Chapter 24

Randi walked into the hospiteal to take Phillip and Stephan. Corey and Dennis went with her. Before they made it to either room, Aiden stopped them.
"I thought you'd stay away from here with all the commotion from earlier."
"Guess I'm not that smart. Is Lucas here?" she asked.
"You're lucky. He was about to leave. I'll go and get him." Aiden said.
"Go get them ready to go. If we're not allowed to take them then run out of here." She told them. They left her for the rooms. As she waited for Lucas, Randi studied the inside of the hospital.
The people didn't register as people to her. They were just figures walking around. All she could think of was the blood pumping in their veins. The way their chest rose and rell with every breath they took. She licked her lips and took a step forward.
Wait.
What was she doing? This wasn't her hunger. It was Edward's. Randi stood there still staring at the people but not thinking of them as food. That was a good thing, right?
"Randi?" Lucas said coming up behind her and placing a hand on her shoulder. She jumped and spun around. Lucas was awe struck. Her eyes so bright. An unnatural blue that he had never seen before. "Um, Aiden said that you ah, needed to talk to me." he stammered.
"Yeah, Lucas. We're leaving town." she told him.
"What, why?"
"Edward and Jaicyn's kiss, Daniel's pard, we're leaving for Newport, tonight, along with Kairi. We're here for Phillip and Stephan then we're going." Randi explained.
"You still haven't told me why, Randi."
"It's not safe for us here anymore. It'll be safer staying with Savannah's father. It will ensure all of our safety."
"When will you be back?" Randi hesitated.
"I don't know. But you'll be able to come to Newport and see me. I'll make sure of it."
"It's sad really." Lucas said with a small smile.
"What is?"
"We finally found each other after all this time and now you're leaving. It's a shame. I could have gotten used to a sister." Randi embraced him suddenly. He hadn't seen her move. He held her tightly.
"I'll always be here." She whispered.
"Take care of yourself, kid." Randi nodded against his shoulder.
"Lucas, Stephan and Phillip are gone. They're not in their rooms." Aiden said coming up to them. Rnadi pulled away and wiped away tears from her cheeks. Lucas eyed her a moment.
"Get security looking for them. Have them guard all the exits and check vacant rooms." she nodded and left. Lucas was almost sure that they were already out of the hospital. "I'll see you around, Randi."
"Bye, Lucas." she said. He looked at her for a moment longer before turning around to follow Aiden. Randi wiped away the last of her tears and started to leave the hospital. That was the last thing she remembered.

When Randi woke up she was laying on a hard surface. Her hands were bound behind her with thick rope. Her ankels were also tied together. She had been gagged with a cloth soaked in rubbing alcohol. It was not a pleasant taste.
It looked like she was in a cabin, or just a wooden room. But she could smell the trees and the earth. She knew that she was in the woods. It was still night. The windows in the room let her see that but she could feel the night outside. It was a different kind of feeling.
None of this scared her. What did was the fact she could hardly move her body. She should have been able to break the ropes easily but she couldn't. Her vision was doubled and her head swam. She felt a little nauseous. What the hell had happened to her?
"She's awake," a woman said. The voice sounded distant, hollow. It sounded familiar. The woman came into view.
"What..." Randi's voice didn't work right. Her words slurred. Plus she was gagged.
"Dont' try to talk. At least not now. You'll be able to talk soon, but not move." she said.
"Rose, get away from her." A man said coming into the room. Rose? Randi knew that name. No. This couldn't be right. Her foster parents could not have her! Her vision cleaned a little and she could make out their faces now.
"Is this really necessary?" Rose asked. Michael ignored her.
"You thought you could stay away after we found you. That your friends could keep you away. Turns out you were wrong." Michael told her. "You also can't hide what you've become. We know about you. About what happened tonight. You can hide nothing from us." Randi's eyes widened. They knew? How could they?
"That's right. And we're going to use you for everything that we can." Rose said.
"Starting now." Michael said. His eyes were filled with that raw look that most men get when they know they're about to have sex. Randi tried to roll away from him but her entire body just wouldn't move. Michael reached down and picked her up by the arm and drug her into the bedroom. Rose followed and closed the door behind her. He threw Randi on the bed and pulled out his knife. He cut the ropes at her ankles and pulled her jeans and underwear off. Randi still couldn't move and she wanted to move more than anything in the world. Tears poured from her eyes. Where was Edward? Couldn't he feel what was happening or did he just not care? The thought that he probably knew and wasn't doing anything nearly broke her heart. She stopped trying to fight.
Michael undid his jeans and climbed on top of her. He held his knife out to Rose. "You know what I want." She took it from him and nodded. He leaned over and kissed her roughly, all tongue. He pulled away and shoved himself into Randi. She screamed into the gag. Rose took the knife and plunged it into Michael's side as he picked up pace. He sighed from the pain but it only made him more wild, more rough.
This went on for an hour.
