Unforgivables

\"Tran!\" I screamed into the darkness. \"Tran!\" I almost tripped on the wet floor. \"Please Tran! Answer me!\"

I hugged myself. This wasn\'t the dark I liked. This was a strange dark, a cold dark. It felt like someone was watching me in the darkness and I hated that. Not to mention I had been walking for what seemed like hours and I had found nothing.

\"Tran!\" I yelled again. \"Tran...\" my voice was a whisper. \"Please...where are you...\"

\"Elise?\" I turned, looking into the darkness. \"Is that you Elise.\"

I held my hand out trying to find him. \"Tran...Tran please. I\'m afraid Tran...where are you?\"

A hand clasped around mine and I was pulled into the strong embrace. \"You don\'t have to be afraid anymore. I\'m here.\"

\"What is this?\" I asked him, gripping his shirt in my fists. \"What is this place that we are in Tran?\"

\"I wish I knew.\" Tran answered. \"But we are in the darkness Elise. I will protect you in the darkness.\"

My mind was slightly at ease from his words. Tran would always protect me in the darkness. \"Tran!\" I screamed as his body pulled from mine and I was left alone agian. \"Tran!\"

Tears formed in my eyes and I dropped to my knees. What was this place? Why was it so cold? Why did everything feel so cold? Was I dead? My hand touched my heart. I was alive. There was no warmth from where my blood had spilt. Though, that didn\'t mean I was alive. I could very well be dead. Did that mean...did that mean I was in hell.

\"Don\'t leave me...please...\" I sobbed. \"Tran! Please don\'t leave me alone in here! I\'m so afraid! Please! Please come back! Don\'t leave me Tran!\"

\"Are you afraid?\" that was a woman\'s voice. I looked around but didn\'t see anyone. \"Are you afraid?\"

She came into view and I stared at her. She had a clother over her eyes, like a blindfold, and her dress was completely white. \"Who are you?\"

\"Are you afraid?\" she asked me again.

I nodded. \"Yes...I am. It\'s so cold in here.\"

She knelt down by me and smiled. \"Have you lost your way?\"

\"Where is Tran?\" I asked her. \"What happened to Tran?\"

\"Your friend is with me.\" she answered and held out her hand. \"Come with me if you wish to see him once again.\"

I hesitated a moment before my hand took hers. Light engulfed me and I dropped to the floor. I quickly looked around but the only one in the room with me was that woman. \"You told me Tran was here! Where is he?\"

She smiled and sat down at a table. \"He is here.\" she looked around. \"Transient is within the darkness. Now, come sit with me.\"

Slowly I walked over and took my seat across from her. \"I want Tran.\"

\"My dear child you are so persistant.\" she laughed softly. \"But alright.\" the lights dimmed and Tran stepped out of the shadow. \"This room is to bright for someone like my dear Transient.\"

\"Tran!\" I stood and ran to him. I gripped his shirt and burried my face in his chest. \"You left me all alone in there. I was afraid.\" He set his hands on my shoulders and pushed me away. I fell back and looked up at him. \"Tran?\"

He walked past me and sat at the table with that woman. \"Do you know who this is Elise?\" he asked me and I shook my head as I stood. \"This is Carol Brown. The one who has called to us all.\"

She took off the blindfold and I saw the resembolance she had to Christopher. \"What is this place?\" A noise came from my right and I looked over. Brian fell from a black hole onto the floor. I ran over to him quickly. \"Brian! Hey! Are you okay?\"

He groaned and sat up. \"Where am I? Last thing I remember I was dead.\"

\"So were the rest of us.\" Tran said and I looked back at him. He was sitting at the table with that woman. \"Looks like fate has something else planned for us.\"

The noise came again and we all looked to the left. Someone fell again. He sat up and looked around. His hair was pure white and he had eyes the color of ice. \"Who are you?\" my god his voice was softer then Christophers or mine! \"Where am I?\"

Someone fell next to him and this guy was the opposite. Black hair and, when he looked up, black eyes. \"This is odd.\"

\"Who are they?\" I asked as Brian and I stood.

