Chapter 3- The eyes of Recognition

"WHAT?!?"

Jeffery jerked up in surprise! The character in the story was supposed to respond not the person fashioned after her. His younger sister Alisha had caught both him and Clarissa off-guard as walkwalked into the living room. Damn girl! He thought she had already left for her date with her boyfriend.

Clarissa steadily giggled as if reading her boyfriend's mind answering the beautiful raven hair girl. "Not you, Alisha! Lishatoe in the story."

"Hey!" Alisha yelled, her elder brother cringing from her gaze. "Isn't that the story you've been working on, Jeffie? I'm in it?" Her questions were beginning to irritate him, and the peeking over his shoulder was not helping to rectify the problem.

"Yeah!" he sarcastically replied, giving her a look that could kill. He had to lock his manuscript safely away in a safe because of her nosy behind. But she wasn’t the only one. If it wasn't her…it was their elder brother who happened to be his identical twin. "You're his older sister who is also a fairy princess."

~***~

Alisha's eyes beamed with excitement. It was the first time her brother even thought about putting her in one of his stories. The closeness they shared as children had changed drastically with puberty: school, football and Clarissa were now ruling Jeffery's life. It was really sweet of him to think of her. "I've got to hear this!” she yelled, “I'll get a pillow!" She ran out the room, running up the stair to get her favorite lounging pillow from her room.

Jeffrey just shook his head watching her. "Anyway," continuing where he stopped off, "...Little Sweetwater, Jefric and Listatoe's youngest sister flew as fast as her wings could tell her to inform Lishatoe of Jefric's actions. What she wasn't aware of was Lishatoe was a little preoccupied at the moment. Dancing.(1) She flew all the way to Lishatoe’s new home, the Wing Palace, since she was now a married woman living with lifemate.

~***~

Sounds of pleasure vibrated from the newlyweds' bedroom. Lishatoe had returned earlier than expected from her royal duties for a rendezvous with her husband, Prince Tigermoss, a very handsome male fairy with flaring red hair, yellow green eyes and a smile toseduce the chilliest of virgin. He had been Lisha's childhood friend since birth and finally had gotten his eternal wish since falling in love with her. Yellow green eyes watched her their bodies lightly caressing each other on their feather down mattress of gold and pale ruby. A hint of honey wine was in the air as the two lovers giggled at each other. "Hic! The moon is right and we are drunk!"

Lishatoe giggled at her mate. "Very drunk! Hic!" She rolled over on her stomach lustfully gazing at his muscular body through ebony lashes, allowing him to pull her closer to his warmness.

"You're lips are the sweetest..."

"Ha! Hic! I bet you say that to all the girls." She teased.

Tigermoss flushed from that statement, smirking down at his wife. "If I was sober, I would tickle you to death. So to prove that you are the only one..." Before she could utter a response, he was behind her, lifting her legs and entering fast and swift. She gasped from the quickness of it, totally surprised as he filled her to the hilt.

Back outside, Sweetwater landed and found one of her sister's royal guards. "Hello, Isis! Where's my sister?"

"She doesn't want to be disturbed." She responded firmly.

"But this is important."

"Sweetwater, you'd better not. Her majesty is a married fairy now!"

Sweetwater pouted in annoyance. Ever since her sister tied the knot, they hardly saw each other. It wasn't fair! "Well I have to chance
it!"

Lishatoe and Tigermoss were dancing full force when Sweetwater stormed into their bedroom. "Lishatoe! I have to talk to you!" she screamed, her blond hair flaring in anger. But the moment the words left her mouth, her face reddened in embarrassment when she saw what the occupants were doing.

Two sets of green, one lighter than the other widened in shock. "Sweetwater?!?!"

Sweetwater, terribly embarrassed, closed her eyes but refused to leave until she spilled her guts. Tigermoss was livid. Something always came between him and his wife and now her sister had interrupted at a crucial moment! His groin was on fire, not feeling the satisfaction it wanted. "OUCH!! Don't you dare get off!" his voice passionately in his fury. He grabbed Lishatoe more tightly against his body. "I'll kill your sister!"

