Chapter 3
Keiji:style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Tadashi’s Trip
I yawned
and stretched before curling back into Tadashi’s body.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I felt his arms tighten around me for a
moment before opening his eyes and looking at me. He smiled sweetly and brushed my hair out of my face.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I smiled at him in return before burying my
face in his chest. I was startled when
the door opened and pulled away. I didn’t
like public affection.
“Keiji,
why did you pull away from him? You
looked so comfortable.” It was Yumi’s voice, I would never forget it.
“I don’t
like public affection.” I whispered.
He
laughed, “You’ll get used to it. I need
to speak with Tadashi actually. The
fates what you to do something for their kindness in giving you Keiji.”
He
scowled, “What do you mean? He wasn’t
fate made.”
Yumi
laughed, “No, he wasn’t, but they chose him for you. If they hadn’t told me to collect him he would be dead.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> They informed me that they had chosen a pet
for you and where to collect him.” He paused, “Now, we need to get down to
business.” I looked up at him in confusion, “Keiji, you’re not going with him,
you’re going to stay with Ran.”
“Ran?” I
asked softly.
“He will
take care of whilwhile Tadashi is gone.”
I found
myself clinging to him before I even realized what I was doing.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> His fingers gently went through my hair,
“Keiji, you’ll be fine without me for a few days. I obviously can’t take you with me.” Softly he kissed my
foad, ad, “Ran will take good care of you.”
“You
won’t have anything to worry about Keiji.” Yumi smiled, “Now, I need to borrow
Tadashi.”
“I’ll be
back to see you before I have to leave.” He said, getting out of bed.
I grabbed
his pillow and held it tight, “Alright.” I whispered.
He looked
back at me once more before walking out.
I rubbed my cheek against the pillow, smelling his scent.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> What was wrong with me?style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Why was I clinging so tightly to his smell,
his warmth? My god, I had fallen for
him. I closed my eyes.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I didn’t know Ran, had never met him.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I wondered what he was like.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> After a few minutes the door opened and
gentle fingers went through my hair. I
opened my eyes to see who was there, it was Tadashi, of course it was, who else
would it be? I smiled and let go of the
pillow; the real thing was much better.
I wrapped my arms around his waist and laid my head in his lap.
Gently he
stroked my hair, “I’ll be back in a couple of days.” He whispered before taking
my face in his hands and drawing me up.
He closed his eyes and brought his lips to mine, “You’ll be safe.” He
whispered before pressing his lips against mine.
Hesitantly
I opened my mouth to him and he plunged his tongue in, playing along my teeth
and teasing the roof of my mouth. I
sank into him, allowing my tongue to become entwined around his.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> My hands gripped his shoulders, digging into
his shoulder blades. I closed my eyes
and pressed closer against him. I could
feel myself grow hard just from his kiss.
It was too much, and yet, not enough.
Slowly he pulled away and I whimpered at the loss.
His
fingers ran ovy chy cheek, “I’ll return to finish.” He smiled, “Be good for
me.”
I nodded
mutely before watching him leave. I
flopped back down, wanting him to come home.
I closed my eyes, clinging to the pillow. It wasn’t long before the door opened and someone walked in.
“You’re
not Tadashi, go away.” I sobbed.
“Keiji,
I’m Ran and I’m here to take care of you while Tadashi is away.” He said, his
voice sweet and low, as he sat on the bed beside me, “I’ll take care of you,
you’ll be safe.”
“I want
Tadashi!” I wailed, “Make him come back!”
What was
I doing? Why did I want him so
badly? Why did I want him to come
home? He had raped me but I had loved
every minute of it, “Easy Keiji, he’ll come home as soon as he can.”
I shook
my , “B, “But I want him home now.” I sobbed.
What was
wrong with me? He ran his fingers gently through my hair, “Keiji, he will.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> You may feel like this for a few days.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Pets have a bond with the master and they
usually don’t like that bond to be strained.” I nodded mutely, didn’t have
anything to say. I didn’t want to admit
that what he said was true. I closed my
eyes and clung to that kiss, to the feel of his lips against mine, “Keiji, do
you want to go outside?” He asked softly.
