Chapter 2- Calling an Angel

Considering how this and my next chapter was deleted... I will repost them for people to see! I'm not gonna let some glitch interfere...

Chapter 2

"Go to him… You must protect him for me. For he is destined."

"I will not fail."

"Beware however… Beware of him."

"Beware? But… why?"

The stars seemed to radiate with otherworldly presence. As though they signaled the coming of something deep. Something that would change the lives of many. A glow appeared in front of a rather worn looking, and oddly separate house. The figure in the glowed walked forward, the door opening on its own, as if it was waiting for this day. The light died down, until the person was in complete darkness.

Walking to the side of a bed, the person watched as the man there tossed and turned in his sleep. He muttered what sounded like 'father' and 'fire'. He seemed troubled. Gently prodding him, the person hoped to wake him soon. For they had much to discuss. When the man tried to swat whatever it was away, the person merely continued poking. His eyes opened at last, getting used to the dim light.

A woman looked down into the most gorgeous sea-green eyes ever.

"AHH!!"

The man promptly jumped and fell off his bed, hitting his head. A loud curse later he emerged, rubbing the back of his head. The woman frowned. He was worse off then she was told.

"Who the hell are you!? What the hell are you doing here!?"

"How very rude of you. You really need to be taught some manners."

"What the hell!? I’m not someone who goes into homes in the middle of the night and wakes people up!"

"Well, I guess you have a point there."

Suddenly he started to look at her strangely. He reached out and touched the wings on her back, pulling away suddenly.

"They… they're real?"

"Of course they're real silly! You act like you've never seen an angel before!"

The look on his face told her correct. He rubbed his eyes and shook his head as though trying to determine if what he saw was real or not.

"I hit my head too hard…"

With that he went back into bed and rolled over. The angel was getting mad now. She expected troubles, but nothing like this! She roughly pushed him off the bed again, and another curse later, and the man got up. If there was any light, she could see the clearly pissed off look he was giving her.

"What the hell is wrong with you!? Can't you see I'm trying to sleep?"

"Listen up! I'm been sent here to help you."

"Help me? With what?"

"Maybe if you'll shut up I will tell you." She muttered something and an orb of light rose to the center of the room. The room was instantly lit up and the man covered his eyes waiting to adjust. She took this moment to take a good look at him. He was well muscled, although it wasn’t anything overly done. It was obvious he was a hard worker at least, but not training to be some powerhouse.

This might actually be easier then it seems…

The man was gasping at the light. "How did you do that?"

"Magic. Angel's magic to be exact. And that brings us to the topic of why I am here. I was sent here to teach you magic."

"Hold on! What makes you think I can do magic?"

"Silly, you've always been able to do magic! You just haven't learned that's all. You were suppose to though, but certain circumstances prevented this from happening. However, the spark of magic is still alive in you, and although it's weak, I think we can make it work."

The man looked at her with the wildest expression on his face.

"I have no idea what the hell you're talking about!"

"I knew this wouldn't be easy… In any case, I am here to help you, for it's important for you to learn magic. But I suppose we should start on the right foot. My name is Jessica."

"I'm John… John Aaron."

And so the beginnings of an unlikely pair begin…