Lishatoe, equally upset reassured her beloved and just told him to get the cover. While her husband use his powers to comply to her wishes, groaning from her delicate movements with each twist of her hips, she then turned to her sister whom was still standing in the doorway, waiting. "What do you want, little one?"

The fairy maiden just crossed her hand over her heart, squeezing her eyes tighter than they already were. "I'm sorry, Lisha, but..." She paused in her thoughts, trying to drown out the muffles and sighs from within the room. She knew once a fairy began dancing, to stop was torture. Fairies were very sexual creatures. "It's about our brother! I think he's in love..."

Now that just steamed Lishatoe more. "Get...Out! I know him and he's not!"

She refused to leave. "He was singing about a girl named Clarissa..."

Lishatoe swirled around in shock. "What ?!" The shock of that human's name jerked Lisha's body and the effects were disastrous on Tigermoss. She felt his movements became vicious within her, pounding, gaining speed as she stared down on him gasping as he pounded her spot! “Huh?! Tigermoss! No! Not…yet!"

"I...can't!!" He was lost, needing to finish what they had started. He didn’t even care who was in the room, his body nearly on the brink. Then lights appeared behind his closed eyes when it hit, arching his body upward, pushing his love as deep as possible within his beloved and screaming her name to the world. All Lishatoe could do was moan, letting his orgasm wash over their bodies. A few seconds later, she turned to the side to watch his flushed face, waiting until his breathing returned back to normal. She then turned, glaring at her younger sister, energy suddenly pulsing with the room.

Sweetwater took the hint. "I'll just make my exit now..." and ran out the room.

Tigermoss, weakened by the strength of his release, turned his wife around looking into her eyes, apologizing for his premature action. But his wife was sympathetic, kissing him on his forehead. "No problem. We just have to keep doing it until we get it right."

"We'll never be alone!” his face burying into her hair. ”I'm building that house, Lisha!"

Turning his face back towards her, she looked deeply in her eyes. "Wait for me. I'll make it worth your while."

~***~
The door slammed as a very tall young man walked into the Jones' living room. From the look on his face, he was on a mission. "Alisha Jones!!! The roller rink closes..."

He stopped short as three sets of eyes stared at him.

"Oh good! Another interruption!"

Tigere Jamar Thomas aka TJ blinked in confusion at his best friend. "What the heck is going on?"

Clarissa just shook her head at her younger brother in shock. "Here comes Tigermoss or rather T.J."

TJ looked at his elder triplet in confusion. "What are you talking about?"

Alisha answered for her, motioning to her boyfriend. "T.J. Just sit down. It's story time!"

~***~~

Jefric left that following morning for his rendezvous with Clarissa. He ran to the spot that they described by Eclipse Lake when the sun was highest in the sky, which was around noon. It didn’t take long to find her as he stopped, seeing her there, sitting on the same rock he shared sandwiches with her the day before. "Clarrissa..."

Hearing her name, she slowly turned, smiling upward at the speaker. "Hello!" Cautiously, he slowly sat alongside her. Her hazel eyes twinkled with glee. He kept his promise. "You came! So are you going to tell me your name now?"

He smiled, thinking of the appropriate answer. "Well I don't know...

"See! I kept my promise by being here.” Her hair shifted to the side as she tilted her head. “At least you could tell me your name. You do trust me?"

"Yes I do, but it just what I was told." He looked down at his feet, fidgeting with his long toga-like clothing. "I'm not supposed to trust anyone except my mother, the fairy folk or the animals."

Clarissa could understand. The life of a royal was always secretive and protective. She knew…to truly understand the boy she must gain his total trust. "I would never betray you and we would be friends forever if you just let me. Here, I have proof." She lifted her hand towards him, displaying a beautiful ring with a stone resembling a tiger's eyes. "A gift.” She began. “It was given to me by my father on my thirteenth birthday. It's very special to me."

Jefric watched in awe, sea green eyes widening as she removed the ring from her hand and placing it in his. "It matches your eyes!” He couldn’t take such a gift from her. He shook his head, trying to return it to her. “I can't take this if it is so special!!"

