Distored memories through a shattered mirror

I\'m not all gone yet. But I know I\'m not all of what I used to be. I sometimes catch glimpses of what I think are my past. Times before everything changed before what everyone is starting to call the Rending. I seem to remember not being so, strong, or determined for that matter. I had a boring existence I think. But that doesn\'t matter... well it matters sometimes... like when I\'m feeding... I\'m struck with pangs of guilt and I don\'t know why. But I push them aside and keep eating, I need my strength to protect the mother. Without here we are lost, at least that\'s how I feel. Aside from old memeories I\'ve also seen visions, new things gut instincts about purposes and destinations that I had no recollection of even hearing about before. Like Faythdin, it consumes me at night but not the way the hunger consumes me. It\'s more of feeling of peace and longing. I don\'t even know where the name Faythdin came from but it\'s been on all of our lips. We all know it and we can tell when the others are thinking about it. Maybe mother is the key. But I\'ve seen the way she looks at us sometimes, the fear, the disgust, the disdane. Could she possibly be the one to lead us there? No I can\'t think this way she is our reason for being, she is our mother, our goddess. Without her we would be no better than the few strays that shamble into our territory. The fighters among us love it when they do though. The joy they take in eviserating the strays is eerie but I find myself wanting to join in, but I can\'t leave Mother\'s side, I must protect her. No matter how much she may hate us we need to protect her maybe she can at least appreciate that. I feel like something is coming to a head, something big and possibly violent. I don\'t know what or why but it keeps me up at night worrying. I have to be ready. The Hell?! Something\'s happening out front I\'d better check it out...
