            The voice
on the phone spoke with that of a alteration to it
from something I wasn’t knowledgeable in but I knew it wasn’t their real voice.

            “I am the
one that kidnapped you and also the one that is offering you the only way
you’re going to leave where you are alive.”

            “Is that a
fact? Then it would disappoint you to know all but one of your men here are
dead.” I said calmly.

            The person
only laughed at me which irritated me further then I was already with the
current situation and recent events.

            “Unlike the
man you must have taken the phone off I’m not a fool. The house is rigged with
very powerful explosives that will take an eighty mile radius” he laughed
again.

            “Obviously
I knew it was quite possible one of your kind might
slaughter my men, of course I never expected it to be two lowly demons such as
yourselves.”

            I squeezed
the phone in my hand slightly as my irritation grew.

            “Foolish
human, what is it you want us to do?” I asked angrily.

            The voice
only laughed more at me, it was beginning to seem they were all idiots either
smiled too much or had the traits of a hyena.

            “Well the
men there had no idea what I really want it’s a simple enough task for you. I
want you to protect and keep an eye on my daughter.”

            “You went
through all this for a babysitter!?!” I shouted angrily.

            “It is more
complicated then that, nobody on my staff knows it nor do I want them to. My
daughter is half demon, so who better then to watch over her.” He said sounding
more serious even with the voice changer.

            “Ah so you
want us to baby sit why?”

            “She is
going to a military training facility in the middle of nowhere as they say. She
lacks the ability to control her…” he paused “unique talents. You will be in
charge of taking care of that as well.”

            “Ah so all
in all you want us to raise your child for you?”

            “No! I want
you to help her so she can live the life of a human.” He shouted.

            “This
should be interesting then shouldn’t it?”

            “Will you
do it then?”

            “I’ll talk
it over with the wife.” I replied sarcastically.

            I wasn’t at
all sure if he was bluffing about the explosives but in my experience humans
were actually crazy and stupid enough to do things like that. I didn’t want to
do it but it seemed like we were going to have no choice in the matter. It was
going to be do it or get hunted till every last one of
them were dead but it wouldn’t be done without a price.

            “Honey, he
wants us to baby sit his child while she goes to school.” I spoke in demonic.

            “That
sounds like fun, he killed off so many people for something that stupid?” she
said angrily in the same language.

            “No, not
just for that he wants his half breed daughter to learn to control her power
while she is there getting her education so she can live like a human.”

            “Tell him
yes I’m rather curious about this now.” Kida replied.

            “Fine, you
have an accord.” I said to the man on the phone.

            “Then stay
in that house, feel free to move to any room you’d like for your rest we will
be there tomorrow morning.” The man said before hanging up.

            Finally
having no need to remain calm I crushed the phone in my hand and dropped the
pieces on the floor next to the still curled up man on the floor.

            “Come, let’s
find a not so messy room and try to get some rest.” Kida said gently taking me
by the hand and walking me out the door.
