chapter 3

A/N: Characters are definitely my own!!

Yep, I finally added a chapter. Sorry it took so long, but it's not really my fault, it's my damn computer that creates troubles!!! Anyways, the chapter three is now finished, I hope you will enjoy it, because it wasn't really easy to write and definitely not to translate! I didn't have a time to seach all the mistakes from the text though, so please try to ignore them. And remember to review, it'll make it more pleasant for me to continue my writing.

Chapter 3

The time passed over , and Midhrien didn’t have any idea how long had he really spent on a cave. Every moment in that horrible dark place felt like an eternity, and it felt like there had been thousands of those eternities, and still he couldn’t tell if he had been in the cave hours, days, or even more. The only thing he knew was that he wanted to get away from there, and he would go crazy if he wouldn’t see light of the sun very soon. But the creature with red eyes didn’t talk to him or answer his questions about time passing, even though Midhrien wasn’t so sure if he wanted to hear him talk. The creatures hoarse voice and hissing talk scared him, but actually everything scared him in this very moment. He just wanted the creature to take him away from that dark nook!

And his wish was going to be true, because this ’red eyed creature’ had been studying the situation outside the cave though the angel didn’t have any idea of that, and he knew that people had finally finished their celebrating and were all sound asleep. And that of course meant that they could leave the cave. He actually was very happy he could leave this cave and reveal himself to his beautiful chosen one. It would be their destiny to see each other very much and very long time in future after all, although the beautiful creature didn’t know that yet. Maybe he was still cherising all kind of stupid fears about he would kill him painfully. Maybe the creature was so much afraid of him because he couldn’t see nothing more of him than his red eyes. Everybody were always afraid of his eyes which was really a shame, because he really liked them. They were actually quite beautiful eyes and more than that, usefull, for he could saw in the dark with them. Well, it wouldn’t be long since the angel could see his whole being. Maybe he wouldn’t be so afraid of him after that, maybe he wouldn’t be afraid of his eyes anymore then. Maybe the angel could also start to trust him.

He wanted the angel to trust him. He didn’t want him to be afraid of him. Respect, yes, but not to be afraid. Too many were afraid of him and he needed someone who would trust him and who he could trust himself, he needed someone who he could tell everything and who would tell everything to him, he needed this beautiful angel to… Yes, that’s why he had chosen him…

He got up from the corner of the cave and walked to the angel with slow, trancuil pace, kneeling in front of him. Angel looked at him and in his eyes could be seen fear and hesitation – and pain. He knew that it had to hurt to him because the way his wings had been teared off had been very cruel – those horrible stumps in his back told that. And still this beautiful angel didn’t whine about his pain, only once had he told that this darkness didn’t do any good to his pain. This beautifull creature was actually really brave in his own way.

”Get up. It iss time”, he said in a commanding voice, but there was also a bit of tenderness in his voice, so that he wouldn’t make the angel too nervous without a reason. Angel didn’t answer, but his gaze was asking. ”We are leaving this cave”, he cleared things. ”It is ssafe now. Get up and reach out your hands.”

Trembling the beautiful, wounded angel followed his command, sitting up and stretching his frail, beautiful arms towards him with a shy look on his innocent face. He smiled and took the beauty in his arms, and a little, weak sigh escaped from angels lips. What ever he had expected to happen, this was not it! Not that this creature with those burning, red eyes would take him to his embrace like that and that it would not feel… so bad… But what was the creature going to do to him now?

It was clear when Midhrien realized that he was being lifted. The creature lifted him in the air with ease, and it made him worried. This creature was so powerful, too powerful, and he felt himself so very small and helpless and his whole body started to shiver. He wanted childlishly scream for help even though he knew nobody would hear him. And then he heard a weird noise, just like the creature would have… spread his wings… But it couldn’t be true, could it? this creature couldn’t own wings. Only angels had wings. Nobody else didn’t. Except… if those rumors he had heard in Heaven were really true. If all those things about those defective, failed angels had been true, couldn’t it be that…

Midhrien felt his heart turn into a little, cold bundle and he thought he could not even breath. Fear filled his mind again. This creature… It had to be one of those failed angels, a demon, like they called them in Heaven! Midhrien hasn’t ever even tried to thought about the things he had heard of demons very exact, but he was sure that when he would saw this creature completely, it would definitely be something terrible. He clutched tightly to this powerful creature so that he wouldn’t fall and shut his eyes tightly in fear, and when he finally felt how the ground wasn’t there anymore and they flew, it didn’t last long until he was unconsious.

