Into the blue

\"That can\'t be.\" I told Gabriel. \"You can\'t still have parents. None of us have parents, we\'re not supposed to.\"

He was looking at me now like I was insane. \"Christopher my parents are still alive.\"

\"Your real parents?\" I asked him and he nodded. \"And your father? Is your father like you?\" that one got him. \"Is your father like you? If you are like us then your father should be like you.\"

Gabriel shook his head. \"My father isn\'t like me. They joined up with your aunt when they found out what I was. Until then we lived in the forest.\"

\"Then they can\'t be your real parents Gabriel.\" I told him. \"They have to be foster parents or something because we get how we are through our fathers.\" there was no way that I could prove this. I had only heard it from Tran and it wasn\'t like he was coming back to help me any time soon. \"Are you sure that you don\'t remember your real parents?\"

\"Hey.\" the guy who had been standing outside had come in and interrupted us. \"You better tell that kid the rules before he gets himself into trouble Gabriel.\" with that he was gone.

I looked back at Gabriel. \"Rules?\"

\"We\'re not allowed to talk about it here.\" Gabriel answered. \"If we talk about it we get in trouble.\" he continued to cook. \"Besides, I don\'t know what you are talking about.\"

Anger surged through me and I got up to leave the room. I walked out back and stood on the porch where that man was still standing. The door closed behind me and I stood there a moment. \"So what are you? His personal bodyguard or something?\"

The man looked over at me and smirked. \"Aren\'t you keen.\"

\"I\'m just not stupid.\" I answered. \"So, are those his real parents in there or does he just not remember what happened before all this?\"

\"Gabriel has been through a lot being here. I wouldn\'t be surprised if he didn\'t remember things about his past.\" that was clearly the best answer that I was going to get so I left it at that. \"I knew your father.\"

\"What?\"

He nodded. \"Yeah, I knew him. That was before I ended up here actually. I met you back then also. It was a while ago so I don\'t expect you to remember but I met your family. We\'re all connected in some weird way, one way or another.\" he smirked. \"Gabriel too. I knew Gabriel back then.\"

I rolled my eyes. \"And you don\'t know him now?\"

\"Gabriel doesn\'t know who I am.\" he answered. \"And I want it to stay that way. It\'s for the best.\"

\"So you are trying to keep him here?\" I asked. \"What a good friend you are.\"

\"You don\'t understand Gabriel, Christopher. I may not understand him all the way either but you don\'t know anything about him.\"

I looked over. \"What is your name?\"

\"Aelxis.\" he answered and smirked. \"My mom wanted a girl.\"

With that he left and I looked out over the back field, which led to the forest. I replayed the scene in my mind. Brian grabbing my hand and pulling me into the forest. The hours we spent talking and walking. Then of course...that. I could still feel him. Feel his kisses, feel his touch, feel him everywhere around and in me.

Tears were forming in my eyes again and I closed them to hold them back. It had been amazing. How well we seemed to fit together in everything we had done was mind blowing. It was horrible to think about never having that ever again. In fact it was down right horrible to have finally found someone that you were perfect with and have that person taken away.

\"Damn it!\" I yelled and set down on the little swing thing my aunt had. \"Damn it...\"

\"Kit?\" it was my mother again. \"Kit if you give up now...it will all be over. You can\'t give up Kit.\" I tried to block her out. I didn\'t want people in my head anymore. I didn\'t want ot have to listen to them. And I sure as hell didn\'t want to hear Brian. That would just be to hard. \"Please Kit, please don\'t give up. We all believe in you Kit. You can do this okay?\"

Do what? What was I supposed to do? \"I can\'t do what you want when you don\'t tell me what it is you want me to do.\" I whispered. \"I can\'t do it.\"

\"Find them.\" she whispered back and a shadow flew over me quickly. I looked up into the sky but there was nothing there. I looked around before seeing an eagle flying towards the forest. What I wouldn\'t give to be able to fly away like a bird. \"Find them...\"

\"Christopher?\" I grabbed my head and clamped my eyes shut. No! I did \'t want to hear his voice! No! \"Are you okay?\"

\"Don\'t talk to me...please...\" I began to sob. \"Please don\'t talk to me.\"

It went silent and I just sat there. God I didn\'t want to hear his voice. I was barely able to accept that he was gone let alone him talking to me. \"Something bad happened to you.\" god no! Stop talking to me. \"Christopher please look at me.\"

Look at him? I couldn\'t look at him! \"Leave me alone! Stop talking to me!\"

Someone sat down next to me and I looked over. Gabriel was sitting there, his white hair glowing in the sun. \"Who are you talking to Christopher?\"

\"No one.\" I muttered softly as I looked around a little more. \"I wasn\'t talking to anyone.\"

\"It\'s not good to hide things like that?\"

\"You\'re one to talk.\" I hissed at him and he got a hurt look on his face.

\"I\'m sorry...I know it isn\'t my place to say.\" Gabriel lowered his head. \"I just know...from my own experiences...that it isn\'t good. Bad things happen and I don\'t want anyone to go through the bad things that I have been through.\"

I rolled my eyes. \"Well, tell me if saving the world works out for you.\"

He was fidgeting with the sleeves of his sweatshirt. \"I really didn\'t mean it like that Christopher.\" his voice was so quiet. I knew it was because he had thought he made me mad but at that point I really didn\'t care. \"I\'m sorry...\"

\"Yes because life must be so hard for you here,\" I muttered. \"With your own personal little guard who protects you from everything.\"

Standing from my seat I walked off the deck and into the field. I wasn\'t in the mood for people telling they were sorry, especially for such a stupid reason, and I really just wanted to be alone. I had never not been alone in my entire life and all I wanted was to feel what it was like. I just wanted to be completely alone, if only for a little while. That was all I wanted.

\"Christopher!\" Gabriel called after me. \"Christopher where are you going? Please come back here before they catch you!\"

\"I\'m just going into the field. Chill out \'mom\'.\" I yelled back at him and walked away.

When I was a good distance away from the house I sat down in the grass and then fell backwards. My eyes stared at the endless blue sky above me. Maybe that was where Brian and Tran and Elise were. In heaven. Well, whatever place there was after death. They had to be in a good place. They were all wonderful people so they had to be in a place like heaven.

A small smirk formed on my lips. Well, this was how religion started. Someone laying in the grass somewhere thinking the exact same thing he was thinking. Because that was how people had to think. They had to know that there was a better place. They had to believe that the people they loved were in a better place because it was a comfort. There was no comfort to losing someone so close though. From that I knew, there was no comfort in knowing you would never see the one you loved again. No comfort what so ever.

My eyes drifted shut and I took a deep breath. It would take a long time to get over him...and even then I knew I would never get over Brian. Brian was the first person in every way for me. Whatever way you could think of he was the first. Whether it was emotionally or physically (definitely physically) he was the first.

\"Christopher?\" no...no please don\'t talk to me Brian...please I can\'t take it. Not yet please. It took me six years to be able to hear my mother. Not a day. \"What happened to you Christopher? Please, show me what happened to you.\"

I opened my eyes and looked into the blue...

A/N : I love this story. Usually, after this much time, I get bored with a story and move on. (which is why I currently have 127 stories unfinished in random places). I may even have more then that because the LAST time I counted it was 127. Hmm, I wonder. Anyway, Review my goddamn story. Believe it or not it usually takes me being at gun point to even think about letting someone near my stories let alone read them. So be happy that I am allowing you ppl my story.

- Kissing on the beach is fun...what am I talking about? Kissing in general is fun!