"You are my friend.” She countered, stopping him. “If I can trust you with this, you can trust me with your name."

Jefric blinked, not knowing what to say. "You promise never to tell anyone about me?"

She nodded her head in agreement. "I promise."

He looked down on the ring, his hair hiding his eyes. "Jefric, my name is Jefric."

Clarissa smiled, finally placing a name on the beautiful boy before her. "That is a beautiful name. It suits you perfectly."

"Just as Clarissa suits you..." He giggled, his head slowly lifting. Shyly, he took her hand. "Come! Let me show you my world." He slowly rose, pulling her with him, running through the forest. He had planned on showing Clarissa everything about the secret kingdom within her realm. But as they passed by the animals, most of them knew of the little maiden since she spent most of her time in the forest anyway. This surprised Jefric greatly realizing what a friend he did have. He explained to her that only the pure of heart were able to touch any of the animals as she met his squirrel friend Redspark. He giggled watching her interactions with the tiny squirrel. The furry rodent, who was seated on Jefric’s hand, jumped off right on to her shoulder. She didflinflinch as the squirrel tickled her neck with its tail.

"Ha! Ha! Stop that!" placing the animal on her head. She then turned to Jefric. "How old are you?"

He was fiddling with a stick at the moment. "Fifteen turns of seasons."

"So you're fifteen too?"

He jerked around, astonished. "You're fifteen also?"

"Yes!" she answered, giggling as the squirrel tickled her ears.

Jefric stared at her, absorbing her laughter, thoughts running rampant in his mind. "You're the same age as me!" Her voice broke him out of his deep thoughts. "Jefric!! Show me more!"

He blinked back at her. "Oh?! Okay!"

And this was the start of a great friendship discovering true friends in every bit of the sense, like young children meeting for the first time. The friendship between the forest child and the princess continued for weeks into an inseparable bond, discovering the forest through new eyes. After many stories, Jefric and his new friend couldn't stop giggling about things rumors circulating around her kingdom. They climbed trees, gathering fruits for lunch using teamwork, throwing buckets of water at each other while chasing and playing hide and seek. All through the season the youngsters were having so much fun in each other's company they never realized it was blossoming into more.

Jefric was chasing Clarissa through the forest. The princess was having too much fun with her friend and didn't see the ditch in the ground. Jefric heard the scream and raced toward her. Being a special child, his arms caught her just before she hit the ground. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?" His voice anxious, checking her for injuries.

"Just a little shaken! I didn’t even see that." Her head rested against his shoulder, trying to calm her nerves. Reddish brown hair soft like a dove grazed his cheek. The weirdest sensation surged through his body. Taking a breath, he tried hard to ignore this strange feeling and thinking about his friend’s welfare. "You want to sit and talk then?" When she nodded they sat on the grass crossing their legs. "Tell me about the parties in your castle, Rissa?"

Clarissa then went to explain about the various events celebrated at the castle with master balls and dances given throughout the year. "...Big balls, but they are boring, Jefric. I have fun here in the woods."

But Jefric didn't find any of it boring. He loved her stories because they educated him. Each one she described was like a picture book leaving him thirsty for more. "Knights and fighting senselessly? Such foolish pride…I could never do that."

She grasped her hands together, imagining him in court. "You would make an excellent knight."

He shook his head in denial. "No. I wouldn't. I despise violence unless absolutely necessary."

She watched his profile after that statement. Never in her life had she met anyone so extraordinary as Jefric. Each day as they were together, a new facet was being discovered about him. His kindness, playful manner and his heart…He had such innocence about him, so very innocent. "You are very noble, Jefric."

The birds chattered in the trees, silence of the true beauty of nature. No one ever took the time to listen to the worf thf the wind or the true happiness of the sun's smile towards its inhabitants or blessed love of the mother earth herself. Cool breezes teased with his hair as he thought about the girl next to him. He had so many questions and just being quiet was not going to answer them. So he spoke, yet his awkwardness showed through, hiding his eyes under his long head. "Um...Clarissa...What does it mean when you dream of someone and that person causes feelings to stir inside?"

