Girl Chat

“I\'m looking for a bar. Or at least some place that\'s not so-”
“Pathetic?”
“I\'m not sure.... is that too harsh?”
“Nope.”
“Rae.”
“Denise,” she said standing up brushing the grass off. Rae got a glimpse of her no existing undies. “And if you want to find a bar I can show you. I wasn\'t really doing anything anyway.”

It was only a few blocks away but no wonder no girl would go there. It looked like the streets of New York for fuck sake. Rae enjoyed the atmosphere. Who knew an all girls school was parked so perfectly to what they fared most it seemed. Denise ordered French fries and Root Beer and Rae ordered a Milkshake.
“So how did you end up here?” Rae asked. “you don\'t look like the type to go to a school like this.”
“I’d say the same but if you want to know, it the only school that my parents would let me go too. I didn\'t really want to argue so I went along with it. Its not so bad. No one bothers me and visa versa.” she nibbled on a fry.
“Bad relationship with your folks?”
“You might say... they are the kind of people that have an eye out for me 24/7 simply because they either have a power issue or just over protective. I\'m twenty-three for fuck sake. But I simply try to avoid all that. They are the suburban kind. They don\'t like complications and they don\'t like anything that\'s improper. All the more reason I came here I guess.” Rae was beginning to like this girl more and more by the second.
“I got kicked out of my school...lets leave it at that. But don\'t you ever rebel?”
“They just don\'t know the real me so its not a big problem.”

The evening progressed further with just chat and Rae finally felt comfort with having someone to talk to at long last. Walking back to campus was a bit of a drag. Eyes were on them, or was it the uniform? anyway they were safe in each others company.
“I don\'t know how to thank you for tonight.”
Denise pulled the smoke out of Rae’s mouth and took a puff, blowing it in her face.
