Back to the Beginning
As of now this is the end of the story. I may decide to write more later on but currently I am concentrating on My Harry Potter Fan-fics. Also, this is rather short. Fortunately, it fits rather nicely, don\'t you think? Anywho, if, after reading, you wouldn\'t mind posting a review, I would be very much abliged. Thankee kindly

Chapter Three - Back to the Beginning
Everyone turned to stare at Elias once more. “What?” whispered Emily. She looked as though she were about to faint. One of my friends behind her grabbed Emily to make sure she wouldn’t fall.
Near Elias, Catherine swore and said “WHAT? There is no way Elias would want to go out with HER over ME. This must be some sort of joke. Come on Ly Ly. Tell me you didn’t want to ask her out.” She put her face even closer to Elias’.
“I was going to, but stuff happened” was Elias’ reply. I saw Catherine pull back her arm and hit Elias. It wasn’t a slap though; it was a punch.
Emily ran through the crowd to help him and so did I. “Elias!” Emily screeched, “I think your nose is broken!” When I reached Elias’ other side, I could see that it was broken. Together we helped the dazed boy out of the gym and into the nearest washroom. This washroom happened to be a girl’s washroom. Girls ran out of the room when they saw us enter.
“Are you alright Elias?” I asked gently, helping him to sit on the ground. His clothes and ours were already soaked with blood.
Elias’ voice was shaky when he answered, “I…think so. She can punch hard. For a girl I mean.” He gave a weak smile and then passed out. I looked over at Emily. Tears were streaking down her face.
“Are you all right, Em?” I asked, “Cathy didn’t punch you too did she.” Emily looked up and I could tell she had a very odd sort of smile on her face.
She stood up, walked a few paces and turned around to look at me. “Don’t you see the irony?” she asked “Girl talks to guy. Guy hints to girl that he likes her. Girl is too dumb to notice it. Guy talks to girl’s friend. Girl thinks the two of them are going out. Girl gets angry, makes a big scene and storms off. In result girl’s friend makes plan. Guy gets punched but the guy and the girl are together. Ironic, see?” She sat down at the opposite wall from where I was with Elias, soaking his brow with a wet paper towel. “Why didn’t I listen to you before,” she continued, “Now Elias is going to blame this all on me and I am going to be by myself again.
I looked over at her. I envied her. I’m not quite sure why but I did. I stood up and walked over to her. My arm stretched out to help her up. Her hand grasped mine and I pulled. Emily wrapped her arms around me and I did the same. “It’s not your fault,” I whispered, “No one is going to blame you for anything.” I released my hold on her and dug into my jeans pocket. I withdrew from it, the bracelet which Emily had thrown at me just days earlier. I handed it to her and she smiled at me.
Elias didn’t come back to school till the Monday after the “incident.” I don’t think anyone really minded. It gave Catherine a chance to cool off and it gave me time to be with my best friend all by ourselves. The majority of our grade still thought it was a joke that Elias had wanted to ask Emily out but that all changed.
The Monday that Elias came back he asked Emily out. It was quite original the way he did it; it added some comedy to it. In the morning when Elias first saw Emily, he casually leaned against the lockers, cocked his head back once and said in a cool, yet slightly muffled voice “Yo Em! Want to go steady with me?” Then he winked, though it was barely visible because of the cast covering the majority of his face.
Emily laughed and ran over to him. “Of course I do,” she exclaimed. The whole school was talking about them going out. It was remarkable the way it spread. The best part of the whole ordeal was when Catherine came back to school from her suspension and saw Emily and Elias together.
Emily was walking around with a little hop in her stride. Her blazingly bright blue hair was flailing in every direction whipping people in their eyes but she didn’t care. Elias came walking over towards her, smirking. Emily’s arms opened wide and ran to meet him. They hugged and then they kissed. Even from a distance you could hear the muffled “ouch” from Emily as her nose was cut on Elias’ cast. I watched them walk down the hall together, hand in hand. It made me sick with envy. Well, except for having my nose sliced open.
