Chapter 25
(Undercover Man)

“I don’t believe it; I gotta wait any where from 200 to 500 years as a vampire to be able to fly?”

Jaden tried not to whine, but failed miserably. As they flew home Jaden asked Marcus to let him fly. He was disappointed to learn that he would have to wait for that ability to come to him.

“That is just not fair. I want to fly, can’t you teach me?” Jaden had not even known that he was pouting, and Marcus tried not to laugh. Having arrived safely home, still carrying Jaden in his arms Marcus tried to explain how it worked.

However Jaden was not pleased and insisted he could fly if he really put his mind into it.

“You’ll see” he told Marcus, grinning like he just discovered the cure for the common cold. “Before you know it, I’ll be flying.”

All Marcus could do was smile in response, Jaden will just have to learn that some things take time; learning to fly is one of them. Having let go of Jaden, and wanting to distract his mind from flying Marcus placed a hand on his shoulder and said.

“My love tomorrow night is Christmas Eve and your birthday is the next night. Is there anything special you would like?”

They stood just outside of the den, and Jaden stopped and realized his birthday would actually be celebrated. He smiled and looked up at his lover while he moved in close and put his arms around his waist.

“Marcus you’ve given me so much already, all I want is to be with you. And if it’s ok with you, can we go to midnight mass at St. Patrick’s?”

Every year Jaden and Lizzie would go into Manhattan for the Christmas Eve midnight mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. It had become a tradition for them, and Lizzie loved to sit in the warm church and listen to the mass and music played for the faithful. Jaden was not religious but he did find comfort sitting and admiring his surroundings. People from all walks of life would attend the mass and it made him feel good to be able to do this for Lizzie.

For Lizzie he wanted to be able to keep going, and light a candle for her. As Marcus listened to Jaden’s request, he leaned in closer and kissed him. He could see sadness in his eyes. Jaden blinked back tears, and hugged Marcus.

“I wish Lizzie was here, you two would have been great pals. I miss her Marcus; going to mass tomorrow night would be great. And for Christmas day, at least this year, can we just stay home?

Marcus agreed he looked forward to spending the evening quietly with Jaden. He then asked Jaden if Victor and Adrian could join them as well. Jaden smiled, he was delighted to have all of them together. He turned and headed towards the den and told Marcus he will ask them, Marcus smiled in response letting Jaden know he will wait for him in their bedroom.

The only light in the den was from the chandelier with its lights dimmed low, Christmas tree and fireplace, and a few candles had been lit near the table where both Victor and Adrian sat playing chess. Aside from the caves below, the den was another favorite place for Jaden.

He found this room cozy and comfortable, with its big cushioned sofas and chairs. Hardwood floors stained in a dark walnut finish. The walls painted in cream with the trimming in white. The oversized fireplace with its large stone hearth and mantle cast inviting warmth for visitors to sit and put their feet up.

Marcus always kept fresh cut flowers, even in winter. Beautiful paintings and sculptured artwork strategically placed through out the room giving it an easy welcome relaxed feeling. A flat panel TV hidden in the wall behind a painting, when in use the painting would slide up the wall exposing a large screen, to Jaden it felt like he was in a movie theater.

There are thick plush pillows on the sofa and floor with area rugs in front of the sofa and fireplace. A beautiful chandelier hung from the ceiling; 47 inches high and 44 inches wide, 16 lights in tortoise leather crackle finish with stained silver leaf accents and crystal drops, each glass shade hand blown and the entire finish in bronze casting soft lighting in the room.

Although the den is a large room with 20 foot ceilings it still managed to give a warm small cozy feeling. Jaden loved this room; it is where he could sit on Marcus’s lap while he read to him. Cozy up with Marcus to see a movie or just lie down on the thick rug in front of the fireplace and take a nap with the ladies near him. He never felt overwhelmed with its luxurious but simple grandeur of the room, he felt save and welcomed.

A small game table with chess set in front of the floor to ceiling windows is where he found both Victor and Adrian sitting; absorbed in their game. Not understanding the game but Jaden always admired the chess set, made in the traditional burnt boxwood.

The chess pieces are actually burnt followed by a final carving and design which creates a beautiful contrast in colors between the blackened areas and the natural golden wood underneath, then the pieces are finished in a high gloss lacquer giving the set a glass-like finish.

He watched as each player made their moves without removing their eyes from each other. Adrian sat back in his chair with one naked leg over the armrest, his long dark auburn locks hung loosely behind his back, with a few wisp of hair framing his face.

