Chapter Three

The people on the streets scared me. They were alive and normal, walking to and fro. But they still scared me.

Jill continues. "They found us after we went into hiding. For almost exposing their incident, I would have thought they would shoot us through." She takes a long drag of her cigarrette. In a quick gesture, she gives me one and lights it for me. I never smoked before, but elt elt good to have that burning in my lungs.

Made me know I was still alive.

"Instead, they gave us level 6 access and the most comfortable lifestyle ever," Olivera said with a smirk. "All this for silence and continued work with Umbrella."

"Not that bad," L.J. laughed. "I got trained with their special tactical unit. He got put with the higher ups; my commander. And Jill over there got total military access."

"Not total; just a decent amount." I exhaled the hot smoke, moving my lips to make a spiral. I smiled at Jill. She still looked at me like I was going to keel over and die on her. Very concerned. "How about you?"

The entire vehicle went silent. I took another drag and smiled as I exhaled.

"Same old, same old. Tubes, containment, T-virus. Basic genetic fuck up," I said with amusement. I didn't want them to worry as much as they did. I went through this before.

Two times to be specific.

***************************************************
Basic training with Umbrella was easy after highool.ool. I didn't fight, true, but I still kept up with my training. Katrina and I wouldn't go a week without sparring at least three times. It was our time when mom and dad couldn't complain we were starting our own trouble. Love you too ma and pop.

They immediately advanced me to another wing of security. High class, level three. You only get level three if you are goddamn fucking good at it.

Then came the medical portion. Injections like crazy. They pumped you full of everything that anyone could possibly use against Umbrella in an attack. I got vaccinations for diseases that the medical world hadn't classified or even knew exsisted. That's Umbrella for you. Always a step ahead.

Then came the aftershocks. They gave you this room, steel walls and no windows. It was like an apartment with a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living room and all. Computer for internet (no emails or im for security reasons) and to type in your symptoms or ailments. The others that were on the program became really sick, throwing up, coughing up blood, fevers, headaches. You name it, it happened to them. The affects wore off quickly as the body adapted to the antivirus.

But that was the funny part.

Nothing happened to me. I was perfectly fine.