He was so beautiful, his angel, when he was like that, so close to him. the angel had fainted almost immediately after he had rose to his wings, but maybe it was only a good thing, because now he couldn’t struggle. He rose far above the woods and trees, spreading his wonderful black wings to their full size, and when fullmoon shed its light to the pale, perfect, unconsious face of his angel, he smiled widely again. His beautiful, beautiful angel… He would win the angels trust and he would get his fear go away, and everything would be perfect. Oh, his angel didn’t even have a clue yet…

***

After hours of flying, when the night started to turn a dawn, he flew even higher until he was above the clouds and cold wind was chilled to the bones. They were almost at the destination… Higher and higher he flew, and he was flying as fast as the wind towards the mountains which were no more so far away. At last he landed on a little promontory of the mountain and took one of his hands away from the fainted angel, drawing a complicated figure on the mountain wall with his long, black fingernail. Immediately there appeared a silvery cleft in the rock and a fairway opened. He shut his eyes and in a moment his wings had disappeared so that he could step in to a mountain with the angel in his arms. If he would have been awake, he would surely try to resist going on this cave – they had just left from the other one. But unlike the other cave which was so cold, dank and dark, this wasn’t like that at all. After all, this was his home.

They were now in a large, high tunnel which walls were shining and sparkling with gemstones and cold, and there were torches lighting the tunnel, which got the gemstones to shine even more. The floor of this tunnel was made of flagstones and it made a clattering noise under his shoes. The tunnel led in to a huge hall, which vaulted roof was so high it seemed to last till the heaven, and there were decorated, stonemade columns all over the hall, the walls were decorated by gemstones and beautiful clothes and many big, golden doors led to the other rooms. Enormous steps of stone with a green carpet led to upstairs in a big attic ,which circled the whole hall, and there were many new doors leading into countless new rooms. the whole hall was being lighted with a bluish, artificial light which he himself had created. He drew in a deep breath, happy at being home again. He had really missed home, even though he had to admit it was sometimes worth of it at leave from there for a while. After all, he had finally found what he was being searching for centuries – no, a thousands of years. He made a quick glance at the unconscious creature in his arms and brushed gently a golden lock from his sweet eyes, heading then to the upstairs, towards his own chambers. The beauty would probably awake soon…

And so he did. Almost right after he was being placed to rest on something soft, he opened his eyes. He was dazzled with all that bright light even though the light wasn’t really so bright, and he covered his eyes with his hand for a moment, groping around with his other. He was laying on his side, so that his injured back didn’t hurt too much, but as soon as he moved a little, pain shot through his flesh and bones. The pain didn’t feel so bad now though, because he knew he wasn’t in that disgusting, dank, fusty cave which had horrified him, no, this place where he was now…It felt… friendly place, where was nothing to fear.

When his eyes finally got used to the light, he moved his hand from his face so he could look around, and sighed in amazement of what he saw. He was being placed at the a large four-poster, and the cover of the bed was sweetly soft, red clothing, and the velvety upholstery were black. The walls of the room were made of white rock and it was being red clothes and many strange engravings. On the one side of the room was big, wooden table where was being put a couple of vessels and something that might be some good-smelling joss sticks, on other wall was huge fireplace, also made of stone, and there was fire burning happily in it, warming up the room. The floor was covered with a thick, red carpet. Near the fireplace was an armchair with velvet upholstery, and the back of it was turned towards him.

And then Midhrien suddenly realized, that there was someone sitting on the chair! He saw a hand that layed on a elbow rest, and he saw the long, black, sharp fingernails in that hand, and a ring on every finger, and his body stiffened. He couldn’t look away from that hand. It had to belong to the redeyed creature, who had that hoarse, low voice and who speaked hissing, and who had wings! That failed angel… Midhrien shut his eyes and felt himself tremble, and he tried his best for not to cry. Pain that those stumps in his back caused was forgotten, so afraid he was once again. Of course he was thankful he was not in that horrible, dark nook anymore, but if that creature really was a demon, there would definitely be so many horrors the demon could do to him! he thought about those bloodred, glowing eyes again and sobbed quietly, and in that same moment Midhrien knew the creature was looking at him instead of the dancing flames of the fireplace.

He had of course known all the time the angel had been awake again. He had sharp, supernatural senses, he had noticed it right when the angel opened his eyes, but had remained motionless so that angel could have studied his surroundings by his eyes at first, and get used to his new whereabouts. But now he knew the angel had seen him, so he rose slowly from his chair, his back towards his angel, and smiling in his mind he turned around so he could meet his eyes, but saw that he had shut his eyes again. Giving a little snort he watched his angel and then said: ”Open your eyesss and look at me.” And Midhrien didn’t have any choise but to obey, because even if he was so very scared of seeing the creature, he was even more scared of the consequences if he wouldn’t do as he said. Slowly he opened his big, blue eyes and stared right at the creature who he had been so afraid this whole time.

And the smile on the creatures lips deepened when he saw those innocent, blue eyes, so full of the most different emotions. He knew he had made the right choise, he knew that the thousands of years of waiting had been rewarded at last, and he bowed his head, smiling widely.