I shook my head. I didn’t want
to do anything, didn’t even have the will to get out of bed.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> He nodded in reply, “I’ll be here if you
want anything.” He said before getting up and sitting in a chair.
I nodded
but said nothing. There was only one
thing I wanted, I wanted Tadashi. Of
course I couldn’t have what I wanted, he was gone, would be for a while, but
that didn’t stop me from wanting him home.
I sobbed softly, clinging to the feather pillow.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> The sound of soft singing reached my ears and
I felt myself relax before I could even realize what was being said.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Sweet melodic tones but I couldn’t
understand a word that was said. It
wasn’t long before I was asleep, dozing to those soft tones, that gentle
singing. The sound of voices awakened
me; they were speaking quietly, trying not to disturb me.
“He’s
sleeping right now. I’m a little
worried about him. He’s become very
attached to him in a short amount of time.
It’s unusual.” Ran whispered.
There was
silence for a moment, “It is but it isn’t unexpected.” It was Yumi, “Tadashi is
very sweet and treats him well. He
seems apprehensive with regards to public affection though.”
I pulled
the pillow closer, “I’m sure he’ll be fine.
He just needs to grow accustomed to being away from his master.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Tadashi will return safely.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> It’s a simple mission.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> He won’t even get a scratch on him.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Keiji has nothing to worry about.”
“Try
explaining that to him. I sang him to
sleep Yuki. You know how I feel about
that.”
Yumi
laughed, “Sorry Ran, I know how much you hate singing, but your voice is
wonderful to listen to and your singing has got to be the most soothing thing
I’ve ever heard.”
He
sighed, “Yumi, I may have a good singing voice but that doesn’t mean I enjoy
it. I only did it to sooth him.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I don’t like seeing pets all wound up over
their master’s absence. I would do the
same for Aki or Shio, you know that.”
“Why
haven’t you taken a pet?” Yumi asked, I could tell he was smiling.
“If
something happens to one of you I don’t want your pets to go to the auction
block, or worse, the brothels. I refuse
to let that happen.”
“I
see. You want to be able to take care
of them. It’s all right Ran; if you
want a pet you can have one. I’ll speak
with the fates. Make sure they won’t
allow our pets to be taken or sold.
They will decide what to do with them.”
Ran
swallowed hard, “Alright, if I find one then I will take them.”
“Good boy
Ran. I don’t want to see you
unhappy. Take care of Keiji, I need to
go deal with Aki, he’s been being stubborn lately.” And with that Yumi walked
out, the door clicked shut behind him.
So it was
because of Ran’s singing that I fell asleep, which made sense considering I had
fallen asleep soon after he started singing.
Slowly I let the pillow go and looked over at Ran.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> He smiled at me and sat down on the edge of
the bed.
“Will he
really be alright?” I asked softly.
“Yes,
Tadashi will be fine. You don’t have to
worry about him. He may be young but he
is powerful and he does know what he’s doing.
Obviously you overheard Yumi and I talking, he will return without a
scratch. Nothing will go wrong.”
I sighed
and closed my eyes, “You’re positive?”
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Why don’t you get some more sleep?style="mso-spacerun: yes"> You look exhausted.” I shook my head.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I didn’t really want to go to sleep, “Do you
want me to sing to you again?”
I shook
my head, “No, because you don’t like it.”
He
laughed, “I may not enjoy singing but if you need it then I will.”
I sighed,
“I’m not tired, I just want Tadashi back.”
He closed
his eyes for a moment, “You need to learn to continue on, even when he’s not
here. He may own you but for sixteen
years you functioned without him. You
need to be able to do that again.
Tadashi can’t always be here.”
“I know
that.” I spat, “But it doesn’t change the fthatthat he isn’t here.” Softly he
began to sing again, “No.” I whispered before falling asleep.
