Unexpected Guest

I looked at him, there was no way that he said that in my head, I opened the car door and got into the drivers seat. I didn’t say anything and I didn’t think anything I just drove until I was back at home, my mother was standing by the door greeting people who came too early. I completely forgot about the guy for a second and noticed that he wasn’t even in the car anymore. I quickly looked around and noticed that he was no where to be found, I walked up to my mother and hugged her tightly. She smiled at me and made me turn around so that she could get a better look at me, it was kind of embarrassing because she wasn’t the only one looking.

I walked into the large dinning hall where everyone was gathered and spotted my father from where I stood, and I quickly made my way over to towards him. I was nearly running trying to get through the crowd, I threw myself in his arms before he even had the chance to notice I was there. I know that people where looking at us, but I hardly ever got to see the man and I missed him, though I’d never say that out loud. My father looked down at me and then petted my head gently while he continued to talk to the people around us and introduced me to some people looking for young intelligent men to work for them.

After a while of boring conversation, being hit on by the girls and some of the guys there that was my age I managed to sneak away. I looked pass a blue curtain to see that no one was there and walked out and leaned on the rail. The moon looked as if you reached far enough that you could touch it, I actually reached my hand out as if tying to touch it.

::“I wouldn‘t if I were you, you might find something you‘re not ready to accept.”::

A familiar voice said in my mind, I didn’t bother to turn around I already knew he was there, I felt a hand run from the small of my back to my shoulder. I moaned and instantly covered my mouth I knew that my cheeks were red but I couldn’t help it that touch sent shivers down my spine.

::“What would I find?”:: I thought back to the man.
:: “The truth”:: He said back.

My legs were shaking with every stroke he gave me, suddenly I was turned around and then I could see his face. I was looking at myself, but my hair was long almost touching the ground and my eyes weren’t blue, they were orange. The other me wrapped his arms around my waist I stood rooted to the spot not able to move in the slightest.

“The truth is yours to find, go search for it. But expect danger as well you must look to the stars to find the way.”

He said to me. Then suddenly it was like he was melting into me, it looked like my body was sucking him inside and I couldn’t move. I looked down at my hands and then looked up at the curtains when a loud scream erupted from the room. Finally able to move my feet I ran back into the dinning hall to see everyone running all over the place, “Pirates!” a woman yelled as she ran outside. The place emptied out quickly except for my parents and I, my mother looked over at me and then waved her hand. I slowly made my way over towards them looked at the people that were helping themselves to our food.

There was a large man standing next to a woman and they were both raiding the table for the food, not caring that the room wasn’t completely empty. The man was tall and very buff, he wore a white shirt with a pair of black jeans, a belt that had a pistol on the side. His hair was dark black and slicked back into a short ponytail his skin was a medium tan and hard scars all over. He had a black bandana tied around his right arm and some ear rings in his left ear, along with a pair of cowboy boot.

The woman next to him looked like a midget compared to his height, she had dark red hair that was curly beyond reason. It reached down to her shoulders and she had a black bandana to keep it from getting in her face. She wore a blue t-shirt that showed her thin figure, a pair of black leather shorts, and on her both legs was a strap with daggers in them. Her shoes where dark blue sneakers and had a necklace that I could barely see, along with some bracelets.

“Benito, this was a great idea, now we‘ll have enough food to last for a least a month!” the woman said.

When I was close to my mother she pulled me so that I was standing behind them and then started to move backwards. “Mom, this is your house you can‘t let these pirates do what they want!” I whispered. That’s when I noticed that my father was walking towards them the young woman turned and looked at him. She quickly pulled out a dagger and threatened him with one look, my father didn’t stop, the man next to her turned, Benito I believe. I watched carefully, my temper was raising to levels I never even knew, if they hurt my father in any way I would make them regret it terribly. My mother was already at the door trying to get me to follow but I would not move, she sighed and ran outside with the others.

The young woman noticed that I was standing there and gave me a look over before telling Benito to point his pistol at me. “Now listen here, we‘re taking this food and anything else we want. Either of you try and stop us then we‘ll kill the other without so much of a second thought.” She said.

“Yeah, what Abby said. So don’t take one step kid.”

I didn’t move and neither did my father, well no that’s not true he was moving backwards ever so slightly, his movements were so slow I barely noticed. That’s when he suddenly made a fast move and kicked Benito right in the jaw, and Abby tried to attack, but he caught her by the wrist. He threw her to the ground and then turned to the taller man, “Get your filth out my house!” My father yelled the young woman started charging for me suddenly and I saw her movements and stopped her attack before she could do any damage. She looked down at me surprised, both her hands were both above her head and she couldn’t use the ones in her shoe because if I let go of her she would fall right onto them.

“Look, we just wanted food our crew members, they’re starving.” Benito begged.
“Benito, we have leave!” Abby yelled.

The look she gave me was of pure horror, I let her down and she moved towards Benito, “We have to go, now!” Benito looked at her in shock but did as he was told and the two of them walked back out the door they were came in. Benito grabbed a few items of food before turning and walking out the door, then came back and grabbed some more before leaving for good. Suddenly there was a loud cheer and my father and I both turned to see mother there clapping along with the rest of the guest that hadn’t left yet. She ran to me and hugged me tightly, father walked over as well with a stern look that turned soft.

“I‘m proud of you son.” He said to me.

I couldn’t help but smile, later that night I found myself standing outside my door looking across the hall at the blank wall. I moved over to it and rested against it again, I knew what’s been making me feel like I was missing something. It was a guy, the one that had own this armband before I got it, and I don’t remember his name, his face, or even his voice. I just know that I know him and that I feel weird not remembering him, it was like he was here one minute and then gone the next. I sighed before pushing off the wall and walking into my own apartment and closing the door behind me.

Trying to push the button on my alarm clock to shut the damn thing up, I don’t even remember setting it, I reached out for it but found that it was moved. I reached for it again this time following the sound and found again that it was moved, not ready to give up because I knew that it was Friday and I had English, Pre Calculus, History of Technology, and American History. I reached for the clock, these classes didn’t start until nine so I didn’t have to get up for a while, and then my hand finally landed on something warm. I sighed and looked up to see Abby from last night standing in my room holding my alarm clock with a big grin on her face. Her avocado eyes shinning brightly with amusement, it took me a moment to notice that she was in my room and another to remember that I slept naked last night and had a tendency to kick my sheets off.

“AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What the Hellllll!!!!!!!!!!”
