Chapter 3

I finely finished this chapter! Sorry it took so long, but I\'ve been busy with school and trying to smooth out the details of this story. Hopefully I\'ll be able to post more often! As for the chapter, I hope it\'s okay, I\'m not sure it turned out how I wanted it to be... so I may revise it at a later date, but for now enjoy!

Chapter 3

When Kinoru awoke next, it was to pounding on his door; the pounding was made worse as it seemed to be in tune with the rhythmic pounding in his head and arm. Groggily Kinoru pulled himself out of bed and stumbled his way to the front door, swearing under his breath when he stubbed his big toe on a stool near the island separating his living room and the kitchen. He took a second to nurse the now throbbing digit and to assure himself that it wasn’t broken, but when the pounding increased he returned to his journey to the door, all the while yelling, “Just a second!”

Angry that someone would so rudely pound on his door, he flung the door open, which he had forgotten to lock the night before, and stood there confusedly. He slowly stepped out into the hallway and looked around, and he felt his stomach clench in the unpleasant sensation of fear. Slowly he took a step backwards and into his apartment, still attempting to find some kind of excuse that would send the fear away. He wasn’t sure what was going on, but there was definitely nobody in the hallway, and he was beginning to wonder if he should go back to the doctors and have them check his head; after, he had had a concussion. Kinoru frowned, hadn’t the doctors told him not to sleep? Maybe this was some kind of auditory delusion that was a side effect of sleeping on a concussion…

Kinoru carefully shut the door and slowly deftly began to slide the chain lock in place. “I wouldn’t do that just yet Mr. Ashman, I expect to be leaving shortly.”

Kinoru jumped and couldn’t help but let out the cry of alarm as he spun his body around to look at the person who had suddenly appeared in his house. Kinoru’s eyes were wide in fear as he took in the man before him. The last person who had called him ‘Mr. Ashman’ was not the person now standing before him, although it looked as if they might be brothers. Both of them were striking men, with long silky looking black hair; however where Dominic’s had been straight, long and looked like black silk, this man’s was short , coarse and dyed a bright and fiery red. Other then that, they were both around the same tall height, both had strong masculine features and dark piercing eyes. Another striking contrast was that with Dominic, Kinoru felt generally safe, this man made Kinoru want to flee to the police for help.
Kinoru didn’t become aware of himself backing up, until the door knob was pressed into the small of his back, and, if possible, the other man’s smirk seemed to take on an even more malicious glint. The man slowly began to stalk towards Kinoru and Kinoru found himself searching for the doorknob as he drew closer and closer. With the mysterious man only two meters away from him, Kinoru abandoned all rational thought and turned in a desperate attempt to run, grasping and trying to turn the doorknob, grateful that he hadn’t locked the door.
Just as Kinoru began to open the door, Kinoru found himself being slammed into the door, shutting it with a slam as the other man’s body pressed Kinoru’s into the door. Kinoru whimpered in pain as the doorknob was ground into his side, and he felt the other man move him to the side until he was in a less pain full position. Kinoru tried to use his arms to push himself away from the door and the man pressing him into it, but his assailant simply grabbed his left arm and twisted it painfully behind his back. Kinoru again whimpered in pain and stopped struggling.
“Done now pet? I’m afraid I can’t let you leave until we’ve had out little conversation. So why don’t you take it easy on yourself and just listen while I talk. As much as I’d like it, I’m pretty positive you wouldn’t like the alternative.” The other man used his nose to brush some of the hair away from the back of Kinoru’s neck and slowly bit and dragged his teeth against the exposed skin, clearly explaining the ‘alternative’ to Kinoru.
Kinoru whimpered again and shivered, the feel of the other man’s teeth on his neck making him feel slightly sick, and he nodded, “Alright…” he whispered softly, his voice breaking at the end of the word.
Kinoru felt the other man smile and felt his tongue slide over the area that he had lightly bitten, “good boy.” He said, and then slowly pulled away.
Kinoru could hear the other man moving away from him and into his living room, but Kinoru remained where he was at the door. After taking a few deep breaths to try and gain composure, Kinoru turned around and found the man smirking at him again from his position, half sitting on the back of the couch.
“What do you want…” Kinoru ask, keeping his eyes anywhere but the intense gaze on him.
“Really Kinoru, you don’t even want to know my name?”
Kinoru frowned and glanced at the man, “Fine, what’s your name?”
Kinoru watched as the man’s smirk turned into a grin, “Really Kinoru, I don’t think I know you well enough, yet.”
Kinoru turned his head to look at the wall to his left and hugged his body with his arms.
“Fine, what do you want then?” Kinoru glanced out of the corner of his eyes and found the man still smirking. Kinoru closed his eyes and let his head fall back against the door. “Please, what do you want?”
“You.” Kinoru jumped when he felt the other’s body press fully against his and the other’s hand snaked up to the nape of his neck, pulling his head upward until their faces were only inches apart. Kinoru swallowed, his eyes widening with surprise.
“wha…” Kinoru again found himself being shushed by a strange man with a finger to his lips.
“Just listen Kinoru, I’ll only tell you once, and only this one time kindly. The next time we meet I may have to be more persuasive.” Kinoru nodded slightly, unable to look away from the other man.
“Good pet. I know that other person came to you Kinoru, and I know what he offered you, but none of that matters; you won’t be joining his group. You’ll becoming with me and mine. There’s no room for discussion, you will not join his group.”
“No, I don’t want to be a part of this.” Kinoru shook his head slightly, as much as was allowed by the others grip.
“Pet,” The other man sighed, and slowly stroked Kinoru’s hair, his hand’s lingering on the bandages, “I’m not really asking you, if you don’t do as I saw there will be consequences, do you understand that? Do you understand that I’ll hurt you if you’re a bad boy for me?”
Even as the other made the speech, his grip on the back of Kinoru’s head tightened and his other hand pressed into the wound on Kinoru’s head. Kinoru gasped and tried to struggle, but found that he had little room to maneuver. Kinoru reached up with his good hand and tried to force the other’s hand away from his wound, but had little luck.
“Stop please” Kinoru sobbed out finally. The other man smiled and removed his hand from the wound and instead used it to pull Kinoru’s head to his shoulder, holding him tightly against him.
“I don’t want to hurt you pet,” The other man again tipped up Kinoru’s face so that Kinoru was looking at him, “but I will if you don’t cooperate with me, understand?” Kinoru nodded his head hurting where the other had touched, “Yeah I understand.” Kinoru just nodded slightly, “Please, I understand.”
The other man smiled, and suddenly released Kinoru and walked towards the couch, picking up his cloak while Kinoru watched in surprise and some amount of fear.
The other again walked back towards Kinoru and caught his chin again, “ By the way pet, you can call me Id. And don’t worry about calling me, I’ll get in touch with you.” Kinoru just nodded numbly and moved bonelessly away from the door.
Id left without another word, and Kinoru slid to the floor of his hallway while the his door closed silently after Id. Kinoru was sitting so that his knees were folded close to his chest and he pressed the palms of his hands into his eyes until he could see lights
“This isn’t real,” he whispered softly to himself, “stuff like this happens in movies, not in real life.” Kinoru finely removed his hands from his face and gingerly touched the now painful spot on the side of his head. Kinoru let his head fall until it rested on his knees. “Stuff like this isn’t real…”
