Fuck the System
You may not believe this, but I did not for all intents and purposes see this coming. I assumed that Wesley would be splendid with his next client, Mrs. Hoyne, Sunshine’s mother. They bore more than a passing resemblance. She was an attractive woman, older, of course. But I like to think of Mrs. Hoyne as a fine wine, for she simply becomes more flavorful and enticing with age. In her early forties, she had no need for nips and tucks, botox injections, and the like. She was a natural, honey blond beauty with large, hazel eyes.
When I informed Wesley of his client for the evening, the entire weekend, perhaps, his response to me was this, “For give me sir, for that would be most improper.”
“Whatever do you mean, Wesley?”
“I do not mean to offend anyone, but I simply cannot do it.” He looked me straight in the eyes, his gaze unwavering. I attempted to explain to him.
“But Wesley, Mrs. Hoyne is one of our most treasured clients. You must understand that when I hired you, you became an integral part of the system, and-“
“Pardon me, sir, but fuck the bloody system.” To say that I was flabberghasted would be an understatement. Not sure how to go on with the conversation from there, I walked away in search of Hollywood and Studs. Perhaps, one of them would entertain Mrs. Hoyne for the evening. After all, they were more familiar with her.