In his hand he held a pawn letting it lightly play over his skin. Victor followed its trail as it slid down Adrian’s delicate cheek bone over his lips down to his chin. Indigo eyes followed the pawn from the chin down his neck and it kept going further down to his chest, it stopped there.

Even Jaden was mesmerized as he saw the chess piece move in slow languid circles over the nipple hidden under the silk robe Adrian wore. He could see the nipple respond underneath the fabric, a soft sigh soon followed. Jaden was not sure if it came from Adrian or Victor, perhaps both?

Jaden noticed that Adrian wore nothing but the robe; it was a beautiful silk robe with Japanese screen print of a black fire breathing dragon, it’s eyes blazing red, the background colors of the fabric in cream with swirls of gold and red hues, which was held loosely closed with its silk tie around his waist.

He could see amethyst eyes gently turning to a light pale purple, his lips slightly parted. It occurred to Jaden that their eye colors changed depending on the situation; he needed to remind himself to ask Marcus about that.

A small smile tugged on Victor’s lips, as he too sat back comfortably in his chair. He wore a white tailored shirt with the first 3 buttons undone and black wool slacks. His sleeves casually pulled back exposing strong arms, one hand resting on the table after he made his next move; his finger lightly tapping the table’s smooth wood finish.

Jaden noticed that they both wore the same gold ring with a dragon holding a large blue diamond. He sat down in a chair and watched them play for awhile; both men never took their eyes off of each other and kept that little smile as if each one knew a secret that the other did not know. Out of curiosity Jaden could not keep quiet any longer.

“Um so who’s winning?”

“It is anyone’s game at this point.” Victor breathed the words out with a horse whisper, his eyes becoming darker with lust.

Jaden grinned and turned to look at Adrian, “Soooo…. What do you get if you win?”

Pale lavender eyes blinked slowly and still staring into Victor’s eyes, “He has to pleasure me, for as long as I want, in any…. way…. I want.” His voice was low and almost breathless.

Nodding his head and trying not to laugh, Jaden leaned his elbows on the edge of the table with his chin resting in his hands, he then turned to Victor. “And? What do you get if you win?”

Not missing a beat, darkest blue eyes staring back at lavender, “I get to pleasure him, for as long as I want, in….. Anyway I want.” Victor licked his lips slowly, smiling at his lover.

Jaden’s eyes opened wide and barely heard Adrian moan. “Well” Jaden said as he moved away from the table and standing up. “Looks like a win win to me.” as he turned to leave he wished them both, good luck. Turning back when he remembered, “Oh by the way, would you guys like to go with me and Marcus to the Christmas midnight mass tomorrow night?”

Dark blue and lavender eyes still staring had managed to respond and thanked Jaden for the invitation. “Of course little brother, Adrian and I would be honored to join you both.”

Adrian nodded in agreement, “Thank you my lovely, for including us.”

Jaden couldn’t help but let out a small laugh, as he turned once more to leave he could see under the table, Adrian had his bare foot between Victor’s legs, and Victor was caressing his leg as he made his next move, smiling. “Check” Victor breathed out to his lover. Not wanting to intrude, Jaden left the room.

As he made his way down to his bedroom, Jaden thought about the game of chess. He always thought it was a game for super smart geeks, and considered it boring. But after what he witnessed he was determined to learn to play the game with Marcus.

Jaden entered in the main living room of the caves, as he was about to head towards their bedroom, he stopped and remembered Adrian working in the room next to theirs. The door was closed, his nose twitched with curiosity.

Looking around to see if Marcus was any where near by he quietly tip toed over to the door. He was about to turn the knob, when Cindra came out of no where and nudged him in the hip. Jaden jumped back with a little yelp.

“Shit girl, don’t sneak up on me!” he whispered hoarsely, his eyes scanning the area to see if Marcus heard him. He looked down at Cindra and put his finger to his lips.

“ssssh, not a sound.” Cindra tilted her head to her side, as if scolding him. “Aw come on baby girl, where’s your sense of adventure?” Jaden grinned at her.

Cindra snorted in response, and shook her head.

“I don’t care what you think, how you gonna learn anything if you don’t explore?”

Cindra snorted again and showed him her back side as she turned to head back into their bedroom. Jaden looked at her in surprise with eyes wide open, still staring in her direction his eyes narrowed to a glare.

“Coward.” He whispered at her.

He shook his head in amazement and thinking to himself. [I swear Cindra is more human then dog.] Left alone once more, Jaden grinned again.

Standing in front of the heavy wooden door he placed his hand on the bronze handle and turned. His eyes scanning the living space one more time, as he entered the room leaving the door wide open.

Jaden could see that this room was not as large as the bedroom, but it was spacious enough. Not needing light to see, but out of habit he switched on the overhead light.

