A/N: Sigh… sorry I got a new game and I’ve been playing that. I’ll try to get the next up tomorrow night. I found out when I start school. After June 29, I might start slowing down in updating. If I stop fear not I will return with a fresh mind. Read and enjoy!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“What the hell are you doing to my little brother!?”
“Zee…” Rune stood in front of him, “back off!”
“Wait… what!?” They looked at Keir.
He sighed, “Sorry Keir.” He waved to the other person. “This is my older brother, Zach.”
Keir looked at Zach, he was taller than Rune. He stood at six foot two inches. His hair was an orange color that hung around his face, was straight, and stopped half way down his neck. Zach’s eyes were the same color as his animal form but they had a more cat like appearance. He had on faded blue jean pants with rips in them.
“You have a brother.”
“I thought I didn’t when he went missing with our family.”
“You two don’t look alike.”
“Different fathers.” They both said at once.
The small male looked at Zach, “Zee, you can’t hurt him!”
“Why not?” He growled.
“Because he’s the only person who cares about my feelings!”
Zach looked at him and he tipped his head to the side, “What about me?”
“Other than family.”
“Fine, I won’t hurt him.”
“Hey I heard shouting!” Keir grabbed Rune in his arms and he was running.
“We’re leaving now!”
“What about Zach?”
There was a loud snarl and then screams. “I think that answered it.” Keir jumped over a bush and slid to a stop. “Shit.” They had some sitting at the park entrance. He sat Rune on the ground, “Get on my back.”
Rune climbed up and looked at the gate, “What are you doing?”
“You’ll see.” He ran forward, jumped, used the top of the stone pillar as a spring and landed on the other side of the road. Keeping crouched he looked over his shoulder. The men didn’t move, “Dumbasses.” He turned to Rune, “Stay low.”
He nodded and followed Keir. They made it to his car; pulling the keys out of his pocket he unlocked the door. Once they were in the car, Rune looked out his window. Something landed next to the car and Keir found Rune in his lap. “Rune?”
Looking out the window he saw Zach. He jabbed his finger behind him and he quickly climbed in. “Be easy with the door.”
“Got it.”
The small male climbed back in his seat and gave a sigh. “Damn, my poor heart.”
“We’re leaving…” He started the car and the guys at the gate turned to see a car race down the street.
~~~~
Dawn walked over and handed a cup of warm liquid to Zack. “Thank you.”
“You welcome.” She sat down next to Caden. “Now tell us what’s going on.”
“Kai said Rune was out with someone, so I tracked him to the park. When I got there I saw Sweepers.”
“Sweepers. Keir did someone find out about…”
“No dad.”
“Then who?”
“Most likely me.” Rune was sitting next to Keir. He wanted to go upstairs and curl next to Keir, not be down here talking. He couldn’t curl up next to Keir because he didn’t want Keir’s family to react like his did. “Zee, if their after me they might be after the others.”
“We should tell them.”
“But why are they after the missing children?” He gripped his dark colored hair. “I wish Akira was here or Willow. They would be able to give us more ideas.”
“Hey… Rune…” Zach smiled. “We may look to Akira as a leader but sometimes we need to be able to fight without one.”
“He’s got a point.” Caden was leaning over his hands on his knees. “Do you think they’ll try to get Akira?”
Rune shook his head. “As long as they don’t know, he’s safe.”
“He’s right; Akira is safer where he’s at.”
Keir looked at Rune and then his mother, “They can stay here?”
“Yes of course.” She looked at the orange haired male and the Rune. “Are you two…?”
Dawn wasn’t stupid she saw how Keir had stiffened. “No we’re brothers.”
“Then how come you can shift and Rune here can hear what animals say?”
“Abner did something to us when we were in there.” The orange haired male was frowning. “He messed with our DNA. I watched as he did something to Rune and well I was a wake through the whole damn thing for me. I’ll kill him for what he did!”
“He’s already dead.”
“What? Who?”
“I don’t know.” Rune had his head down and he looked at Keir. “We haven’t found out.”
