Everything You Want
Epilogue
Smiling as the cool early morning breeze teased the ends of her pale tresses; Bella took a deep, contented breath and shoved her hands a little farther into the sleeves of her parka. The air was crisp and cold, warning that winter would soon be upon them, and she looked forward to spending the holiday season with her father and Lacey.
Kicking at the leaves scattered about the manicured lawn of the cemetery, Bella made her way through the rows of marble stones. The path had become a familiar one, one that she traveled almost daily. Though no one said anything to her about it, Bella knew her family was still concerned about her.
But really, there wasn’t any need to be concerned. She was fine… Well, maybe not fine, but Bella would never do anything to jeopardize the health of her baby. Her habit of visiting Cole’s grave so frequently spawned from the fact that she really just had so many things to tell him. Sometimes she would spend hours there… Talking, laughing, crying…
Yes, she still missed Cole fiercely, but with everyday that passed, Bella felt that sharp pain in her heart lessening in its intensity. She suspected there would always be a dull ache deep down inside, but now she knew that it was possible to move past that pain and continue to live.
“Hey baby, it’s me,” Bella murmured softly as she sank to the ground in front of his head stone. Shivering a little, Bella pulled her coat more tightly around her swollen tummy and eased herself into a comfortable sitting position.
“I went to the doctor the other day and she said that the baby will probably be born sometime around Christmas. Isn’t that exciting? Lacey is helping me make the spare bedroom up into a nursery… Oh and guess what?! My dad and Lacey are getting married next spring! I’m going to be a bridesmaid.”
Pausing as she traced the carvings in the stone with her fingers, Bella sighed. “I wish you were here. I miss you so much… There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about you.”
Choking back a little sob, Bella stared out into the horizon. The sun was just starting to peek out from behind the hills; the sky around it melting and swirling into brilliant hues of orange and pink and purple.
“Thank you, Cole. I don’t think I ever told you that enough when you were alive, and I kind of regret that. Thank you for always being there for me, for always loving me despite my selfishness and immaturity. For believing in me even when I didn’t believe in myself. Without you, I don’t think I would be the person I am today. You helped me realize that the world is a wonderful place, as long as you’re strong enough to deal with its imperfections rather than running from them.”
“Because of the strength you helped me find within myself, I’ve finally come to realize something. Something you always knew, but constantly managed to elude me...”
“I am strong enough to fight my own battles, strong enough to deal with the harsh realities of a world that isn’t always my friend.”
Rubbing a gentle hand over the roundness of her belly, Bella smiled softly. “With this gift you’ve left behind, I know I can go on without you. Never forgetting the light and love you brought to my life, but letting go of the anger and sadness of your death. Every time I look into beautiful face of our child, I know I’ll see you. That’s how your memory will live on forever.”
Placing a bundle of Forget Me Nots hidden from the cold beneath her jacket onto the grass, Bella pushed herself unsteadily to her feet and pressed a kiss from her hand to the chilly marble marking where her love lay to rest.
“I love you, Cole. Always and forever.”
As she walked slowly away, the rising sun shone brightly in the morning sky, highlighting the simple words carved lovingly into a piece of stone…

-sniffles- Well, that’s all folks. Everything You Want is officially finished. I hope nobody was disappointed in the ending. I tried to tie everything together. :o) It’s been a fun ride, huh? Thank you so much to all of my readers, you’re the reason I wrote this, and will continue to write as long as you want me to. lol I’d also like to thank my friends and family who’ve helped me so much in the creation of this story. An extra special thank you goes out to my best friend, my sister, my muse Lacey Barsottini. She is the one responsible for the beautiful pics of Bella and Cole, and someone who inspired much of the plot for this tale. hugz Thank you my darling, stubborn wench. :o)
Moving right along, with the reviewer responses, I am including a PREVIEW OF MY NEXT STORY entitled, Falling For You. I know, I know… The title is kind of lame, but it’s the best I can come up with. lol Deal with it. Expect humor, witty dialogue, lots of angst, romance (of course lol), and steamy love scenes. -winks- I’ll be getting the first chapter out to ya’ll sometime tomorrow. Until my next author’s note… Tchao all!

PREVIEW FOR... Falling For You
Breanna Denton’s life was simple, average, and… boring. Despite having everything a teenage girl could ask for; doting parents, a perfect GPA, a tight knit circle of close friends, not to mention a sweet guy who was completely devoted to her… Breanna still found herself wishing for a little excitement, something to shake up the predictability of her all too perfect life.
Unfortunately for her, ‘excitement’ came in the form of a shaggy haired, drop dead gorgeous bad boy with ‘trouble’ written all over him.
With one look at the beautiful, violet eyed Breanna Denton; Devon Pierce vowed to himself to expose the inner vixen beneath her prim and proper façade. Snag her, bed her, and drop her. No fuss, no muss. It was a game he played every time he transferred to a new school, a motto he lived by so no one could ever get too close to the troubled heart he worked so hard to conceal.
While Breanna knew that getting involved with Devon was an awesomely bad idea, she just couldn’t resist the opportunity to liven up her hum drum existence with the thrill and pleasure he promised with one look from his intoxicating amber colored eyes.
Despite their wish for just a quick fling, Breanna and Devon are about to find out how sneaky love can be.
Will they find themselves falling for each other? Or will they destroy each other in the depths of their own selfish desires…?
GUESS YOU\'LL JUST HAVE STICK AROUND TO SEE, HUH? :o)
