Isiel watched the young neko, like a chilling echo of how he used to be as he disappeared with Eiji....so he\'d been replaced, traded in for a fresh, unsullied model now that he\'d finally had the nerve to act upon the only thing close to real love he\'d ever had to cling to and even if he knew it was all his fault for some unfathomable reason it hurt, filling him with a mixture of pain and anger which he couldn\'t explain. Turning to the fullgrowns he hardly kept a bitter expression from his pretty face, \"What\'s that supposed to mean?\"

The full-grown who had spoken shook his head and dropped to one knee respectably, bowing his head before Isiel. \"Apologies, Master. It wasn\'t meant to mean anything. Just the idle rambling of an old cat,\" the elder said quietly as the other two fullgrowns got to their knees as well, showing respect and lowering ears and tails.

The blue-eyed neko following Master paused on the staircase and looked back at Isiel with wide, frightened eyes when he heard the nasty question, and he quickly turned and hurried closer to Eiji, grabbing the man\'s wrist in both hands and clinging tight, burying his face in the strong arm.

Together the three fullgrowns stood and nodded, with one last respective bow before turning to head back to their duties.

In Eiji\'s room, the dark-haired man undressed slowly and put on a loose robe, tying the sash at the waist and turning to look at the little thing huddled on the chair by the hearth. Moving over to it, he held out his hand, and Uriel lunged immediately, licking at the fingers and purring, clinging to Master\'s arm and looking up at him with his large, glassy eyes.

\"Thank you Master,\" he whispered, glad they were finally alone-- the only time he was really comfortable speaking freely. \"Thank you, thank you so much from rescuing me from that place. Please... let me serve you as best as I can. Let me be your good servant; I\'m a good neko. You won\'t regret taking me in.\"

Shyly, he held onto the extended hand with his fingers while leaning forward a little more, purring loudly enough that his whole frame vibrated as he buried his face into the soft silk of Master\'s robes against his stomach. Accidentally the neko had left the bedroom door slightly ajar, and Eiji didn\'t notice or didn\'t care as he ran his fingers through the boy\'s hair softly and allowed him to do as he pleased.

Isiel climbed the stairs slowly, his heart feeling uncommonly heavy and as he passed by Eiji\'s door he couldn\'t help but catch sight of the peaceful scene - so familiar and yet now something which felt like a distant dream....had he ever been that obedient? Gotten that kind of affection from Eiji without having to fight for it and survived long enough without making a mistake to enjoy it....he honestly couldn\'t remember and the twisting pain in his chest became more intense, causing him to stop short of fleeing as he might have in the past and walk away, back down the stairs and outside beyond the comforting familiarity of the house and to the very boundary of the grounds where he felt he could be truly alone and avoid Dorian seeing him in such a pathetic state of confusion and sadness.

Eiji heard a noise and noticed the open door. He moved away from Uriel momentarily and closed the door, then went back to the neko, picking him up and carrying him to the bed as the smaller frame trembled with anticipation.

Dorian peered out of his bedroom with cheeks slightly flushed and his erection taken care of, and saw that everyone seemed to have dispersed already. Seeing one of the fullgrowns who had been in the entrance, he caught the neko by the arm and gave him a questioning glance that meant everything behind the staircase.

\"Master brought home a new neko,\" the full-grown said with a smirk, his voice echoing through the entrance. \"He\'s cute, and blonde, and about as shy as Master Isiel was when he first came. They\'re in Master\'s bedroom now. Are you going to go listen then, Dorian? Does this mean finally you can move on from your attentions with Master Isiel and your fascination will go to the next new meat in the house as always?\"

Oblivious to the action taking place within the house Isiel meandered towards the very edge of Eiji\'s property and gazed out upon the world beyond that he had known only from drives in cars with blacked out windows that muted the sunshine and dulled the city to a vague echo with something akin to longing. It was difficult to know with the appearance of the new kitten if he was even necessary aside from sating Dorian\'s needs.....would this new neko take his place entirely or would he become a resented mistake, lingering in the mansion like a bad smell? With a faint sigh he sat down upon the grass to think.

Uriel mewled loudly and writhed on his back, clinging to Master as the kisses upon his throat began to trail downwards. Trembling fingers filled with thick black hair and he took a deep, choking breath as he felt the hot mouth travel across his belly and strong hands pushed his ragged loincloth to the side.

\"Ma-Master!\" Uriel choked out, his insides bunching and writhing as his toes curled and he took a ragged breath.

The telephone beside the bed rang, and Eiji paused, drawing away from Uriel and leaving the shivering neko on his bed, reaching for the phone. He picked up the receiver and put it to his ear, listening. Moving to the window, he parted the curtains and looked outside. \"Yes,\" he said calmly, before the voice spoke up again. \"Fine. If he wants to run, let him run. Just follow him.\"

He hung up the phone and remained at the window, staring out of it and ignoring Uriel\'s pleading mewls from the bed.

After a while Isiel got fed up of contemplating what to do and on pure impulse vaulted over the wall. Clearly no one desired to stop him from straying and he hadn\'t really expected them to. The world beyond the house seemed cold and uninviting, but it beat waiting around to find out when Uriel would be taking over his position. Unaware that anyone had even noticed his absence he ventured out, losing himself in the strange sights and sounds which had become hazy memories long ago.

Dorian sat in his room quietly, cross-legged beside the bed, head down and a little phone pressed to his ear as he murmured into the mouthpiece.

Eiji stood at the window in his bedroom, and watched as Isiel jumped the wall and left the property. Left him. Running away to another life with somebody else who could give him what he needed. He\'d always said that he\'d never stop the boy if he decided to leave, though he had at least expected the little neko to have told him to his face that he was abandoning everything and rejecting Eiji\'s offers and kindness.

So it appeared as though the search for an heir would have to be taken up once more, the dark-haired man thought to himself as he stared out the window, unmoving spare the deepening of the crease between his eyebrows. He\'d put so much hope and faith into Isiel that he\'d almost come to expect his ideals to come through, but Eiji chided himself silently for being such a fool. Isiel had resisted everything Eiji had ever given him or done for him from the first day, and all the man had done was push himself and his world onto the boy.

It was Eiji\'s fault for pushing Isiel away, he knew. And now, he\'d finally given one push too many and lost the one thing Oriel had begged him to take care of.

For all his success as a businessman, Eiji knew he was a failure as a husband and a lover. The sharp feeling stabbing at his chest was a familiar one as he stared out the window at nothing in particular.

Isiel forced himself to concentrate upon the road ahead, the traffic as it thundered past, anything to help ease the tangled emotions which made his chest ache and his head swim as he walked away from the house and crossed the first of many roads. He hadn\'t aimed to get himself lost, but by the time he thought to glance back he was beyond what little of this part of the city he\'d come to know and felt a tiny surge of panic which he suppressed admirably before beginning to wander again. No one cared so why should he?

An hour later, a sleek dark violet car came screeching across the street and through an intersection, nearly getting hit as it went through a red light and came to a loud halt half onto the sidewalk in front of Isiel.

Two huge, barreling thugs looked around quickly and spotted Isiel, and both reached out at the same time. One cracked the kid across the back of the head with his pistol while the other grabbed him and picked him up, carrying him back to the car. They threw him across the seats and floored the gas, the car squealing off once more at top speed with their hostage inside.

Eiji\'s phone rang a few seconds later.