Zach nodded and he sighed. “Okay, fine.”
“Well are any of you hungry?” Dawn was standing now.
They all looked at Zach when they heard a loud growl. “Sorry, I haven’t eaten anything since I got to the city.”
“How long have you been here?”
“Two days.”
The small male shook his head, “And you didn’t try to eat anything?”
“No money!” Zach had a grin on his face as he rubbed the back of his head. He yelped when Rune grabbed his hair.
“You idiot! Why didn’t you go to Kai or one of the others, they would have been happy to feed your ass? Lucy even asked about you!”
“She did!”
“Yes.”
Dawn got up and left the room and Keir followed after her. “Mom.”
She stopped and looked at him, smiling she beckoned him closer. When he stood next to her she looped her arms around his arm. “Now why are you following me?”
“Where are…?”
“They’re up in their room sleeping; Nina is watching them for me.”
“Okay.” Her eyes looked at him.
“You and Rune seem close lately.”
“Really?” Now he was going to have to be careful.
“Yes. Keir, I’m just going to toss it out there, but do you like Rune?”
“Of course. He’s easy to get along with.”
“Keir you know what I mean.”
He smiled and sigh, “Sometimes I wonder if you can read my mind.”
“No I can hear the music.”
Keir smirked, “Don’t let Rune know that you know. He thinks you’ll dislike him.”
“How can anyone dislike that boy? He’s too sweet.” Dawn hugged his arm and then let go as they walked into the kitchen. “Don’t let him get away.”
He sat down in a chair and watched as she started to make dinner. “One more month.”
“Hmmm?”
“Zev.”
She smiled as she moved around the kitchen, “Don’t worry I’ll hand the kitchen back over to him.”
He folded his arms on the counter top in front of him and laid his head down on his arms. Dawn looked over her shoulder to see him looking off to one side. The black haired male always sat in the kitchen when she cooked. They could never figure out why.
~~~~
Rune threw his hands in the air, “Yes. For the fucking last time yes.”
“Are you sure?” Zach saw the look on Rune’s face and he sighed. “I’m only looking out for you.”
“I know but… I like Keir. Sometimes I don’t deserve to be with him.”
“Bullshit… with all the bad karma you’ve been through you deserve some good karma.” He took a drink of the warm tea.
“But I can’t even go all the way with him.”
The orange haired male spit out what was in his mouth, “What?”
The small male couldn’t help but start laughing. “Oh… that haha funny!”
“Rune you know I don’t like that… damn caught me off guard, too.”
He was laughing so hard that tears were in his eyes. Rubbing at his eyes he looked at his brother. “Why can’t I go through with it?”
“Maybe your body is trying to tell you something… hell I don’t know.” Taking the back of his hand Zach wiped at his mouth. “Did you try ignoring it and going through with it.”
“Keir caught on.”
“He’s really good then.” This time he chose to sit the cup down as he talked to Rune. “Maybe you just need a push?”
“He won’t push me into something unless I’m willing. I’m scared he might leave.”
“Okay.” Zach rubbed at his chin and sighed. “Well I’m out of ideas, where’s the toilet in this house?”
“Down the hall, it the third door on the right, the only door that’s left open on this floor.”
“Okay.” He stood and left Rune alone, once in the hall way he glanced over his shoulder and quickly made his way down the hall. No he wasn’t going to the bathroom; he was on a mission now. The look on Rune’s face did not belong there.
He stood outside the kitchen and he glanced into the room. His eyes searched for Keir. Once he found him he called out to him.
Keir turned around, he found Zach looking over his shoulder and then the male was beckoning him over. His eyebrow rose. He got up and walked over, “What do you want?”
“I need to talk to you, now, in privet,” Zach glanced over his shoulder again, “preferably where Rune can’t find us.”
“Why?”
“I’ll tell you once we’re there.”
“Fine.”
Once they were in a room with the door closed Zach turned to him. “You need to give him a little push, not a big one just a small one.”
“I take it he told you.”
“Yeah and he thinks you might…” rubbed the back of his neck, “you know… leave.”