Feelings? Clarissa looked at Jefric. The way his body was reacting, something was affecting him. "What kind of feelings?"

"Hot...cold...warm feelings...and then butterflies flying in your stomach. Did that ever happen to you?"

She sat up from up her slouched position, crossing her legs under her dress. "No! Not yet...but it can only mean one thing?"

"What's that?" he asked, his eyes on his sandals, kicking at dust and a twig on the ground.

Her eyes glowed bright looking at him. "It means I'm in love."

Recognition hit him, yet he wouldn’t look at her. "So...I'm in love with someone?"

"Yes, Jefric. You are in love but I must confess also...for I'm in love too." The words spilled from her mouth and she didn't care. For the first time in her life, she felt empty and the boy next to her...this simple young man filled the void.

Now Jefric was shivering. The moment she confessed her words...His angel was in love with someone else...that what she said. He couldn't even look at her. His body was weak from the knowledge, cold tremors going up and down his spine. "Why am I shaking? I'm so afraid of what will happen next."

She moved over, her thigh lightly touching his. Thoughts of moving were useless. His body ignored every attempt and he was terrified to even peek at her. I've never felt so confused and frightened of the emotions flooding me now!" The heart-shaped face was inches away from his. His breathing coming in rapid gasps, anxiety controlling him as his mind was spoke his fear. "What are you afraid of?"

Finally, his eyes gazed at her, staring into her face. Words voiced the anxiety of his emotions. "You…” he spoke, trembling. “I'm afraid of you! Yet I know I feel this way toward you."

The words were never finished as petal soft lips closed over his, stealing his eternal innocence. His eyes dilated from the action, cheeks flushing, his heart quickening along with his pulse. And then the lips left his, pulling a little away yet still probing his eyes for some other reaction.

Jefric's mind was in totally confusion like a mouse in a maze. That kiss! It was nothing, like the one his mother’s or the one his sister gave him a couple of days ago. A thumb lightly grazed his lips and he felt gentle hands caress his flushed cheeks. Hazel eyes glowed at him, trying to read his face and wait for understanding.

Confusion danced along his face like a magnificent puzzle to a game master, and comprehension was the key. He found his answer in her eyes; eyes that glowed every time they looked at him, every time they talked or giggled from their games. A smile brighter than a thousand suns crossed the maiden's face, watching confusion disappear from the boy and exploration arrive towards her, wanting another taste of forbidden fruit. This time their lips arrived at the same point, her hands drawn fold around his neck. Jefric didn't realize when his face moved towards her nor di und understand why he did it but at the moment, he didn’t he care. Something that tasted better than honey apples?! He always thought that was the impossible but he was proving himself wrong. Light little nibbles along his lips, causing tiny moans to escape him, widening his mouth and feeling the shock of her tongue. A bolt zoomed through his body, his arms going around the maiden’s slim waist, pulling her closer to him, kissing her deeper.

Sometime later, the two teenagers were blushing in each other's arms. Jefric cuddled contently, filled with something he had never felt before. Fulfillment. For the first time in sixteen years, what he was looking for…was satisfied from a young girl's kiss.

"Jefric...Jefric..."

"Hmmm?" his eyes closed in bliss, rubbing his chin along her hair.

She sighed, enjoying the light brushing. "I have never been kissed like that?"

Sea green opened, grazing at his newfound love. "Nor I, Clarissa. That was my first kiss! Your lips reeked of honeyed wine. I became drunk from them." He sighed, a finger languidly playing with her hair. He sighed again truly happy for the first time in his young life. "My first kiss and the essence of an angel have come to be my own."

Yes. The young forest prince had found an angel...yet another watched her brother feeling a strong wind of change blowing toward her...toward her family. Ebony locks dangled in the wind as Lishatoe watched her sibling, knowing the wheel of prophecy was shivering, aching to become reality. "He's in love. My little brother.” Sea green eyes darkened continuing to look at the two lovers. “The time has come for him to know. But one problem..." as she turned away, shivering with fright. "How do I tell mother?"
