Chapter 3
---------------------------------------------
"Taray? Your 21, you cannot keep this tomboyish behavior up."
Taray threw her hands over her head in a mocked surprised _expression
"oh your right mother I must be crazy to think I can keep protecting my family with my hands instead I should open my legs and give up the good name me and cache have worked so hard for!?'
Sheree rose from the fire and walked toward Taray.
'I suppose you forgot who taught you to use your hands'
Sheree was face to face with her daughter and she knew she could not let Taray see the doubt in her eyes or this would be the end of the argument.
'Id never forget what you taught me mother why would you ask me something like that'
Taray stepped back from her mother fearing she was standing on thin ice.
'You should have a little more respect for me and what Ive been through raising you and your brother, I am not asking you to open your legs to the entire town im asking you to take a husband so that you do not turn out like me I want you to have a life where you don't have to struggle, where you can keep……'
Tarays mouth feel open was her mother going to cry? Sherees eyes where beginning to fill but she was not going to hide this she was hoping her daughter would learn from her mistakes. Taray stepped back toward her mother and reached out to touch her arm.
Sheree grabbed Tarays hand and pulled her toward her while twisting Tarays arm around her back. Taray tried the counter her mother buy dropping her weight to her right side but her mother already had her bent over the table.
Sheree leaned over Taray so that she was able to talk in her ear.
"Where you can keep a husband, Taray no man wants a woman who can challenge him. Your father sure didn't, and that's why I taught Cache everything I knew he was the man of the family, yet I never thought to stop him from teaching you, that's the same mistake my mother made, then again I wasn't as beautiful as you have turned out to be so there wasn't much of a choice '
Sheree let her grip loosen from Tarays she wiped her face as she turned to go to her room. Tears didn't change anything they sure didn't stop Cache and Tarays father from leaving. And she knew they wouldnt stop her stubborn daughter from making the same mistake she did. Cache would have to talk to his sister he always could convince her for sheree.

The night was calm and quiet. Sashe had evaded the castle unseen, well at least till she was over the wall she was sure a passerby got more than a good look at her unmentionables as she gathered her cloak after the drop over the side of the wall be the passer by continued without incident. Sashe had to keep her sword with her but it would be a little hard to hide wearing the dress she had slipped out of Iyu's closet, it was a deep red with more than enough clevage showing, it flowed to her ankles with extra fabric in the rear to trail along behind her as she walked. She was beginning to regret not checking the dress before snatching it to her room, it was a little late to sneak back once she got the dress so it was forward on from there this was going to be a night, how was she suppose to slip in and out with this dress on, more prevalent how was she suppose to pick a fight in this.
She lost the battle to take her sword with her dress there was no pulling it off without being the laughing stock of whatever pub she decided to attend. The thought of surprising some drunk man with her skills brought a smirk to her lips but Sashe was sure it would bring much unneeded light to the kings unruly daughter. She would have a couple of drinks and be done with this shenanigan. She had had a change of heart; maybe it was this damn whorish dressing. Dunns mouth would be on the floor if he caught a glimps of me right now, she thought as she slid her dagger between her breasts and stuffed her belongings in a bush near the wall. Sashe began to walk toward town cursing Iyus shoes as she stumbled over a rock she almost fell but caught herself by wrapping her arm around a tree that would of done more than ruin her face if she had hit it full force.
'Are you ok?'
Sashe jumped as she turned to face the direction the voice came from.
'Oh im fine I just lost my way. …While I was headed to town.'
Sashe yelled blushing as if she had been caught doing something forbidden.
'its unusual for a woman like you to be out this late without a man to escort you'
Sashe felt her heart speed up and took a step forward to give the stranger a piece of her mind when she noticed that the although dressed in a mans tunic and trousers was undeniable a woman, a very beautiful one at that but why was she dressed like that.
'And what makes me need a man when your out here alone' Sashe barked lowering her voice as she completed her sentence noticing how the woman looked around as if Sashe was disturding someone near by.
'I am a little different from you; I can protect myself from the trees if they decide to attack unlike yourself.
Sashe caught the woman smirk as she passed her and continued to follow the path that led into town.
'Wait'
Sashe yelled toward the woman as she slowly tried to walk toward the woman without looking out of place in the cursed hills she wore. The woman turned with a blank face.
'Why are you dressed in those clothes?' Sashe caught the woman roll her eyes even before she finished her sentence.
'You wouldn't understand…. where are you coming from you said you where on you way to town why have you traveled so late into the night? '
Sashe was caught off guard with the sudden question from the woman.
'Oh...Im from up north I lost my companion on the trip and I had no choice but to continue'
Sashe averted her eyes as she sighed smiling inside at her quick lie.
'Well I can show you where town is if you wouldn't mind leaving the tree-' The woman had that damn smirk on her face again
'Enough with the tree bit already! Which way is it to town?'
Sashe cut her off as she came up beside her signaling the woman to continue walking.