“Why would I leave?”
“Because he thinks he’s not doing his share.”
“What?” He turned to leave but Zach stopped him. “Let go, I’m going to fix this.”
“Don’t, not right now.” Turning Keir looked at him. “Later or tomorrow after I leave.”
“Fine.”
“Well I’m hungry. Let’s go eat.” He was already out the door and down the hall. ‘Please let this work.’
~~~~
After dinner Rune walked into the guest room, “You can stay here.”
“It smells like smoke.” Zach had waved his hand in front of his nose.
“Akira sometimes bunks in here.”
“Why?”
“Sunrise.”
“That’s right.”
“It’s good to know you’re still alive. Well night.”
“Yeah same here.” He grinned and waved as the door closed. ‘Good luck.’
Rune walked down the hall. He stopped when Kaya ran past him then he saw Nuri, “Come back here with my hat!”
“No way!” Kaya had a hat on her head. “It smells like my best friend.”
‘That’s right Nuri and Kaya are sharing a room.’
“I don’t care give it back!” They both rounded a corner and it grew quiet.
He continued down the hall and stopped at Keir’s door. Taking a breath he placed his hand on the handle, ‘Tonight I’ll do it!’ Just then it opened. He was yanked inside and the door closed.
“W-wait, put me down!”
“No.” He sat the small male in the office chair and placed his hands on both armrests. The small male was trapped. Blue met purple and he couldn’t move. “Rune, do you like me?”
His heart stopped, ‘Oh no, here it comes.’
“Relax; it’s not what you think.”
“But…”
“I don’t care if you don’t want to do this for the rest of your life, but I don’t think I could leave.” His hand brushed his cheek and Rune pushed his face into his hand. “Rune I really care about you.”
Tears came to his eyes and he could help it but he felt so stupid now. “I’m so sorry!”
“Hey, please don’t cry.” He really wasn’t good with tears. “Rune.” The black haired male kissed his cheek. He could taste the salty tears on his lips. “Please stop.” Rune rubbed his eyes and tried to stop.
Their foreheads touched and he leaned forward and kissed him. His crying slowly stopped as Keir kept kissing him. He soon found his hands in his hair. Looking at Rune he smiled and kissed him on the lips once more. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to make you upset.”
“But it’s not you! It’s me! I’m upset at myself!” He placed his finger tips against his head and shook it. “You’re just sitting and waiting for me to finally get use to everything, and I’m scared because it’ll be my first time.”
“Why didn’t you just say that?”
He looked to the side and shrugged. “Don’t know. Keir?”
“Yes.”
“Can we…” he started to push his fingers together as he blushed, “try tonight?”
“Really?”
“Yeah. I want to try, again.”
Rune found himself up in the air and they moved over to the bed. As soon as his back touched the mattress they were already making out. Keir moved down his neck and he saw Rune’s hand trying to find the remote to the radio. His hand beat him to it and he turned it on, then he tossed it over his shoulder.
“Hey! I wanted to pick!”
He nipped at his neck, “No distractions.”
His yellow shirt was pulled off and dropped onto the floor, where Keir’s shirts soon followed. Sharp fangs grazed over his neck and Rune gasped. His panting and soft moans were loud in Keir’s ears.
The small male cried out when Keir started to tease one of his nipples. His tongue flicked over it and he pushed his body against his. Pushing him back onto the bed he made his way down his stomach. He glanced up to make sure Rune was okay. Instead of tightly closed eyes, he found maroon colored eyes watching him.
They held eye contact and he started to unbutton Rune’s pants. Climbing back up the small body they kissed and he let his hand slip into his pants. Rune gasped and arched into his cool hand. His body shook as that hand moved. “K-keir…!”
“What?” Keir’s hand stopped.
He shook his head and blushed as he mumbled something.
“What?”
Turning his head against Keir’s shoulder he whimpered, “Don’t… stop.”
He smirked and started to stroke him again. The small male buried his head against Keir’s neck and kept moaning out his name over and over. Glancing down he went red when he saw Keir’s hand stroking his erection. The black haired male pulled his hand away causing Rune to whimper and he pushed the small male’s pants down further.
