Recovering in the Pool

The tear was shifted at the last moment by some unknown force to a remote cavern in some far away mountains. Unchecked the tear grew slowly year by year until it’s evil spread far enough to reach the surface.”

I paused long enough to take a sip of wine, and then knowing that I had their undivided attention, I continued, “From what I understand, my father used his power to sense out those with evil in their hearts and slowly seduced them into serving him.
