson swimming suit underneath my red sundress. He was wearing his boardshorts and a white t-shirt. It was about 11:30 a.m. by then so we folded up the bed and sat down to watch t.v. for a while.
