Wishing
I wish you could hold me close to you
Like you always did when I felt blue.
I wish I could wake up and see your smile
Maybe then all this pain would be worthwhile
I wish I believed you when you said everything would be ok
Instead of just pushing you away.
I wish thing’s could’ve turned out different
Unfortunately for me they didn’t
I Wish I could tell you that I’m sorry
And that I never meant to be tardy
I wish I could look into your eyes,
But I’m stuck now looking at the sky.
I wish I didn’t tell you to go
Then my heart wouldn’t feel so hollow
I wish I had told you how I felt
Then maybe I wouldn’t feel so much guilt.
But I can’t, for you are gone,
So I’ll sit here for eons and eons.
Wishing I had told you
How much I truly loved you
Like you always did when I felt blue.
I wish I could wake up and see your smile
Maybe then all this pain would be worthwhile
I wish I believed you when you said everything would be ok
Instead of just pushing you away.
I wish thing’s could’ve turned out different
Unfortunately for me they didn’t
I Wish I could tell you that I’m sorry
And that I never meant to be tardy
I wish I could look into your eyes,
But I’m stuck now looking at the sky.
I wish I didn’t tell you to go
Then my heart wouldn’t feel so hollow
I wish I had told you how I felt
Then maybe I wouldn’t feel so much guilt.
But I can’t, for you are gone,
So I’ll sit here for eons and eons.
Wishing I had told you
How much I truly loved you