God it was dark. Iyu thought as she followed a path that led away from where she had climbed over the wall. She was beginning to wish she hadn't followed Sashe out of the security of the castle walls she had been walking for some time and she was starting to become aware of how alone she actually was. She had no weapon with her not that she would have known how to use it in the first place, and she was cold. Why did Sashe want to leave the security of there home for this the dark and lonely woods?
Iyu knew that this was nothing new for Sashe being that she was always hearing Dunn rave about her irresponsible sister sneaking to town and getting into heaps of trouble, but this was new to her and maybe she should of told Sashe that she wanted to come. She believed Sashe would have taken her. When they where small Sashe would always try to persuade Iyu to come along on her adventures, Sashe eventually stopped asking as they got older but Iyu could not think of a reason why Sashe would not be happy to have her sister along.
Iyu was pulled from her thoughts as she heard her sisters’ voice ahead. Iyu snuck up behind a tree to glimpse at what had made her sister yell. She was standing beside a long haired man who Iyu could only see the back of, they began to walk along the path and Iyu smile at the relief of them being so close and her not being alone in this godforsaken forest, she quietly followed a short distance behind her sister and the man she was walking with. Had Sashe come to meet a man out here in the woods? Iyu was determined to find out even if it meant to stay behind in the shadows. Alone.

'When will I be able to marry her father? ' Sidney asked as he walked into the room.
He knew why the king of Solace had come to his fathers castle and he was quite delighted that the time had finally come he had had his eye on Sashe since child hood and it had been a long wait for her to come of age. They where not promised but he knew that this was a ally the east needed, and what better way to unite kingdoms than to betroth the eldest kin.
'She is not ready to marry Sidney.' Arthur turned toward his son and smiled he had grown into a strong young man. His completion mirroring his mothers; more so than his fathers leaving him with a bronze skin color.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Where was Sashe? Dunn had come from talking to the king and hearing of king Pauls, disappointment at Sashes stubbornness. Sashe was lucky her father was giving her time to 'think'. They needed the alliance to the east and the prince was set on Sashe. The kings eldest daughter and not Iyu. As that thought passed threw Dunns' head he turned toward Iyu's room, oddly enough he had not caught a glimpse of her in the library and that was odder than Sashe being missing. Dunn knocked on the room door, hoping Sashe was in there he did not feel like looking for her tonight he had just wanted to get some rest. He had too much to think about since the king had tasked him with this new mission that in a way relieved him yet put extra burden on his shoulders. Dunn leaned on the doorframe as he knocked again, how was he going to find someone to look after Sashe he could barely do it himself and he knew of no one else who would put up with her stubbornness even with the kings pay. He sighed as he cracked Iyu's door open.
'Iyu are you in?'
Dunn pushed the door open after he got no answer.
This was a bit weird he had never lost track of Iyu, he chuckled as he wondered what he did to deserve this just when thee king changes his job to the easiest in years. To watch over his youngest daughter she now disappears. Tthis has to be a joke' he thought as he walked toward the balcony. Just as he stepped on the balcony he heard a muffled cry he looked over toward Sashes balcony to catch a glimpse of a figure fumbling on the ground. He smiled as he thought of a way too cut Sashe off before she hit the wall but his heart almost stopped as he took notice of the girls dress
'That's Iyu!"
Dunn whispered to himself, as he stood frozen watching the girl run across the yard.
