Some time together

Author Note: Wow! It's been practically forever but I finally have a 3rd chapter out. I've been so busy with work and on top of that after I finished the second chapter of Red and the Wolf I had gotten a really bad case of Writer's block. And then my mom was all over me about it which wasn't making it easy. So enjoy this chapter guys. You deserved it. I swear on my flesh and blood that the next chapter will be out in a few days. Or if my internet allows it. Enjoy!

Disclaimer: No I did not write the original little red riding hood story. But since the original writer died over 50 years ago the story is public for anyone to re-write without having to deal with copywrite infringement. I hope.

Deep in the darkness of the woods, voices were heard. It was a man and a woman conversing in low voices.

"Have you found Jack Holden yet?" The man asked.
"Yes. It was hard because he was too fast for me to keep up with." The woman said.
"Good. Tomorrow night during the blood moon we shall strike." The man said quite eagerly.
"Sir...He had a woman with him. From what I heard she's a healer from a nearby village."
The man paused, most likely to think. "I've heard of this village. It houses a famous medicine woman named Rebecca. She has supposedly been trying to cure the Were-wolf bite and reverse the curse. From what I heard she's very close to finding it. If she does so, we'll be out of business."
"What do you want me to do, Sir?"
"She has a granddaughter. Everyone calls her Red. She's apparently easy to find due to her bright red cloak that she always wears."
The woman gasped. "Sir, the female with Jack...she was wearing a bright red cloak as well! It was because of her cloak that I was able to find him so easily!"
"Then she is affiliated with the creature. We must protect the rest of the village from the two witches. Spread rumors. Do what you can. I will send Jackel to deal with the Wolf and bring Red back from its clutches."
"But you know how Jackel gets during a fight-"
"It is not your call."
"But what if he tries to kill the girl as well?"
"I will send Farrah with him to keep him in check."
"Fine. And I shall go and do what I can."
Then there was silence.

Jack had made his way back to his home. It was quite humble and small but it could be kept warm rather easily. Jack walked into his home and then looked around. The fire from earlier had died down to a few glowing embers and Red was starting to shiver. Jack looked down and around his cave and found his "bed." It was honestly a bunch of skins he had gotten off of animals he had caught and killed, but it was soft and warm. Jack gently rested Red on the furs. Upon contact she let out a soft moan of distress. Jack stroked some loose hair off of her face and went outside to get some firewood. He usually kept logs he'd cut up with his claws by the cave but this time because of procrastination he actually had to climb a tree and get them himself. Jack positioned himself before the tree before using his powerful legs to propel him up into the air and onto a rather thick branch that was some 20 feet in the air. While crouched onto the tree, Jack tapped into his wolf curse and allowed his claws to come out. They were long, thick and razor sharp. They could cut through anything not metal. Jack dug his nails into the wood and got to work. Within ten seconds he had gotten the branch to ground level. With a satisfied grunt he lept off of the remaining bit of branch on the tree and landed next to the poor bit of tree. "Sorry Mother Nature...but I need to keep her warm." he whispered before cutting the log into smaller uneven pieces. When his work was done he brought the claws back into his body. He gritted his teeth as a familiar rush of pain entered his hands and then left. His hands now looked like regular human hands. Jack then took the peices of wood and brought it to the inside of his cave. Red was still laying there. She looked so peaceful sleeping on his furs. Jack squatted beside the camp-fire embers and placed two logs on to the soft orange embers. Suddenly the cave was bathed in darkness. "Damn..." Jack muttered under his breath. Using his superior eyesight he sought out his peice of flint and his striking stone. He sat there and rubbed the two rocks together sending sparks into the dark. After several attempts Jack finally got the wood to catch fire. The cave was bathed in soft light once more. Jack put the flint and stone down and sat next to Red's body. She was stirring a bit and her brows were furrowed from the light of the fire. There was just something about this girl that made him want to protect her. Jack leaned in and kissed her forehead gently. She sighed. His heart swelled. She was so beautiful. It was like she had put him under a spell. He ran his hand along her throat. Her skin was a soft and smooth contrast to his rough and calloused hand. He knew her skin had to be soft in other places...but he wouldn't risk it without her permission.

