Standoff
Hi, thanks to Allicat - or is that Nallicat - for reveiwing... I think this answers your question. See, I\'m a cheap date, one reveiw is about enough to have couching up a chapter, if a short one.
Oh and I mentioned in the second chapter that the two gorgeous hot babes of masculin perfection sleep together, though I said otherwise in the first chapter. No ones called me on it, thanks, and it\'s the second chapter status, they are lovers (hot flash).
Kai stretched and buried his face in the pillow and moaned. He hated mornings… The bed was empty, Ari got up horrendously early in the morning while Kai slept until the sun was already high in the sky – 10 or so. He pulled on a pair of black cotton boxers and stumbled down the stairs.
Ari was right where he always was in the morning: in a comfy armchair with black coffee and the stock reports. Except this time… there was a small – not kitten small but just small - fluffy gray cat crouched on the table by the chair licking at a bowl of cream.
Kai stopped and stared.
Ari looked up and smiled. “Sleep well?”
Kai just blinked.
“Ah, yes.” He gestured to the cat.” This is our new roommate, Precious”
Kai snorted. “Precious?”
“What would you suggest, Fluffy?”
Kai shook his head and scowled. He approached the cat and picked her up, and she hissed and managed to bite him with razor sharp teeth.
“Ow!” Kai glared at the cat and than Ari, who frowned.
“Precious what is wrong?” He took the small cat. “She’s proved to be a complete sweetheart until now.”
Kai scowled and soothed his hand. “It’s violent. Put it outside.” Too late he realized what a stupid thing to say that was. Ari arched his brows and stroked the cat. “Now you are giving me commands?”
The brunette sighed. “No. It bit me. It has violent tendencies.” He dropped his gaze to the cat. “And it’s weird.” The object in concern hissed and Ari petted her head soothingly. “How so?”
“It likes you. It doesn’t like me. Neither of those have ever happened before. And I just have a feeling.”
Ari just looked at him. And Kai knew that he would give in, because as he himself had said, this was the first animal to like Ari, despite him never having any bad intentions to them.
He sighed. He just had this really weird feeling about the cat, but Ari seemed so proud of it and happy…
“Do you want breakfast?”
Ari’s lips curved victoriously. “I’d adore some.” He let Precious back to her cream and she lapped it luxuriously. Kai let Ari go first and as he followed him he looked over his shoulder and shot the cat a hard, I’m-watching-you look. She just licked cream off her whiskers and he could have sworn she was smirking at him.
