Being Taken Care Of
“Why did you tell them all that,” Janese asked once they were in her new Benz. Jett stared at her and said nothing. “You might as well go tell them that I went to the clinic to see if I was carrying your child!” That got Jett’s attention.
“Hey! Now that they don’t need to know,” Jett spoke up. “I don’t know why I said all that stuff. bablbably because I’m feening!” He grinned at Janese and licked his lips. “I can’t wait ‘til the five months are up. I need you know!” Janese giggled and shook her head. “I hope you don’t expect me to wait five months just to have sex.”
“Nope. I can’t wait that long. Not ‘til after your graduation. When are we leaving?” Jett’s smile faded and he sucked his teeth.
“That’s okay. Just remember what I said about payback. We’re leaving tomorrow morning and I graduate the day after. So we have a whole day to relax.”
“Good. Now which direction to I go to get to the studio,” she asked, starting up the car. Jett shook his head and laughed.
“Just drive.” She pulled off and honked the horn when she passed the limo.
“Wait, there’s Keevia and Michelle!” Janese pulled along the curb and honked the horn. Keevia and Michelle turned around and ran towards the car.
“Girl, who got this for you,” Michelle asked.
“Her babddy,ddy,” Keevia answered with a laugh.
“I would give yall a ride but we’re on our way somewhere,” Janese said.
“Where?”
“I’ll tell you later.” Janese pulled off and honked one last time.

\"Mama are you feeling any better,\" Vickie asked her mother. Grandma Aultmon sneezed and coughed in the phone.
\"Not really. My head is still throbbing and my throat is killing me. Don\'t let me get started on these body aches.\"
\"Don\'t worry. Richard got Janese\'s graduation on tape.\"
\"I know. But it\'s not the samebeinbeing there.\"
\"Mama, don\'t feel bad. You have to stay in bed.\"
\"I know. When is Jett\'s graduation?\"
\"Day after tomorrow. Mama, can I ask you a question.\"
\"Sure!\"
\"Jett bought Janese a Benz and a studio for a graduation present. Richard and I don\'t approve of that. Do you know they had sex?!\"
\"Why do you find it so wrong for a man to take care of his woman? And yes I did. Janese and I discussed that last summer.\" Vickie was quiet before answering.
\"How come you didn\'t tell me? I would\'ve liked to know that my daughter was sexually active.\"
\"You should be content in the fact that Janese has found a man that wants to take care of her and loves her the way he does. Jett wants to do it. So let him.\"
\"But mama! She\'s not going to college \'til next year!\"
\"Girl please! Janese is going to start school in the fall. You raised a beautiful and intelligent young lady.\"
\"You\'re right ma. Now get some rest. Bye.\" Vickie hung up and went into the living room. Justin was asleep on Richard\'s chest. Richard was falling asleep himself. She took her son and laid him in his crib. Richard opened his eyes and sat up. Vickie came back and sat in his lap. \"Janese is going to be fine.\" He kissed her on the forehead and pulled her closer.
\"If you\'re fine with it, then I am.\" Vickie sat back and closed her eyes.
\"Yea, I\'m fine.\"