First it was dark...now it was light. Red didn't know where she was except that she was warm and comfortable. She snuggled into the warmth before her mind snapped awake. Jack the Wolf. Red quickly sat up with a gasp. Her eyes quickly was stung by the light. Red covered her eyes with her hand and tried to assess what she had seen with her limited eyesight. She was in a cave of some sort. The place smelt like wood, flint, and animal. Red uncovered her eyes and she immediately sensed a presence beside her. She looked quickly to her left and she locked eyes with Jack. Red filled quickly with terror and screamed while scrambling away from him. In her rush she knocked over her basket that was placed neatly beside her. But Red didn't care about it. She was to afraid of the man before her. Her back hit a wall and she quickly stood up her hands pressed against the rock. He had brought her into his lair. She was doomed. She knew it. As soon as that thought went through her mind she immediately began to cry.

Jack watched her with an amused look on his face, she was so...human. As much as he wanted to protect her, he wanted to seduce her. Jack slowly stood up and made his way over to her. Red watched him with wide eyes. He grinned at her and then quickly made his way over to her. In a blink he was looming over her and all she could do was gasp. This was it. It was the end. Red closed her eyes sending more tears down her cheeks. "Please...just make it quick." she whispered before she heard a laugh. Red opened one eye. Jack's grin seemed to have grown. "What did I tell you? I'm not going to kill you." he said his eyes flashing with amusement. "You're not?" she asked her facial expression torn between disbelief and fear. "No. I'm not." Red looked relieved and opened the other eye. "Umm...then what is it then? Why have you brought me here?" she asked as Jack brought his face closer to hers his eyes sweeping her face, neck, and chest area. "You have something I want, Little Red..." he whispered seductively. Red's heart sped up. Jack heard her heartbeat speed up and it inturn made him look up at her face. His eyes directly focused into hers and she suddenly felt warmth seep between her thighs. Jack smelt her arousal and it hit him like a ton of bricks. His member immediately stiffened and his animal instincts was screaming at him to have his way with the girl but he was fighting it back as hard as he could.

What was that feeling between her legs? She had never felt it before. Unconsiously Red shifted her legs and it sent a toe-curling jolt through her body. Red almost had to bite back a moan. Her nerves was on edge. What did his presence do to her? Jack reached out and stroked her cheek struggling to maintain himself while possessing a calm exterior. As soon as his hand touched her face she felt another jolt between her legs. His hand was warm and strong feeling. "You told me before you fainted...you were looking for the cure for the bite of a Were-wolf." Jack whispered again trying to keep his voice from shaking. "I want the cure Little Red. And you're going to make it for me..." Red looked like she was about to cry again. "You want the cure? You want to be healed?" She asked her voice wavering. "Yes Little Red. I want my life back." 'Or whatever bit of life I can go back to before I was bitten...'

Red suddenly hugged him, her arms wrapping around his slender waist. "Then I will try to help you, Jack..." Jack was taken back a bit. He wasn't expecting her to suddenly hug him let alone touch him. Her touch set his nerves aflame and he almost bucked his hips into her soft body. So he hugged her back tightly and kissed the top of her head. Jack took in her scent again and let out a soft sigh. "I think I love you already..."he murmured into her hair. She froze in his arms. He couldn't be serious...could he? Red looked up into his eyes. The way he was looking at her...it sent shivers up and down her spine. "But...how?" she whispered. Jack suddenly lifted her and held her tightly against his body. He closed his eyes and nuzzled his head into her neck. "Your scent calms me..." He said as Red suddenly felt a deep vibration eminating from his chest. He was purring! It was soothing though and she closed her eyes to feel him against her. After a brief moment, Jack forced himself to put her down. She had felt so good in his arms. "Stay with me tonight...?" he blurted out...almost pleadingly. Red looked outside quickly. As fate would have it, it had started to rain. Red looked back at Jack. His eyes looked so sad. She had nothing to lose. "I'll stay." she said almost hoping to feel a pang of regret from saying those two words. But nothing. In fact she had felt a sort of relief from it. Maybe she could get to know this mysterious man. Jack looked extremely happy and even let out a tiny howl of joy. Red thought it was extremely cute and giggled a bit. With a happy grin on his face, Jack sat down on the furs and motioned for Red to sit down next to him. He wanted to know everything about her and vice versa. Jack figured if he deserved a second chance with life...she would be the one he would want to share it with. Or if he died by the silver bullet...he would at least die knowing someone cried for him. And that someone would be Red.

Okay. I know what you are all thinking.
"Jack can control his powers?!"
"This is unheard of!"
"Le Gasp!"
Can Jack control his wolf curse? Yes he can. But not as well as you would think. In the next chapter I'm going to get into Jack's past and all will be explained to how he learned how to control it. Oh...and the benefits of Wolfs-bane. I'll be introducing some new characters in the next chapter, too. I love reviews! I know you all are going to chew me out so badly for taking forever but hopefully I can make it up to you! ^__^V