\"Gabriel and Alexis.\" Carol answered with a smile. \"Friends of my son.\"

Brian looked at her shocked. \"Christopher?\" the noise came again and Chsitopher came into view. He looked around a moment. \"Christopher...\"

Christopher\'s eyes fell on Brian and he went into shock. \"Oh my god...Brian...you\'re alive!\"

They were hugging in meer seconds. I glanced at Tran but turned my attention away. \"Six of you...\" Carol muttered and stood. \"Only six. I was hoping for more...but this must do.\" she smiled at all of them. \"Christopher, Brian, Elise, Gabriel, Tran, and Alexis. It is wonderful to see you all once more.\"

\"Hey Carol.\" Alexis said as he helped Gabriel up. \"Long time no talk.\"

Christopher looked at the woman. \"You...you\'re my mother.\"

She smiled again. \"Hello there Kit. It is wonderful to see you again also.\"

\"Why are we here?\" Alexis asked. \"What did you bring us here for Carol?\"

\"I brought you here to tell you all something.\" she answered. \"About what is going to be happening.\" the lights turned on and Tran hissed. They dimmed again. \"Forgive me Transient. I did not mean to hurt your eyes.\" he nodded and she continued. \"There are people after all of you, and that does not mean just you six, that you should be worried about. People a lot worse then my deranged sister.

\"You must be careful from here on out. There are only so many times I can save you from danger and only so many times I can be there at all. With the others with you it will be much easier. You must find them. At all costs. Am I understood. Once you are all together this will be easier to understand. Until then you must trust me.\"

\"Wait!\" Chistopher yelled as we began to disappear. \"Mother!\"

The next thing we all knew we were in the forest. Tran slipped off into the shadows and I lowered my head. Christopher was in front of me in a minute. \"Elise, it\'s wonderful to see you.\"

\"Same to you.\" I answered him. \"Excuse me for a moment will you all?\" I followed Tran\'s path into the forest. When I found him he was sitting against a tree in the shade with his eyes closed. \"Please, what is wrong?\"

He looked up at me. \"Hello Elise.\"

I walked closer to him. \"Please, Tran...what was that?\"

\"What was what?\" he asked me and I looked away from him angrily. \"Elise what are you talking about?\"

I shook my head. \"Nevermind. Forget about it Tran.\" I turned and began to walk away. \"I\'ll leave you be.\"

The world around me darkend and I froze. It was warm. I knew this darkness. I loved this darkness. \"Where are you going Elise? If anything I would think something is wrong with you.\"

\"It\'s hard to love someone...who doesn\'t care.\" I answered, not knowing where I had gotten this courage from. \"Someone who will never love you back...\" I turned to him. \"Because of his black heart.\"

That one cut deep. I could see it. Tran stood and he had a serious look on his face that told me I had basically slapped him in the face. \"You think I have a black heart? After everything we have been through? I think you need to realize that just because you love someone that does not entitle them to love you back.\"

Tears formed in my eyes. \"Let me out of here! Let me out now! You bastard let me out now! I never want to talk to you again!\"

\"Stop being such a baby about this Elise!\" Tran yelled at me. \"I don\'t understand why you even love me at all! You should hate me! I have tried so hard to make you hate me and yet you love me! Why? Why do you love me?\"

\"I can\'t help it!\" I yelled back at him. \"Everything you do...everything you do makes me love you more. Especially being here with you. In this place! No matter how many times you try and push me away I will only love you more!\"

Tran walked up to me and gripped my upper arms. I winced at the tight hold he had. \"I don\'t understand it. I don\'t understand you. After everything I have done to you! After every horrible thing! After bringing you to this place! I don\'t understand you Elise!\"

\"Tran...you are hurting me...\" I whimpered and his grip lessened.

\"Even now...even now I hurt you Elise.\" Tran said softly. \"How can you love me when I do this to you? You shouldn\'t love someone like me. You shouldn\'t have to be in this pain.\"

I stepped closer and buried myself within Tran\'s body. \"If I am with you...I am not in pain.\"

One of his hands left my arm and grabbed the back of my hair softly. He pulled my head back and I felt warm lips on mine. My hands gripped his shirt tightly as he kissed me. When he pulled away I buried my head in his chest again.

\"I love you...\" I whispered.

No matter how many times I heard him say \'I know\' it was always better then hearing nothing at all. \"I love you, too.\"