He yelped when his pants were yanked off along with his boxers. His body stiffened when he felt something push at his entrance and it slipped in. He started to shake, “Shhh… relax…” Keir was sitting up now and was knelt between his legs. Warm blue eyes looked down at him and he found his body slowly relaxing.
“It feels weird.”
“It’ll feel better.” Those cool fingers moved, pushing and pulling. He soon found himself pushing back and gasping. “Does this feel good?” He slipped another finger in and Rune’s whole body arched off the bed.
“Ah!”
“Well?” He rubbed over that spot again.
“Haaah!” The small body was quivering as he kept touching that spot over and over again. “Aaah… Keir… yes” One hand curled in the sheets as the other one raised up over his mouth. He bit down on the back of his hand to keep from crying out.
“There’s no need to hide your voice.” He roughly pushed against that spot.
His head fell back, “Aaah!”
“No one will hear.”
When he moved his hand, Keir saw that the small male had broken skin. He gently took it and licked over the wound. Keir watched as Rune’s face grew redder. “Keir… Ah!” His hand fell to the bed and gripped at the sheets. Those fingers still worked at stretching him. “Strange…… so hot…”
Rune’s whole body jerked up as Keir gripped his weeping cock. “Then you must really be feeling it.”
“Ah... hah…… Keir!” His head shook and his hands pulled at the sheets. “So weird… I feel so… weird!”
He felt Rune’s whole body jerk up into his hand and then he cried out as he came. The small body became still and Keir leaned over him, “Rune?” He sighed and climbed off the bed.
^^^^
Rune came to hearing someone typing. It felt like he was floating on a cloud. Turning his head he came saw Keir at the computer. Turning his head he placed his hand on the spot where Keir would have been. It was slightly warm, that meant Keir had just gotten up. His purple eyes found the clock and he sat up.
Keir turned around and looked at him. “Afternoon.”
“Why didn’t you wake me?”
“Hmmm, why? You looked to cute.”
He blushed and looked down. The shirt he was wearing wasn’t his, but the black button up shirt that Keir had on the yesterday. The top two buttons were unbuttoned. Then he remembered last night. “Did we…?”
“No you passed out before we could.” He turned back to the computer.
“What about you?”
“What about me?”
“Didn’t you want…?”
Keir turned back around and looked at him. “Maybe next time.” Rune slipped out from under the covers and stood up. The shirt stopped at his knees and the sleeves covered his hands. He padded over and looked at him.
“I’ll try not to pass out next time.”
“Hmmm, how about tonight?” He kissed the small male.
“I have gig tonight.”
He saw the look on Keir’s face. “I think you should stay home tonight.”
“Why?”
“The Sweepers are looking for you.”
“But…”
“They’ll understand.”
“But…”
“Rune.”
Rune sighed and hung his head. “Fine, I’ll go call them.” Keir kissed him on the forehead as he ran a finger over the bite mark on his hand. “Keir…”
“Hmmm.”
He shook his head, “Never mind.” Instead he kissed him. An arm snaked its way around his waist as they deepened the kiss. Fingers tangled in Keir’s hair and he let a soft moan slip out. He couldn’t get enough of his kissing. It was like a drug, very addicting.
The door opened and Keir turned his head when Rune stiffened in his arms. His mom stood there, “Sorry, carry on.” The door was about to shut when she peeked back in. “There is a reason we have locks on all the doors.” Then it shut. As soon as the door closed Rune tipped back.
“Rune!” He tightened his grip and the small male hung there. “Rune?”
“I’m sorry Keir, she found out.”
Keir looked off to the side, “Yeah she already found out.”
He lifted his head up, “What?”
“She’s smarter than you think.”
“Is she okay with us?” The black haired male nodded and sat him in his lap. “Can we just lay around today?”
“Yeah.”

“Why didn’t you just say that?”
He looked to the side and shrugged. “Don’t know. Keir?”
“Yes.”

“Yeah.”
