Why did you have to go away?
why did you have to break your word?
disappeared, dying, dead
Here one minute, gone the next
hidden truth, secrets tell
i blocked the memory & dulled the pain
yet now i remember as if it were today
you were gone a month before i knew it
its been nine years and
my dream is coming true.
I dont know why you went away
i understand your broken word
drowned in a lake
so many years ago
why cant you be here when i need you so?
i dont know where to turn,
i dont know what to do.
Promises of years ago
the day i learned the ugly truth
was the day i vowed not to wed.
you broke your promise,
