Chapter 3
Later that evening after calling his Aunt and letting her know that he would drop by in the morning to visit her, Jai climbed into bed letting the cool white sheets conform around his body. He studied the shadows that played across his bare walls, watching them in silence. The apartment was much bigger than he first realized which made him feel inadequate. Why Tara had chosen one this size, he didn't know. All he did know was that it had more room than he would ever need. Reaching to his right, Jai grabbed his CD player and headphones. Once placing them on he pushed play and allowed the custom CD he'd made earlier to relax him and he soon felt himself falling asleep.

The moment he drifted into a comfortable state, he found himself standing in a room that was dark and only silhouetted with several candles that were placed at different sections of the place. The faint clicking of thick-heeled boots broke the silence and they seemed to be walking towards where he was. As the figure moved closer it spoke and Jai immediately recognized that the voice belonged to Damian. "Jai, it so nice of to make it. I was worried that you wouldn't." Once stopping in front of him, Jai noticed that the other wore no shirt and soft leather pants. He spoke again touching his face. "You are such a beautiful being. I am so glad that I met you and I want to be the one to show everything that you need to know." then leaned in and kissed him deeply.

Jai awoke with a start yelling. "What the hell?" As far as he knew, he was alone his room. Touching his lips he blushed slightly. Another twinge below caused him to raise the sheets. Although there was no light to show him what he was straining to see, he knew. Sighing, he asked just barely touching himself. "Why am I thinking of him like that?" The moment he enclosed a hand around his shaft, he seethed arching his back letting the throbbing member pulsate within its trap. A few seconds later, he slowly moved it down. Jai took in a deep breath releasing it slowly as he moved his hand up again. His thoughts once again went back to Damian and his dark gray eyes. His perfect lips and smooth neck caused Jai to increase his speed a little more then focused on the perfectly muscled arms and torso that held them. He moaned softly bringing his hand down again. "Ah gods." He whispered focusing on his face again then one more strategically placed thrust he called out his new friends name. "Damian." and shivered as the intense explosion rocked him to the deepest core of his soul.
He lay still in bed, slightly whimpering and afraid to move, afraid that if he did so, another spasm would rip him apart. Breathing in deeply he worked to get his heart rate to slow its pace. Flushed and spent Jai soon found the courage to try and stir by the time the sun had began to filter into his room bathing it in a bright brilliant orange and yellow prism. He slowly reached over his CD player that still lay on the bed and picked up his cigarettes and lit one. After taking in a few puffs, he felt more relaxed and his nerfinafinally settled. "What am I doing? What is wrong with me? Why did I dream about him?" His questions circled the room but came back unanswered. Jai soon found the strength to move and climbed out of bed then headed for the bathroom.
After showering and getting dressed, he grabbed an orange juice single from the newly stocked ice chest and left to visit his Aunt then pick up Tara. Once leaving his Aunt's place in Marin County, he headed for the bus station. The whole time he was driving there, Jai kept thinking about the dream and how erotic it was to him. Just being next to Damian like that was seriously doing numbers on his body and mind. Nothing about it was anything that he ever remembered concerning Tara. Although he did love her, he was beginning to feel something more intimate, more profound developing, and that was just by being in Damian's presence and he wondered openly what it would be like to let those thoughts of his new friend, become reality. He smiled a little pulling into the parking lot. Once shutting off the engine, he turned on the CD player and listened to the radio while waiting for Tara's bus.
About ten minutes later, a local greyhound bus pulled in then stopped. Jai switched off the music and climbed out then waited by the car for her. He smiled warmly when seeing her and met her halfway then spoke. "Damn, it so good to see you again.” hugging her.
"It's good to see you too, baby. How are you?" She replied handing him the overnight bag.
"Just fine, now." He answered kissing her then placed the bag into the trunk. Tara smiled softly getting in the car when Jai opened the door for her afterwards, he climbed in as well and they left the lot.
Tara asked when they stopped at a red light. "There seems to be something bothering you, Jaiden. Are you sure you're okay?"
"I'm positive, I just didn't sleep well last night is all. I'm used to holding you at night, so the bed was kind of lonely." He answered with a grin then turned right. Tara smirked but said nothing. As they neared the apartment complex, Jai said. "I need to stop by Jessie's to check on someone." She nodded in response.
When they pulled into the driveway, she asked when Jai got out. "You want me to wait here?" placing her purse back down by her feet.
"Yeah. I won't be long." He answered with a smile then headed up the walkway.
Jessie’s girlfriend met him, as he was about to knock on the door. "Oh, hey Jai."
"Hi Leah. Late for work?" He asked with a slight grin.
"Funny. Blame that on Jessie. Not me. Neenah is going to dock me for this." She replied back putting on her sunglasses.
"No she won't and you know it." Jai responded.
Leah smiled then added. "You're going to be returning soon, I hope. We miss you there."
"Yeah, I plan too. The time off is what I've needed. You better get going." He answered.
Leah nodded and left then waved to Tara as she headed for her Jeep.
Jai shook his head and walked inside. Jessie spoke when seeing him. "Hey, look who's here."
"Hi Jess." He answered closing the door then asked. "How's Damian doing?"
"He's still sleeping. Letty checked in on him this morning before leaving for an on-set photo shoot. She said that the painkillers she gave him seemed to be doing their job. He slept rather soundly last night, so that was good for him.
Jai nodded replacing his sunglasses then said. "I don't want to take the chance on waking him, just let him know I stopped by and I'll call later."
"No problem. By the way, how long is Tara going to be here?"
"Not sure, really. She didn't actually say. I wish she'd just move out here instead remaining in L.A. but I guess it's not my place to request that." Jai answered opening the door.
"Jai. I know that it's none of my business, but what is it about her that has you so wound? I mean; I've known you since I was in junior high and I don't ever recall you being this caught up with anyone, or anything. I'm worried about you, man."
Jai sighed quietly then said. "I wish I knew the answer, Jess. I know that she's not a good influence on me; my Aunt even said that today when I stopped by to see her. She doesn't like Tara and never has. My parents only knew her when she was with the band, but not beyond it. I have hundreds of questions that I, myself, have asked but none of them offer the answers I and others have wondered about."
Jessie nodded in understanding then asked. "So, she's actually not going to stay with the band then. Is she.”
That wasn't meant to be a question, and Jai knew it. He replied. "Guess not. Her new job takes up most of her time now and is keeping her rather busy. So, it looks as though we're back to square one. Just you, me and Cassidy."
"Damn. What do we do now?"
Jai shrugged his shoulders then said stepping outside. "We'll think of somethiSomeSomething is bound to finally go right for us. It has too, we've already hit bottom twice. Listen, I got to run. Talk to you later."
Jessie waved laying down his drumsticks. A few minutes after his best friend left a voice from the hallway spoke. "Was that um, Jai?"
He followed the question. Damian stood there looking a little worn and using the wall for support. "Yeah it was. He said he'd call later. What're you doing out of bed? You should be resting."
"I'm fine. Just a little sore, is all. That medication your sister gave me, works nicely."
Jessie laughed standing up then said. "Her other patients think so too. Come on, I'll get us some breakfast."
