Kiss of the Dragon
Lost
Chapter Three:
Lost
Her head ached. Her body was numb with cold. Last night’s touch, the arms that had held her seemed just a passing memory. Sevina groaned as she raised her head from the floor. Her body buckled under her hands as she tried to rise against the weakness. She came crashing to the concrete floor, and felt it scrape against the flesh of her chin. Warm blood dropped down the inside of her chin and down her neck. Sevina reached up and placed a few fingers to the hot crimson, it dripped onto her fingers and into her palm. She realized now that blood also escaped her lip, she tasted the copper flavor on the tip of her tongue.
Sevina felt the anger burning in the core of her chest. It felt as if her bones were aflame with the rage, this smoldering was carried through her veins, and was filtered through the hot tears the poured from the corners of her eyes. She felt like a caged animal, on display in some rotting cage. Her body was almost naked, with only torn clothing to hide the private parts she wished never to be seen by other’s eyes.
When she heard the footsteps, Sevina froze and took the stance of a paranoid tigress, a graceful but confused position between pouncing and escape. Her door was opened, after the lock had been easily picked, and Sevina had no time to think as two thick, muscled guards drudged her up by the underarms, dragging her to unfamiliar territory.
As you can imagine, Sevina did not go submissively. Sevina thrashed her body, contorting her abdomen and legs sideways, kicking at their heavy bodies. There was occasional grips and yelps, but she was not released from their grips. Sevina let the screams rip through her throat, obscenities and threats, her thrashing increased tenfold, and finally she slipped from the hands. The escape came too late though. The captors smirked, and closed her inside an opulent room, her final destination.
Sevina growled, and dug her hands into the thick carpet, balancing herself, so that she could stand. Once on her feet, her ears were greeted by the sounds of a sweet voice coming towards her. Cool hands gently pulled on her wrists. Sevina was overcome with exhaustion and her eyes could barely keep themselves open to observe the woman.
When Sevina woke, she found that her body had finally stopped aching. She blinked as her vision slowly came back, and tried to focus on her surroundings. Her eyes focused finally on an exotic looking stranger, lounging on a black satin and gold hemmed sofa in the corner of the room. This new woman was unlike anything Sevina had seen before. She appeared to be mulatto, with a lightly colored skin, dark brown hair that fell in loose curls about her naked breasts, and big beautiful navy blue eyes.
Sevina let her eyes trail down the woman’s body. Around her graceful neck was a diamond choker that glittered in the rays of the afternoon sun pouring in from the broad window. The diamonds fell across her breasts, brushing against her erect nipples. Across her toned stomach was a sapphire belly chain that matched the depths of her eyes. Draped loosely across her hips was a long mesh cobalt skirt. Her nails were covered in glinting rhinestones, and emeralds which coupled with the emerald headdress that draped over the woman’s forehead.
Sevina’s breath caught in her throat as the woman began to walk over to her. Legs moved elegantly as she sauntered confidently over.
“Are you all right?” She asked, kneeling over Sevina, her eyes looking for a reaction on Sevina’s face. Sevina nodded and looked down at the floor, unsure of what to say. The woman held out her hand, offering to help Sevina up. Sevina took it gratefully, and got to her feet.
“I am Nikkol. I suppose that you are wondering what you are doing here.” Nikkol commented as she directed Sevina to sit on the black sofa. Sevina felt her heart begin to race as Nikkol sat closely next to her.
“What is going on?” Sevina asked, her eyes searching for a answer in Nikkol’s sweet face.
“I suspect you’ve been chosen for Xandrian’s harem.” Nikkol replied with a sardonic smirk. Sevina closed her eyes, and shook her head. So she would not be able to see her husband again.
“Is there anyway to escape?” Sevina asked, tears beginning to stain her cheeks. Nikkol put a comforting hand on her shoulder.
“Do not think of what you have lost right now. I am sure that we can find a way out for you.” Nikkol murmured softly. Sevina shook her head, sobs wracking her petite body. Nikkol pulled Sevina into a comforting embrace as she continued to weep over the future she lost…