Because the underground dwellings are carved out of rock, the cavern room itself did not have sharp corners, but the estimated size of the room could be about 12 by 14, ceilings as high as 12 feet. A thick plush area rug in earth tones, set in the middle of the stone floor.

At the end of one wall he admired a dark chocolate colored leather couch with cozy pillows, a cream and dark green colored cashmere throw with gold threads intertwined within the design. A matching chair with ottoman completed the small living area.

Across from the couch a large entertainment center, complete with a big screen TV and high tech stereo system. He looked at the other side of the room, two walls lined with bookshelves. The shelves filled with books Jaden could not read but it was all leather bound and looked very expensive, a beautiful dark mahogany wood desk in front of the shelves with its own leather chair in dark green. Jaden let his hands pass over the buttery soft leather.

“Sweet, who knew leather, could be so sexy to touch?”

Jaden stared opened mouthed, at the computer on the desk. He had never seen anything so sleek and intimidating at the same time. He could see it was a laptop computer that could be separated from its docking station, a 20 inch monitor with a cordless mouse and keyboard.

Everything and anything that a computer expert ever needed was here, state of the art speakers, printer, scanner, and a cell phone within its own cradle. He carefully opened the draw to find a beautiful gold pen and pencil set in a dark green velvet gift box.

He went back to the entertainment center and opened doors and draws to find movies and music CDs. “Wow” Jaden whispered.

So absorbed in his explorations, he was spooked and jumped back when he heard a soft deep voice speak to him.

“Do you like it?”

Marcus was leaning up against the entrance with his arms crossed, and Cindra sat by his side. Feeling betrayed by man’s best friend, Jaden tried to look menacing at the dog.

“Tattle tail.” Jaden hissed at her, Cindra just yawned and smacked her chops the way humans do when they first wake up.

Jaden looked up at Marcus, trying to give him his best look of innocence. He smiled weakly and extended his hands away from his body in a surprised gesture. Marcus stood there watching to see what his little love had to say, his face gave nothing away.

“Mar…. Marcus, hi. Um…. I just came in to you know…. To see if I could help A….Adrian, and well I kinda got distracted, and um, and um well you know, this room! Whoa and the stuff in here is kinda nice, I mean. “

Seeing as Marcus made no effort to move from his spot, and Cindra looked like she was laughing at him, Jaden continued to explain how he came to the room.

“I mean I, I thought I take a look, and yeah! To see if I could help Adrian finish, yeah that’s right to help Adrian and ah, um guess Adrian didn’t need any help after all huh?”

He gave Marcus his best smile and batted long lashes at him, Marcus still said nothing, and Cindra woofed at him. Knowing that he had been caught red handed; he dropped his hands down to his side and lowered his head in supplication. Throwing his mercy on the court

“Oh hell, shit Marcus I was snooping around, sorry.”

He heard Marcus sigh as he slowly entered the room and Cindra rushed over to Jaden. She got up on her hind legs and put her big paws on his chest, not prepared for Cindra’s weight she managed to knock Jaden down onto the thick rug.

He laughed as Cindra put her whole weight on his body licking his face.

“Ahhhhh yuck! Ok, ok, slobber face. I give, you win!” Jaden failed to see a tight smile almost escape from Marcus’s lips as he came closer to them.

The sight of the huge dog almost larger then the smaller man struggling to escapes its slobbering kisses were priceless. Jaden’s giggles and laughter was honey to Marcus’s soul.

Marcus stood over the pair, and snapped his fingers. Cindra looked up panting at her master, slightly tilting his head as he arched his eyebrow encouraging Cindra to get off of Jaden and sit down beside him.

Jaden watched in surprise, Cindra never failed to amaze him as she understood a command or a simple gesture. He watched as Marcus opened another door in the room, which led to their bedroom next door. Jaden could not believe he missed that door as he was looking around. In the meantime Marcus had gone into the bath and returned with a damp cloth.

Jaden was about to wipe his face with his sleeve, when Marcus knelt down in front of him and wiped his face with the warm cloth. Jaden leaned in closer to Marcus, his eyes closed and a small smile on his lips.

“Mmmmm, that feels real nice.” He was in a blissful trance, letting Marcus care for him. Leaning in closer to him, in the hopes of getting a sexy kiss. He felt Marcus’s warm breath near his neck, low soft whisper in his ear. The sound of his voice however, gave him a chill down his spine.

“You were trespassing; you must pay the price for your transgression.”

Jaden sat straight up and looked into serious ice blues eyes.

[Holy crap! I’m toast.] The only sound out of Jaden’s mouth was a low whimper.
