Chapter 2

CHAPTER 2

Natalie and I headed into different stores; New York and Company, Charoltte Russe Inc., Wet Seal, Gazooks, Foot Locker, Barnes and Nobles, Macys, and other stores for accessories. We were walking and laughing at each other’s jokes until this very good-looking guy rudely bumped into us with out turning to say “Excuse me”.
“Excuse you Mr. Rude Much!” Natalie raise her voice by every word.
He turned around cocked his head. He had jet black hair, fair skin, he looked very muscular, a very lean and tall guy, and did I mention very sexy. His eyes were very peculiar ; they were black. I’ve never seen black eyes before…just a dark color...never ever pitch black.
“You should watch were your going.” he said it in an annoyingly calm manner.
He’s obviously somewhere around twenty.
“You should watch where your going, you asshole,” I yelled. By this moment we had an audience. Some people just passing us and staring, and others standing a distance away.
“If you put your eyes before your looks, maybe you wont be so clumsy.” he had the nerve to look me in the eye.
“Maybe if you put your eyes before your mouth, you wont be an asshole.” I loved Natalie for having a bad attitude because it comes in handy.
An officer came to the scene a little to late. Natalie was staring the guy down hard. If looks could kill, the guy would be dead by now.
“What’s the problem here?” the officer asked.
“Miss here was just about to apologize to me.” he said.
My eyes went wide for a moment.
\'The nerve of this guy! Asshole!\'
“Like hell…” I screamed hell….literally,”… I was going to apologize to you!”
“Ok People, go on now. “ The officer said to the people around us. She turned to us and said, “You three will have to come with me. “
“For what?!” Natalie yelled. “That insensitive jerk started this!”
“Ok, how?”
“Well, you see they -” the guy started but was cut off.
“He bumped into us without saying “excuse me” and just kept walking, so I said something and he said we should watch where we’re going, and then we said the same thing and called him an asshole, etcetera.” I was out of breath
“Ok, when first you said…..what did first you say?\" She asked
“I said ‘Excuse you -\"
“Mr. Rude Much.” the guy finished.
“I didn’t know there were two of me.” I said sarcastically.
“You have no idea.” he replied in the same manner.
I just glared.
“Achem, well, as you said, he bumped you without saying “excuse me“, but you were the first one to say something, so in conclusion you were actually the first one to start it.”
“But-”
“Now you three will have to come with me.”
I felt as if I could kill anything right now, I was pissed.

“Ugh, no Alice, the guy started it first, by bumping into me without saying excuse me and I got pissed.” I explained. My aunt was on the phone, while me and Natalie were at the police station. That guy, Eric, just left. The police officer said that since we made a “scene” and was using explicit language that we had to be escorted out of the mall and to the police station for us to be picked up by someone.
“Yeah….mhmm”
Pause.
“Ok, thanks”
Pause.
“Ugh, trust me it wont happen again.”
Pause.
“Oh! Well, then could you tell Adam to wait like 10 to15minutes.”
Pause.
“Yeah, I have my keys, but my car is at the mall and my cell phone is in my purse which happens to be in the car.“
Pause.
“Ok.” I turned from the phone and looked at Natalie.
“Natalie, you want to go to the movies with me and Adam?”
“Sure, yeah.” she said.
I turned back to the phone.
“Yeah.”
Pause.
“Ok. Bye. Be home by 12.” With that I hung the phone up.
“So, going to the movies, huh?” Natalie asked.
“Yeah, with Adam. But damn, my car’s at the mall and I don’t know how to get there.”
“Why won’t you ask Alice pick us up?”
“Because she’ll confiscate my keys.” We laughed at my remark
“Come on, lets go outside and think how we’re going to do this.”
We left the building and stood in front of the descending steps. It was a cool night and the sky was clear. Just as I was about to say something, a black Porsche rolled up. The driver rolled the window down and it was none other then….
“Eric.” Natalie said it with venom.
“Do you ladies need anything?”
“No.” I said quickly.
“Well, then why are you standing here?” he asked
“Because Angel’s car is at the mall and now we don’t have a ride to the movies. “ Natalie said. I nudged her and gave her a glare.
“Well, it’s the truth.”
I glared harder.
“Well, you two can hop in here and I’ll give you a ride.” he offered.
“No thank you Rude Much, but we’re fine on our own.” I said.
“Hey, missy. Your fine, I’m not.” Natalie argued.
“And that’s Eric.” Mr. Rude Much said. “And yeah, you really look fine.”
“Shit. Fine. Take us to the mall,” I said as I walked down the stairs with Natalie following me. I got in the passenger seat and Natalie got in the back. As I shut the door, I said, “Don’t think I all the sudden I like you just because I climbed into your car.”
“I wouldn’t.”
“Good.”
About after a few disturbing minutes in silence, Natalie asked,” So, Eric, what do you do for a living? And I know damn well you can‘t be a pizza delivery person with this car.”
Eric chuckled.
“My father was a very wealthy business man. But he had cancer and passed away. I inherited all his things when he died.”
Suddenly, I felt sorry for the jerk-face. “Oh, I’m sorry to hear that.”
He smiled and said, “I’m surprised your even sorry at all.”
That hit home. I might have acted like the Wicked Witch of the West, but I wasn’t the devil’s daughter.
“Hey. I might have seemed to speak my mind too much, but I still have a heart, you know.”
He just smiled.
I turned my head to the road and thought about what he just said.
\'Did I really say too much out loud?\' I thought to myself.
I just waited ‘till we got to the mall and got my car, would I say thank you.
~*~
When we arrived to the mall’s parking lot, we drove around to the other side were my car was parked. I searched for a black Mercedes car, but couldn’t see any. I got out of the car and took me keys out. I pressed the button your supposed to hit if you don’t know where your car is. I heard an alarm and turned around. There it was.
\'Phew.\' I thought my car got stolen.
Natalie got out of the car and thanked Eric for the ride. He rode up beside me as I started walking and rolled the window down.
“What? No thanks from you?” he asked.
“Thanks, but I could’ve managed by myself.”
He chuckled. “See you ‘round .” And he drove off.
“The nerve of that guy.” I said while shaking my head.
“Ha. Right.”
“Ok, Lets go meet up with Adam.” I said.
“Yeah, but first let‘s get changed into more theater-like clothes.” she said.
We got in the car and drove off to my house. When we got there it was about 7:30 and the twins and Liz were with Alice. We went up to my room and changed. I let Natalie borrow some of my clothes.
I wore light colored Roxy jeans with a Roxy Brunette Shirt that hugged my body. Natalie wore dark colored jean skirt that came about two inches above her knees with a black shirt.
“Alright. Let’s go.” I said.

When we got there we saw Adam standing there with another friend, Ethan. He wasn’t as cocky as Adam, but Ethan was flirty. He was just as good-looking as Adam. Ethan had brown hair, blue eyes, tall, and also had a great body. They happened to be on the top ten list at school for the best-looking guy.
“Hey stranger.” Ethan said. Then gave me a friendly hug.
“Hey.” I said while hugging him back.
“Hey sexy . What you doing tonight?” Adam said to Natalie
Natalie laughed. “Let’s see. I’ll be having a sleepover, a pillow fight, naked, then a stripping contest at my house.”
“Hey! Count me there.” He joked.
We laughed while Natalie punched Adam playfully on the arm. We all went inside the theater , got our snacks, and then went to sit down. We had no idea about the eyes that were watching us.
