Chapter 1: Reunion
Well, here's the first chapter. I know you've all been awaiting this for the past...day.
~~~,~'~@ Chapter 1: Reunion @~'~,~~~
“Draco!” a female voice shouted as she knocked the doors. “Open up, I’m here!”
The doors creak open and a tall half-dragon greets the visitor.
“My, aren’t we late? What took you so long?” Draco said in a sheepish, yet angered tone.
“My brother was worried about whom I was seeing, and he’d have a fit if I told him I would be seeing an ex of mine…”
“I see…” said Draco. “Well, come on in, it’s cold outside, and the last thing the world needs is a sick young lady.”
As Jessie entered the pristine mansion, she remembered one of the things that she liked about Draco – his wealth. He was the son of a wealthy merchant, Lazlo Falconi, who also owned the F-Zero Training Academy in the Mute City district. It was through this that Draco needed not worry about financial troubles, whether it be for a small party with a guest list of about five hundred, or endorsing his favorite F-Zero racers, Captain Falcon and the mysterious Phoenix. The mansion floors were made of a high quality marble, with the pillars and handrails made of pure ivory. The chandeliers in the foyer alone were worth about a million dollars, as they were made entirely of quartz, with diamond accents here and there. The walls were lined with family portraits and, on the far wall, the family tree, which showed Draco to be the final Falconi heir. Jessie was constantly reminded of the Falconi family every time she visited her brother at the Academy.
“Jessie, would you be in need of a quick bath before our dinner?” Draco politely asked.
“Actually, no, I took a shower before I left, but thank you anyway.” Jessie giggled as she replied.
“Okay then. The chefs are preparing dinner right now. It should take no more than another hour to complete. Right, guys!?” Draco shouted into the next room.
“Right, boss!” replied the chef and his assistants.
“Lana, will you escort our guest her to her room? I would like her to feel at home while she is a guest in our residence.” Draco asked of the nearest servant.
“Sure thing, Draco.” Lana, his most experienced servant replied. “Right this way, Jessie.”
Jessie walked with Lana up the stairs and through a few sets of double doors before she finally reached her room. This room was prepared especially for her, since Draco and Jessie did date for a year in the past. As Jessie entered it, she turned to Lana, as to ask her something.
“Hey Lana, it has been a while, hasn’t it?”
“Yes, it has, I barely recognize you. You’ve become more beautiful since you were last here.” Lana replied, trying to please the guest.
“Why thank you, I’m flattered.” Jessie was being honest.
“So…why aren’t you and Draco dating anymore? I thought you loved him to no end?”
“Yes, I did, but we got into a few arguments and he found someone who ‘understood him better.’ I told him he could call me if he broke up with that demon girl, and I think that’s why I’m here tonight.”
“I see…so I hope things between you and him work out this time.”
“Thanks Lana, dear. That means a lot.” Jessie almost cooed as she said that. “And besides, if that demon girl has done anything to hurt Draco, then I think I have a way to really pay that bitch back for her foul deeds…”
The clock reads seven forty-five. Jessie hears Mr. Falconi call for dinner throughout the mansion.
“So let’s see what has happened to my poor Draco…” Jessie wore an evil grin, knowing she could soon exact her revenge on Rose A. Vicious.
